I saw a video online in which the crafter was using these pens to make a pirate necklace. She was using the markers to color on a metal disk. I needed something that would allow me to color on metal, so I did some research and found out who made the markers that she was using. I discovered that they were Permapaque markers, so I sought to find some. I found them to Amazon and ordered them. They were just what I needed. They dry quickly and can be used to add additional coats if so desired. One can also layer various colors with these markers. I needed them for coloring metal, but they can also be used to mark on paper, glass, ceramic, etc. By the way, my project turned out great, and I'm not all that talented. I highly recommend these markers.

There was no protective sleeve over the hairs of this brush, so it arrived with the hairs permanently bent. You can return it to Amazon for a replacement, but how do you know they won't just improperly pack it again. Plus it is a hassle to have to return something that should have been packed right in the first place. When you pay over 20 dollars for a brush you just expect it to be packed properly. Nothing against Da Vinci brushes just the handling of this order.

I could hardly wait to try out this new sable size 6 watercolor brush. My older brushes had just about gone their limit. I really appreciate being able to order from Amazon.com as it is so much handier for me to order online than it is to challenge the traffic going into the city. The fact that Amazon.com promptly handles my orders and delivers them right to my door is a real asset. I can depend upon Amazon so no wonder they are expanding;they do a great job. If you make very many Wedding greeting cards, this is a nice set of embossing folders to have in your Cuttlebug toolbox. The cards that are decorated with these embossed images seem to sell rather well, too.

These folders are rather small, so I center the embossed image on an A2 (4.25"x5.5") greeting card, and add text plus decorative items such as rhinestones and/or ribbon.

I LOVE cuttlebug embosing folders!! They always make clean crisp impressions and are so simple to use. I have many other brands and while they have nice designs, none of them are even close to Cuttlebug when it comes to consistant results. I'm hooked!

These markers are very nice and blend pretty decently but if you are doing large drawings and want to color them in, there will be streaks. But on smaller pictures there are no streaks. I also like the tips of the markers, it does feel kind of like painting.

First of all, this pack comes with 9 facial colors ranging from a pale yellow to black. It also comes with 1 BlendiePen. The marker has two points, a medium brush head and a "fine" tip (I used quotations because I'm still new at this and I may be proven wrong in the future).

I used these markers almost as soon as I got them. I didn't use them on my good finished sketches, but instead scribled a quick face to try the new pens out. I'm glad I did. I inked in the boarder lines on one side and was happy to see it not only dry quickly but not bleed through my paper. I then proceeded to color the rest of the drawing while checking intermediatly for bleeding, drying rate, etc. I proceeded to do this until it was finished. I wasn't exactly thrilled with the results (Although, as I've mentioned, I am new at this and my technique may be off.) The ink never did bleed through my paper and all the ink dried fast...a little to fast for me. I ended up with a more than streaky result. It reminded me of when I would use the Crayola Washables. I tried blending the colors to counter this but didn't get very far.

I scribled another face and inked it with a different set. This time I only used it for detail work and it worked great! Of course detail work is short fast strokes but in this case the BlendiePen really shined.

I don't know if I'll be ordering again, or anytime soon at least. This company has many other sets available but after this expirience I will have more caution. Words of wisdom: Everybody has a place. Even a marker whose purpose was not found the first time. :)

Have used this product for years on various projects and have never been disappointed. They go on easily and look great. You can apply as much or little as you want. A little goes a very long way. One tube will last forever. This set of 12 colors is great. The black works really well on wrought iron. The various gold shades are very versatile. The only color I'm not crazy about is "patina". It's way too blue in my opinion. It doesn't at all like natural patina to me. There are other manufacturers that make a more convincing "patina" color. Besides that I can recommend this product highly enough.

I bought this product because I was doing a quick, down-and-dirty, budget upgrade of my guest bathroom, which had been previously trimmed entirely with poorly-aging brass fixtures. I didn't want to pay to replace every fixture in the room, so I decided to try the pewter color on my faucet, drain, door hinges, light and electrical plate, light fixture, mirror frame, towel racks, wall hooks, cabinet knobs and toilet paper holder. When you consider that this is just a tiny little tube of liquid wax, the results are pretty amazing.

It's fairly easy to use, although you do need to practice a little bit to find a technique that works for you. It's amazing that such a tiny amount of it, smeared so thin, will cover so completely... especially when you consider I was covering a brass finish with a silver toned one. It does dry fast, so you have to work pretty quickly in one small area at a time.

After a few weeks of daily use, the finish held up amazingly well under the circumstances. The light fixture, door hinges, and medicine cabinet frame are great, and the towel bars are pretty good. The finish is starting to wear off the paper towel spool and cabinet knobs which isn't surprising, considering they get the most wear and tear. I never expected the faucet and drain to hold up at all even though I added a top coat of polyurethane. I assumed that bathroom cleaners would immediately ruin the finish. After a few weeks, they look ok. There's a bit of water spotting, and I imagine the finish won't last indefinitely. But it still looks a lot better than the old, tarnished brass one. Bottom line, a little effort and a six dollar tube of this stuff made a huge difference in my bathroom and bought me a little time before I have to do a more expensive update. And even then, I might be able to get away with just replacing the faucet, knobs, and TP holder.

This product is a great choice for refinishing anything that doesn't get a lot of handling or friction against the finish part hinges, chandeliers/light fixtures, glazed ceramics, etc. Anything that gets handled a lot should probably get a polyurethane coat afterwards.

I'm a pen fanatic. This pens are a nice set because you get a variety of thickness in pen lines. The ink runs smooth and dries quickly. The tops of the pens have the thickness written on it so it is easy to grab what you need quickly. Great for artwork, framing, doodling, and journaling.

I love pens such as these for drawing and writing. I often will use a pen before or after I do a watercolor to add emphasis or a bit of abstraction to my composition. And I like to sketch when I travel.

These pens have a selection of point diameters from fine to thick ( from .01, .03, .05 up to .08 ) and the ink IS WATERPROOF, meaning I can use a technique where I first do a very impressionistic or free-flowing sketch, even a contour drawing, then dash in the watercolor. This is a very useful technique for making greeting cards. (A contour drawing is when you put your pen down, look at the object you are drawing and follow the outlines of the object, never lifting your pen. If you want to see how to use this in your artwork, go look at Charles Reid's watercolor work. His graphite underdrawings are done with this contour method and it's a great exercise, if you've never done it. Go try.)

This set has all kinds of uses, and I just love it.

The listing and packaging indicate that you're going to get at least one pen in each size, but I received one 01, one 08, and three 03 pens. They're pretty good so far, make very crisp lines. The nibs are a bit sturdier than those on Sakura Pigmas, so although I haven't used them much so far I feel like I will get a lot more use out of them.

Spellbinders' 2012 releases started this annoying feature of no longer releasing the paper from the die unless you first placed a piece of wax or freezer paper on top of the die and then the card stock. Also, the color of the dies changed from a dull bronze to a bright copper. And the dies are now made in China.

Yes, the die cut is pretty, but getting the card stock out of the die is a whole other story. I work with intricate dies all the time, most of them much, much more intricate than the rather bold designs of Spellbinders, and I have yet to encounter such a nuisance issue with dies that are manufactured in America.

If you're only running the die once you may not mind so much having to sit there and poking every hole out to insure a clean cut next time you use the die again. But if you want to run it several times for more than just one card, this sitting over a trash can and poking out the holes even after using wax paper will make you swear under your breath. Made in China and quality going downhill seem synonymous.

As for me, until Spellbinders solves this issue, I think I'll stick with companies well known for their intricate and high quality dies such as Cheery Lynn, Memory Box and Poppy Stamps, Marianne, and even Die-Versions. For the price Spellbinders wants I expect more than what I am getting.

Like all detailed thin metal dies, put a layer of wax paper next to die, then your paper,

will release like a charm. The other trick is to layer scotch tape (on the back) on areas

don't cut as well and just leave it on, sort of a spot shim. I find that easier than rotating the die

etc...

I bought these for my wedding, they will work great, however once you see how easy they are to make you wonder if the cost was worth it when you include shipping. That being said, if you are not crafty or are slammed for time these work great and are easy to assemble. Good: Decent tool steel. Effortlessly marks brass and aluminum keys. Haven't tried steel yet, but I'm confident they'll work well.

Bad: A couple of small rust spots; don't affect usage, but do make me wonder whether a seldom-used tool set is going to rust in the box.

Ugly: The wooden box is cute, but very flimsy the metal latch broke the first time I opened it and does not secure the punches at all. Once you've reorganized the set they'll all be in the bottom of the box when you receive it don't even think about turning the box upside down. I'd much rather have had a blow-molded case.

Five stars, minus one for the low-quality box.
