This is the greatest thing I have ever bought. I am a college student and therefore attend themed parties twice a weekend and this has changed my life. I am now consistently the coolest person at every party and people think I am an artist. I get laid a lot more frequently.

If you use an acrylic brush it goes on really smoothly and it dries weightlessly. However, the blue stains my face. I like the stains because they feel like war scars, but they could be really annoying.

I'm usually very fond of the Die Cuts with a View products, but this 12"x12" paper stack was a bit disappointing. Most of the sheets are close-up photographs of various textiles, with the emphasis on (you guessed it) lace and linen. The predominant colors are light tans, off-whites, and pale pinks--colors you might find in your great grandmother's linen cupboard.

These sheets would make a nice background for a wedding scrapbook, but aren't really suitable for card-making (which is why I originally purchased them). Some of the sheets are embellished with a bit of glitter (the kind that doesn't rub off) or embossed lines of 'stitching.'

Even with shipping and handling, I got this for about $13. The set looks like it is worth a lot more than the price I paid. I tried to search for this item sold by other dealers. This price seems to be the best. The case and the items in it are very small as other people indicated. It is about the size of a small hand spread out wide. It has nice quality looking items inside. I didn't get the impression that this was cheaply made. The stone, ink, and bowl were actually quite beautiful. If I had a need for this again, I would surely buy it again. This vendor seems to have some good deals.

I purchased an item from Asian Home and it arrived damaged. I received their permisson to return the item, which I did. The postage to return this damaged item was $13.53! I felt that since the company sent me a damaged item, I should not have to pay the postage to return it. By email, the company agreed to return my postage, but they did not. I have waited 2 months. Beware!! This company sends out damage products and does not keep their word.

I got these before even having the embossing machine. I used my rolling pin to emboss my papers and it worked just fine. Rolling them will suffice for a few but if you are making a lot of invitations I would not suggest rolling them all. (My embossing machine will be here tomorrow.) I LOVE these!

Bamboo Crochet Hooks 10 sizes F-N Reviews

These are a good basic crochet hook, with a decently shaped end that catches the yarn satisfactorily, although I had some trouble with the yarn splitting as I finished stitches. (To be fair, the yarn I'm working with right now splits easily.) I received 10 hooks (not 5 like another reviewer) and like the feel of the bamboo. However, when I first tried them the surface was a little tacky (sticky?) and the yarn didn't slide as smoothly as I'd like. We put a light coat of urethane on them (have a spray gun for some construction we're doing out back) and that helped the situation. I still prefer my Susan Bates metal hooks, as they slide easily, catch the yarn firmly, and rarely split. If you like crocheting at a nice sedate pace, and/or prefer the feel of bamboo to the feel of metal, these would do just fine.

This is a great set of crochet hooks for the price. They are quite comfortable to hold, are a good weight, and seem to be well constructed.

However, purchasers should be aware that the product description is not accurate. You only receive 5 hooks, ranging in sizes 5.5mm 9mm (US I-M). The picture does show the five hooks you get, but the description indicates that you will get "12 PCs bamboo crochet hooks 2.75mm-10.0 mm". Despite this, I still feel that these hooks are worth the price. A minor annoyance is that the US sizes are NOT laser printed with the metric size, but that can be easily remedied by writing it on each hook with a permanent marker for easy reference.

Even with these two complaints, I think the product itself still deserves a four-star rating.

Metal and plastic crochet hooks can't compare to the feel of bamboo crochet hooks. These are awesome. I've been looking for bamboo hooks for a long time and was happy to find them here. I hope Oriental Touch will at some time carry other sizes of bamboo hooks. I'd definitely purchase more.

I'm new at crocheting. The only other hook I tried before was a Boye brand one then I bought this set. When using the Boye one I keep accidently catching the loops I'm trying to go through, splitting the yarn etc. Using these hooks which are shaped a little differently that never happens so I like these better.

I ordered (4) sets of six, totaling 24 containers. I received two sets of 12. These are just the perfect size containers for (800) 6MM sequins or (1000) 5MM sequins. Seed beads would be great in them too as the inside bottoms are slightly rounded, allowing the ability to move a bead or sequin up the side of the container. The containers arrived in a timely manner and I really like the fact I can see into them from all sides, including the clear, screw-on top. These are a good value and I intend to purchase many more. As an added bonus, the screw-on lids do not come loose.

I admit that I didn't use these jars for their intended purpose. I actually filled them with a sugar scrub and gave it away for my wedding in a gift bag. They do allow a bit of oil to leak from some of them, but considering they make no claim against leakage I was not surprised. Great price, just big enough to fit the scrub and you can write right on them with a Sharpie. Great buy!

All I received was the machine and it didn't even match. The left half had the blue swatch across it but the right side did 't so it was a put together machine. This machine is a dream! My aunt has one and I fell in love, so she surprised me with one of my own! Before I just had a basic sewing machinenothing fancy at all. But this seriously sews like a dream! I am a quilter so all the decorative stitches are awesome! Has the functions to embroider names and such. The letters are small, but perfect for putting labels in the bottom corner of the quilt. The automatic thread cutter is SO handy! Some of the stitches are so cute! This paint kit would be excellent for someone who is just learning to paint. It has a slew of different media and brushes. I guess I don't need to list it all. I also like that the easel is built in. I did buy new brushes. The ones that come with the set are crappy. I found that the bristles on all of them are too long and too difficult to control if you're trying to make narrow, short lines.

Just received this item and was very excited about it. When I took it out of the package, the bottom of the wooden box fell off and the 2 drawer fronts! Very shoddy construction. Rubber foot was missing off bottom of the box. Pastels were floating around inside. Not sure if the art supplies are worth anything, I couldn't get past how awful the box was. The easel did not have the "lip" to hold a canvas as pictured and is not sturdy. So disappointed....

This set is nice but in my opinion not worth the price, the paints are good but the box is pretty flimsy and the brushes are not very good. when i got it one of the oil paints had been punctured and paint got on the inside of the box and on some of the other paints and the pallet, it sounds like a lot but it wasn't really THAT much paint, just enough to be annoying and dissapointing, especially because the set was a christmas gift for my wife. I must say though that besides all that she does have a lot of fun with this and has painted many cute pictures to hang in our new babies room. I would recomend looking for a different paint set if i were you, or at least if you could find this one for a much lower price.

This product was purchased for a 10 yr old for her birthday. She wanted to do real art, but had so far shown very little aptitude and almost no ability to stay on task or follow directions. what i liked about this product is that there are clear step-by-step instructions showing the user how to do the basics with pastels, including example pictures that teach the different ways an inexperienced user can make use of the nature of pastels. She (with some urging) did follow the directions, and made some beautiful pieces. I feel this product would be excellent for any person wishing to learn how to use pastels with no previous experience. I have no experience whatsoever with them or with any other art supplies, therefore could not help her.

I would not recommend this product for any child under the age of 10, and in some cases not for under the age of 13 or so. My stepdaughter tends to be irresponsible for her age, and she has stained clothes and wasted a good amount of the pastels by using them inappropriately. durability is not really applicable to this product pastels are not durable per se.

I want to start by saying they're not BAD paints by any means! They look great mixed with Golden Soft Gel (Gloss) but they just aren't professional grade, which is what the line is claiming to be (based on the price tag). The paints look good, but "high pigment load" is going overboard. Moderate, yes. I just don't feel these are as vibrant as other professional paints. They're a nice "in-between" student and professional grade, just not for the price they want.

I'd shopped in my local art store for these paints and the prices were really high. My husband doesn't paint a lot but his acrylics were really, really old and I wanted a new set. These are nice big tubes and should last a while. They come in a cardboard box so if you want a nice artist storage box you'll need that separately. The same paints are much more expensive locally and these are not a Chinese knockoff.
