this is my first one i ever have bought and been this in detail of use. i used another company's a few years back who made all of there own signs for trucks to what ever because its a lot cheaper to do it in house then to have someone else make signs when mine are so simple. I'm Glad i purchased it and followed the dvd step by step on set up just to make sure that i didn't make any errors in set up and it works great I'm using windows vista which not alot of things seem to work well with it but this program and cutter i have not any troubles with have had the unit for 5 days and used all of the material it came with now ordering more.

okay set simply because it contains a rounded hook style cable needle, which is my personal preference. It contains a longer version but is slightly narrower and also the straight version with the bump in the middle that I frankly find a bit disfunctional. Bought these out of desperation because I couldn't find in the stores at the time I needed them. Like having a few extras but there is really only one needle that I guarantee I will use....will see what my future needs will bring with the others.

The green glows beautifully, the lilac not so much.

I got this thinking the bags were much bigger looking at the picture, but they are pretty small.

The glow works pretty well for 3 of the colors, all but the lilac I just wish I got more powder for the money.

Among other passions, I'm a graphic designer, calligrapher and artist. I love the feel of ink on paper. I decorate stuff every chance I get -envelopes I send notes in, shopping lists, make my own wrapping paper, shipping boxes, etc. I'm always up for buying and trying new markers, pens, ink, etc. This was my first op with these. They have good opaque coverage on light or dark paper (or on top of, say, black marker). The three metallic colors are good (silver is very bright on dark colors; I like it! Copper is good, too. Gold is okay, but a little dull compared to the others. I prefer oil-based Sharpies for gold metallic). Ink of these is matte, not shiny (unless you use a gloss spray over it). Tip is easy to control, and feel is good. It is indeed "medium" size. So far, none has gotten used up, hence I can say ink capacity is not skimpy (but I use many various markers, not exclusively these, so cannot yet tell you it's robust.) Bottom line: if matte metallic is okay with you, and the price is affordable, you'll probably be very, very pleased with the premium quality of these markers.

I just finished my FIRST QUILT EVER!! It's a baby sized quilt, so nothing amazing. When I was shopping for feet related to clothing making I saw this foot and figured it was inexpensive so added it to my card with the quilt I just finished in mind. I pieced it together and finally got to the 'stitch in the ditch' part. Please keep in mind I am teaching myself how to make this as I go along. I don't even OWN a 'real' quilt, just machine made bedspreads etc. Now that I've used the foot I understand why it's so useful. My first quilt looks AMAZING. The 'ditch' stitching is neatly tucked into the joined seams. You can't even see them on the face of the quilt, but the quilt has that distinctive 'quilted' look. I don't know how else to put it. Now I'm going to try the Distinctive Free Motion foot for the all over quilting. I'll be reviewing that foot next!

To the mechanics of the foot itself, it attached perfectly to my older Singer. The bit of metal that goes 'in the ditch' guides you really well, but it has enough 'give' that excessive pressure to it just nudges it over a little. You move the foot back, and the metal bit just goes back to center. Basically, I hit a few spots where it got tripped up by there being something to push against (my own mistakes in putting the quilt together) and the bit didn't bend. I was really afraid I'd ruined it a couple times, but it sprang back like a champ.

I LOVE this foot! I purchased a lot of fleece remnants and sewed them together to make blankets for the homeless shelter. I was able to butt the fleece pieces together and join them with a decorative stitch. This was a very easy and inexpensive way to provide blankets for the homeless clients at the shelter.

I bought this presser foot to do some basic machine quilting with a simple stitch in the ditch method and have found some of the other Distinctive brand presser feet very useful (like the Distinctive 1-4 (Quarter Inch) Quilting Sewing Machine Presser Foot with Edge Guide Fits All Low Shank Snap-On Singer*, Brother, Babylock, Husqvarna Viking (Husky Series), Euro-Pro, White, Bernina (Bernette Series), New Home, Elna and More! and Distinctive Non-Stick Sewing Machine Presser Foot Fits All Low Shank Snap-On Singer*, Brother, Babylock, Viking (Husky Series), Euro-Pro, Janome, Kenmore, White, Juki, Bernina (Bernette Series), New Home, Necchi, Elna and More!). The presser foot fits my Brother CP6500 perfectly.

But, I can't say I'm overly impressed. Sure, it's helping me keep to the ditch when quilting, but the small guide goes astray quite easily. What happens is the ditch guide attached to the foot very easily wobbles and bends, and even gets caught up behind seam edging. I was sewing a slow to moderate speed when using this, but I'd imagine anyone sewing at a fast speed would most definitely break off the ditch guide if it got caught up on the fabric and it wasn't caught in time.

I'm sure other presser feet could be used to stitch in the ditch without the guide, and although I don't have any quilt projects planned (for now) I imagine that if one happened to come along I might just use another presser foot.

I had not sewn in a while and took on making several evening gowns. This was one of the products that made the results look professional. What a fantastic thing. When you are trying sew inside of a seam such as going acoss the shoulder on a sleeveless shirt to hold the facing in, just pop this on, put a little tension on your fabric to open the seam a bit and go for it! The foot has a little plow that runs along in front of th needle so that there is a well hidden seam. I love it.

I have 4 of these in my front windows and they look so pretty at night. I love the automatic on at dusk/off at dawn without having to use batteries. Good price; the only drawback is I have to buy them online and pay shipping/handling which costs the same as or more than the product itself in this case if buying only 1. After 20 years of putting my window candles on timers throughout the long New England winter, I opted to replace my dozen with these which have sensors. I was completely delighted with the size (the bases fit all my various sills) and pleased to see they had the full 7 watt bulbs -unlike the weaker battery models. My only problem was this: in the kitchen, the sensor did not "read" dusk even when it was dark outside the window, because there was too much light in the room. My husband wrapped the stems with white paper secured with tape, which acted like a lampshade. Voila! They now come on at dusk just as all the others do. Having lights in my windows is a profound pleasure of winter evenings; these are the best I've found.

I have 12 of these in my house. I expected at least one to have a defect but all 12 worked perfectly! I even dragged one of them off the counter by mistake and it fell to the tile floor and the bulb smashed but the light is still working just fine. I looked at all the different window light options and at first wanted the LED battery ones but after looking at all the ones available decided not to get them for the below reasons.

1. From all the reviews I have seen the LED bulbs either come in organge (think halloween orange) or white (LED super bright harsh white). I did not want orange lights. These plug in look so much nicer and the light color is closer to an actual flame coloring. This was probably the most important difference for me. I did not want halloween orange lights.

2. From all the reviews it appears the battery lights are not as bright. I live on .5 acre and am set away from the road. My neighbor across the street who is at least 300 ft away from me commented on how nice and bright the lights are.

3. I thought that battery ones would be easier but after researching it I found that is not exactly the case. It seems most of the LED have timers but you have to set the timer based on when the light is initially on. People commented that they would have them all set (if you have a lot you need to work quick to set them all together as they have to be set individually). Once it came time to change batteries you have to try to get the new lights in sync with the old ones. With these plug in lights they have a light sensor and automatically come on when it is dark and turn off when it is light.

4. Some people commented on the batteries in the LED's only lasting 1-2 months for the AA and 3-4 months for the C kind. I did not want to bother with having to change batteries since I am running 12 lights. I like that I just plug it in and leave it.

5. I thought it would be cheaper to use the batteries but after calculating the cost I found it would cost me $3.00 to run all 12 lights 12hrs a day for a month. It would cost me around $9.00 to run the LED's (assuming the 2 C batteries in each would last 4 months). So it was cheaper for me to get the plug in ones.

So in review: If you are looking at these vs. LED

-The color of these are much nicer unless you are going for that LED bright white or orange

-They are brighter (according to folks who own LED battery ones)

-They are easy, plug it in and forget it!

-They may be cheaper depending on your electricity rate and what cost you can get batteries

Obviously I have not owned the battery led but went through every model I could find and looked at every review (both good and bad) and this is the information I found.

Overall I love these and am VERY happy with my purchase. I will probably leave them on all winter as I love the way they look. They are bright so if you need complete darkness while you sleep they might not be for you. I have them in my bedroom and my sons and we have no issue with them on while sleeping. Yes, they are light weight but I just added a little bit of masking tape to the base and they sit fine.

Singer Hair Care Scissors Set with Comfort Grip Review

I know it's a cheap price but these scissors are really cheap. They say for cutting hair but when trying to cut hair it pushes it sideways before grabbing it. I'd sooner pay a little more and try to find a better one but seeing they are all made in China now, I doubt it. My old one I'm trying to replace was a Singer the size of the small one in this package but it was old enough to be made in the good old USA and it worked for many long years to cut my hair and my dogs.
