I recently ordered one of these for my mother after seeing the same item on the Singer website for twice the price. We were a bit skeptical because the one on Amazon says it's by "Goldstar", but we decided to try it first and send it back if she wasn't happy. She loves it. It even came in packaging that said "Singer" and no mention of "goldstar". She was so happy with it that she wanted me to order her sister one (only a day or two after she recieved her first one). Easy enough on Amazon with a few clicks and it was done. When she recieved the second one it was in different packaging and the unit itself wasn't the same quality as the first one. Much of the metal was thinner, the foot plate was more narrow and it had more plastic parts...even though it actually had "singer" on the plastic housing (the first one we recieved didn't have any thing on the housing). SO, I began checking my order history and found that the first unit (the better one) shipped from "World Weidner" and the second one (the lesser one) shipped from "Metropalitans Warehouse". I also found that when placing the item in my shopping cart, I could have selected either vendor, I just simply didn't pay it any attention and went with the default vendor at the time. In all fairness, both units fit and work fine. But they are obviously different and one looks like it will last longer and hold up to heavier use. The part numbers on both units are exactly the same, so it could just be that the two vendors have units from different production runs. Just something to consider.

BTW this unit also fits a Singer model 5511, that isn't listed in the models on the amazon site.

After reading scads of books on quilting and machine quilting, I broke down and bought a walking foot for my very inexpensive Singer Simple machine. This food is not made by Singer, but is high quality none the less. It made machine quilting so much easier than I ever thought possible. The material, including the batting, cruised under the foot like a dream. I have left it on the machine for small sewing projects as well and have found it makes thicker material easier to sew. I highly recommend this item for every machine!

I bought this for my older Singer sewing machine, model 1120, which is about 10 years old and one of the entry-level machines that were available at my local discount store, i.e. not a fancy or complicated machine. I originally bought this foot to practice straight-line quilting, but I have yet to have time to use it for that. However, I have used it to hem fleece pants and it worked so much better than the basic presser foot--it prevented the frustrating gathering and puckering that I had experienced in the past. My walking foot did come with a little sheet of instructions that showed how to install it, which was still a little tricky, but once you figure it out, you'll be able to install and remove it easily. The only problem I had, although this has more to do with my machine than the walking foot, was that my pressure foot lever only has one position--it does not raise up very high off the feeder dogs. The walking foot seems to sit a bit lower--leaving less clearance between the foot and the feeder dogs--than the presser foot, so I really had to flatten and sort of angle-in/wedge the fleece to get it under the walking foot, however, once the fabric was in place, the walking foot worked really, really well. I was hemming fleece pajama bottoms that were pretty thick (probably close to the thickness of 2 layers of cotton and quilting batting) and the hems came out straight without any puckering. If your machine has a multi-level presser foot, you should have plenty of clearance for your fabric with this foot. Very happy with the added capabilities this gives my old machine.

This walking foot was exactly what I was looking for to fit my Singer Stylist 7258. As mentioned in previous reviews, the foot does not come with instructions on how to attach. I was quickly able to figure it out on my own. I've only been using the foot for 3 weeks, but has held up well, so far.

These markers are very nice and blend pretty decently but if you are doing large drawings and want to color them in, there will be streaks. But on smaller pictures there are no streaks. I also like the tips of the markers, it does feel kind of like painting.

First of all, this pack comes with 9 facial colors ranging from a pale yellow to black. It also comes with 1 BlendiePen. The marker has two points, a medium brush head and a "fine" tip (I used quotations because I'm still new at this and I may be proven wrong in the future).

I used these markers almost as soon as I got them. I didn't use them on my good finished sketches, but instead scribled a quick face to try the new pens out. I'm glad I did. I inked in the boarder lines on one side and was happy to see it not only dry quickly but not bleed through my paper. I then proceeded to color the rest of the drawing while checking intermediatly for bleeding, drying rate, etc. I proceeded to do this until it was finished. I wasn't exactly thrilled with the results (Although, as I've mentioned, I am new at this and my technique may be off.) The ink never did bleed through my paper and all the ink dried fast...a little to fast for me. I ended up with a more than streaky result. It reminded me of when I would use the Crayola Washables. I tried blending the colors to counter this but didn't get very far.

I scribled another face and inked it with a different set. This time I only used it for detail work and it worked great! Of course detail work is short fast strokes but in this case the BlendiePen really shined.

I don't know if I'll be ordering again, or anytime soon at least. This company has many other sets available but after this expirience I will have more caution. Words of wisdom: Everybody has a place. Even a marker whose purpose was not found the first time. :)

Great deal on glitter glue pens! Kids loved all the colors and had a great time using them for the arts and crafts project at the preschool. I will warn that there is a hidden blue "stopper" inside the pen so you have to remove the cap and twist off the top to get to it. (Also, helpful side note, the top twists off the opposite way you would think it does). If you plan on using these for a craft project, my advice is to pull off all blue stoppers ahead of time...I did not realize they were even there so I ended up spending quite a bit of time rapidly pulling them all out as we were trying to do the craft.

Otherwise, great product! Very cute!

Too many problems with this machine and the various tips. First, the instructions that come with the machine are horrible. The instructions with the machine for the 1" tip tell you to cut your strip 1-7/8" yet the Simplicity YouTube video states you cut your strip 2" and also says you have to spray starch all the bias seams so that they will feed properly. Gee, like I really want to have to starch every seam in my bias tape?

As another reviewer stated, the tips are too far away from the iron and unfold before getting to the iron. I agree! I haven't tried to hold the tip up closer to the iron, so perhaps that will work, that is assuming you have starched all the seams so they will feed properly.

I got a "deal" on a set of the extra tips, but am really disappointed. ZERO instructions came with these. Have spent way too much time cutting bias tape at "guessed" widths for the tips as they come with NO suggested widths to cut the bias tape. Doubling the size of the tip would make sense, but ONLY if you intuited that from having gone searching for the Simplicity video that says to cut your strip 2" for the 1" tip! The instructions coming WITH the machine and 1" tip say to cut your strip 1-7/8". UGH!

I also found the strips getting hung up at the end of the iron under the cover if the least little bit of a seam hung out or an edge was slightly irregular.

Next, you have 5" to 6" of bias tape that isn't ironed since that's the amount you have to first pull through before attaching the iron cover and turning on the machine that is IF you follow the machine instructions (written or Simplcity's YouTube video). Several other video reviewers have the machine turned on before they attach the tip....a really good way to get burned in my opinion.

In all, I can't say I can find a reason to use this machine. I'm sticking to my bias bars Dritz Quilting Bias Press Bars Set Of Five, and the Clover fusible bias tape makers: Clover Fusible Bias 1/4-Inch Tape Maker, 1 EA

I am terribly disappointed with this machine and plan to return it. I've only 30-60% success rate in making a perfectly folded bias tape. For flannel, which is thicker than calico cotton, it's a bit better. I only have to manually re-iron 1/3 of the tape. Unfortunately, it didn't seem to work well for calico cotton. I have to manually re-flatten >50% of the tape, feed it through the machine again, and even then, have to manually fix, with the iron, another 1/3 of that tape. What's the point of a machine like this if there is so much manual work involved?

Read somewhere that people think the instructions are too sparse -totally agree. There's no troubleshooting guide, no tips on materials, feeding pattern, width of ribbon. The instruction assumes only the best case.

Not at all worth the money paid, and definitely cost me quite a lot of time to fix its failures manually. Machines are supposed to make life easier... a

I got these before even having the embossing machine. I used my rolling pin to emboss my papers and it worked just fine. Rolling them will suffice for a few but if you are making a lot of invitations I would not suggest rolling them all. (My embossing machine will be here tomorrow.) I LOVE these!

Good professional art markers, equal to the quality of the Copix and the Tria nib system I feel is better than the Copix as it includes a third, super-fine, nib. This nib is nearly the width of a technical pen's line and is awesome for drawing/coloring very small or detailed areas.

One problem, however: the tins these sets come in while tasteful (and probably useful for students to tote the markers to class) are a nightmare in a studio. They are not designed to stack atop each other and take up a lot of room when open. Copix can get 36 markers into a bin that takes up less than the footprint of these silly black tins holding only 12 markers. So unless you want tins all over the place, buying several of these sets could be unwise. Oh: and if you buy the large 72-marker set, does it come in some sort of well-designed bin? No. It comes in several of these awful tins, apparently.

Like all Iwata brushes the HP-C+ is a very well made brush and atomizes paint very well just like it's predecessor the HP-C, but it's much easier to clean due to the newer tapered cup design. The trigger seems a bit taller for better control and is tilted slightly forward than the HP-C. The addition of a preset handle gives the HP-C+ an advantage over the HP-C and has better ergonomics. You can also use anything from solvent based paint to water based paint because of the teflon needle packing. It's a good all around gun well balanced and can spray broad patterns to moderate detail. You can remove the needle cap to spray finer lines and allow you to get closer to your subject. If you want even finer detail you should consider the HP-B+ or convert the HP-C+ to a 0.20mm gun.

I purchased this with some apprehension, as any painter knows there is a large range of quality in any painting supplies, from extremely poor to excellent. I am now happy to say it is a great buy. It is not what you would consider to be premium quality, but certainly not poor quality either. It terms of value for the price, I was pleasantly surprised. More than reasonable cost for everything that is included. Everything I needed is included, instructions are easy to follow are detailed, and final painting is lovely. The project is suitable for any painting skill level. I did use different brushes than the ones provided, but this is a simply because of personal preference, not any problem with the brushes that are included.

I bought there kinds of oil pastel from Amazon to compare them. The other two were Pentel Arts Oil Pastels, 50 Color Set (PHN-50) and Loew-Cornell Oil Pastels, 60-Pack. The other two sets have about half the stick volume per stick as these and do not have a uniform a texture. These are the best buy of the three. I usually use a more expensive brand from Jerry's Art but because these are harder they sometimes come in handy.

This is a winner. I bought the Mundial set first. The 8" Mundial scissors were much better than stainless steel to me. The small scissors didn't cut "worth a flip."
