I was able to create a path that fit exactly in the shape I wanted it to. I have a very curvy path running through my soon to be garden and the Pathmate fit perfectly. It was hard work but working with concrete just is. I mixed Terracotta color to the concrete and it took me three days to get it done. I love how the path came out and would recommended this product it to anyone. I uploaded some photos, have fun!

Quikrete WalkMaker Country Stone Pattern --

Creating a path in my side yard using the Country Stone pattern between two pre-existing concrete slabs presented a problem what to do if the area to be covered cannot be equally divided based upon the length of the WalkMaker form?

I formed the concrete path as per normal directions until I arrived at the final span to be covered by the Country Stone pattern.

The area remaining to be covered was short of the form's length. I measured the remaining walk at 14.75" I then placed the form on an adjacent area [not part of the walk.] I backfilled the form with mud from the available dirt in the area. The dimensions of the backfilled area matched the intersecting area between the form and the existing slab. I then filled the remaining spaces in the form with the normal concrete used for the walkway. I removed the form and touched-up the "stones." The concrete was allowed to cure overnight.

The following morning, I removed the mud and lifted the trucated stone pattern. Placing the "stones" in now-finished walkway allowed the pattern to abutt the slab in a natural manner.

The pathways my son-in-law and I made (quite easily) with a few bags of cement, this mold, and a few bags of pebbles absolutely transformed my yard. For about 1/3 the cost of pavers.

How good are these, let me tell you they are great. They cut really well but I did find if I used thin paper, it worked better with layers. They worked well on Vellum as well as Pearl card. I found the thinner one embossed into card stock really well.

The large flake make a great gift tag by itself or use it as a focal. Combine other dies to create dimensional tags. Love the thin delicate snowflake. Tiny holes in the dies allow for easy release of the cutout. Great set!

This is finger paint and simply that. Our twenty month old loves to paint and he loves getting his hand into these paints. They work great and clean up is easy. He got some on the wall and it came right offeven after it dried. Not only that, it was red paint which stains everything. Came right up. When we run out we'll be buying some more!

This is a great improvement over Crayola's old finger paint.

Pros:

Easy to dispense (nice soft tubes)

Good color selection

Comes off skin and clothes easily with soap and water

Cons:

like all finger paint the colors are a little transparent so mixing the colors doesn't always work (i.e. red + blue doesn't really make something that looks like purple)

All in all, my favorite fingerpaint!

It's funny how the smallest things make the difference: a squeeze top bottle! This set of four colors are stored in squeezable containers with squeeze tops. Super easy to distribute and control. Much better than the 10 color set that Crayola makes, where you can't get the paint out without a mess. And the gravity feed style of these means you aren't scraping the bottom of a jar trying to get paint out.

The colors are lively, the blend well, and it all washes up well. It doesn't say so on the box, but these dried quickly, much faster than other products. And they had a thickness to them that left the finished artwork with a bit of texture and depth...definitely not flat. A nice effect!

As with anything that says "washable", remember that it's possible for them to stain clothing. And carpet. I would definitely buy this again and wish they had even more colors to choose from.

One suggestion for more fun: other than fingers, I gave my son some old makeup brushes, specifically the bigger blush and foundation brushes. Not only were they free, but they gave a neat effect on his pictures and the bristles didn't fall out like cheap brushes. They washed up well and can be reused. AND, ta-da, they seemed to fit his hands better since they were shorter than most!

These paints have a really bad chemical smell to them. It was so strong that my 3 year old tried to paint one-handed, using his other hand to pinch his nose closed. He eventually gave up painting because the smell was making him sick. I didn't notice the smell until I was cleaning up, but then I could totally understand why he didn't want to paint. I threw the paints away after one use.

So I got this and since it needs pens I got those too. However, somewhere along the line I seem to have missed the mark because the refill pens don't fit into the airbrush as it should and now I have to tape them in for it to work. Such a drag, but the one that comes with it works. Otherwise its a nice system and does what it says it will. A bit noisy but that is to be expected. Amazon could warn you that a can of air is considered harmful. So it got stopped and I had to go thru an entire process. I gather this is normal so Anazon should know.

I love that Fiskars has these cartridges that use can be interchangeable with the border punch base. For one it is such a genius idea because it saves space, and then you have more space to buy all the different cartridges. The Stars Aligned border punch cartridge is cute on scrapbook pages or I made a My nephew's birthday card with it. There are so many ways to use this cartridge. The ideas are never ending!!!! My purchase of the star punch couldn't have been more timely as I used it to make invitations for the Fourth of July party at my sister's house. The Speedball Speedy Carve Stamp Making Kit is a great starter kit for carved stamps. It is easy to use with two interchangeable blades for carving. The instructions are helpful and include some patterns and techniques. Great price and kit if you are just getting started with carved stamps.

I liked the kit for a started piece. The rubber was large enough to make (re: attempt to make) a few stamps. One worked out alright of the four I attempted. Issue I had were the nibs, there was a small and a medium, I would have rather had a fine tip and the medium or gouge tool for the dead space around my designs. Over all though it was okay.

I have only had these pencils for a short time. I have not fully explored the possibilities but, in my opinion they produce lovely, saturated color. Forty-eight pencils is more than sufficient for a beginner, and I am sure I will have lots of fun adding color to my "tangles". Enjoy!
