I'm a pen fanatic. This pens are a nice set because you get a variety of thickness in pen lines. The ink runs smooth and dries quickly. The tops of the pens have the thickness written on it so it is easy to grab what you need quickly. Great for artwork, framing, doodling, and journaling.

I love pens such as these for drawing and writing. I often will use a pen before or after I do a watercolor to add emphasis or a bit of abstraction to my composition. And I like to sketch when I travel.

These pens have a selection of point diameters from fine to thick ( from .01, .03, .05 up to .08 ) and the ink IS WATERPROOF, meaning I can use a technique where I first do a very impressionistic or free-flowing sketch, even a contour drawing, then dash in the watercolor. This is a very useful technique for making greeting cards. (A contour drawing is when you put your pen down, look at the object you are drawing and follow the outlines of the object, never lifting your pen. If you want to see how to use this in your artwork, go look at Charles Reid's watercolor work. His graphite underdrawings are done with this contour method and it's a great exercise, if you've never done it. Go try.)

This set has all kinds of uses, and I just love it.

The listing and packaging indicate that you're going to get at least one pen in each size, but I received one 01, one 08, and three 03 pens. They're pretty good so far, make very crisp lines. The nibs are a bit sturdier than those on Sakura Pigmas, so although I haven't used them much so far I feel like I will get a lot more use out of them.

These pens come in various sizes, which is great because sometimes I need a bolder look. never had any skipping.

I absolutely loved these pens they are by far the best Scrap booking pens I have ever had. This product is amazing. I especially like the different pen size tips!
