I purchased this airbrush after experimenting with a $20.00 airbrush from Harbor Freight. Let me start by saying what a big difference! So easy to use. The paint sprays great and my hand doesnt get tired. The most amazing part to me is Badger's customer service. I called them because there was a picture of a finger grip on the box which wasnt included. I called and spoke to a very nice lady on the phone who told me that the customer service person who could best help me was at lunch, but she would have him give me a call when he returned in about 15 minutes. As she finished telling me this,I heard a voice in the background say one moment I will help him. A gentleman picked up the phone and introduces himself as Ken Badger the owner of the company. Not only was he more than happy to address my issue, but he made sure that he answered any questions I had about airbrushing! I can tell you that Badger now has a customer for life. It is so rare to even find a company where a human being picks-up the phone let alone one where the owner of the company will help a customer with a simple customer service question.

Got this model 175(Crescendo) to replace my older 150(Professional), that I'd still be using had it not "disappeared". Just as versatile and easy to work withhave found that the bigger body is a better fit and I don't get the cramping I got when holding onto the smaller body of the 150 for awhile. A little heavier, but not really a noticeable issue to me. I've found through experience siphon feed works better for me than gravity feed if you tilt or move your airbrush around a little too much, and want a little ease in changing colors, plus you can see what you're doing. Just a little bigger than the 150.

What I like best is that this brush is pretty easy to take apart, clean and put back together. I am very happy with my purchase. I've also learned that it takes a lot of practice to learn how to use the brush. But, with some practice I was able to make my daughter a t-shirt for Christmas.

I use this airbrush for teaching high school students.

First I teach them to take it apart and put it back together ...over and over...until they can do it quickly.

THEN...after every painting session they take it apartrinse it off --let the parts dry -and put it back together the next day.

With this teaching process, I have not had the problem of paint drying inside the gun and ruining the workings of the airbrush.

High school kids are not so good at cleaning the brushes...so this has helped me keep the airguns from being destroyed.(The auto collision teacher told me he loses many brushes because his students don't clean them properly and the paint dries inside the brush...thus making it nearly impossible to repair or use,however, he uses different type paint than I do.)

This airbrush works well. If an airbrush isn't kept clean, that is when problems start.

I explain the "take it apart---after every session---let it dry after cleaning and rinsing--and put it back together at the beginnng of the next painting session."

I have learned this clean-up technique after many years of airbrush painting and teaching airbrush.

I do not think that blowing cleaner through the brush is enough. The needle can still have paint on it. I have learned all of this the hard way.

Many students come to me...MANY>>> with ruined airbrushes because they allowed the paint to dry inside the brush without cleaning!They didn't realize what could happen...so I wrote this review for them.

This tool is too expensive to not clean and let be destroyed by a few seconds of laziness. Follow thruclean it and it will last for a long time.

It is easy to use---it helps if you have an airbrush artist show you how to take care of the brush and how to control and utilize it.

That would make your frustration level, as a new airbrush artist,so much easier to bear. As someone that has made many mistakes with airbrushes in the past, I know a little instruction goes a long long way.

These reminded me of oil pastels (which I love...on paper or canvas) in that they are messy to work with. They are like soft crayons and they smear a lot. I found them difficult to work with, but that's probably my fault. They weren't adequate for what I needed them (fabric markers worked much better, if you need detail). I still liked the intense color of these better, though, since the markers tend to look washed out. These are bright and stay that way after washing. They seem like they can be fun and I'll probably give them another shot when I'm feeling creative.

I purchased the Pentel Arts Fabric Fun Pastel Dye Sticks as part of a Christmas gift for my 9 year old daughter. She has gotten quite a bit of use out of them so far and so has her sister. They go on the fabric very easily. The color is very rich and stays put. I would definitely get these over fabric markers and unless you want the texture that fabric paint gives, I'd choose these over the paint too. If you like oil pastels, that is pretty much what these are except for fabric. I've washed the shirts my daughter "designed" several times now and the color hasn't faded yet. These offer a lot of creative fun for a small price.

So you open the pack of Dye Sticks and see what looks like a set of Crayons, but... Crayons are for kids! These Dye sticks are serious business. Not that a child couldn't use these, but they might not grasp the blending and smudging of colors.

Speaking of smudging, I found (after using a whole set) that if you roughly color in the area you want, say red. Then I use a little piece of fabric to smudge the red all over the area. Smudging not only saves dye sticks, it gives you a smoother more consistent color. Since the colors are smudg-able, be careful not to drag your hand through different colors or get carried away smudging and blend colors you wanted separate.

These little sticks are wonderful. I've used them for designing shirts and ties and am quite pleased.

I purchased several sets of these to use with a Pioneer Club project with 5th and 6th graders. The colors are vibrant, the instructions are easy to follow and the finished product turned out better than we'd hoped for. I sent an additonal set to my daughter to use with my 5 and 2 and a half year old grandsons. They were also very pleased with the results. These work very well to do customized pillow cases, t-shirts and table cloths; and would also be handy for jazzing up faded clothes and hand-me-downs.

I am a professional airbrush artist with 20 years experience. This is my sole source of income. The vega 2000 is my weapon of preference. This is one of the best airbrushes that I own and it is the 1st one that I used! I have 8 Vega 2000s and they are the most durable of all my airbrushes. I use them for textiles, body painting, murals, and fine art. The main things I love about them are parts price and the easiness of cleaning and spray pattern. They have a large paint tips and light simple construction with limited parts. They don't waste material or add weight to the design on unneeded extras. The big plus is a very consistence dynamic spray pattern that goes from fine to large with ease. Vega 2000's are worth every penny and spray anything you want throw at them. They are a great airbrush to learn with and should be a staple for murals, t-shirts, and body painting!

There's not much you can say about pins... but these are the best aluminum head pins we've found. We use these pins every day in our sewing shop. They're pounded into a wood table to hold patterns in place, etc. We've tried other brands that just don't hold up as well. I did not receive 100, but 98 spikes and a random cross about 1 inch big was thrown in. They're not very good quality but that's because they're acrylic and not real metal. I was a little disappointed because the estimated shipping was anywhere from 3-5 weeks from the date I ordered them, and I was never able to track them. BUT they came earlier than expected, in about 3 weeks so that was a plus. Overall, I'm satisfied but I think they should be a little cheaper because of the low quality, long shipping time, and there was not 100 as expected.

I love these DPNs. They are smooth and easy to use. I just wish the labels were a little easier to see. I think that this set comes with way too many sizes, but it's nice to have them. :) I like the DPNs better than the ThinkBamboo circular needles, because I think the circular connector isn't ideally design. (i.e. snags)

Got these recently and I love them so far! Much warmer, and MUCH lighter than the similar metal hooks that I've been using for years. I wish I had bought these sooner. They are really smooth, but might occasionally have a small spot that is rough, but so far, after using 3 different sizes, no catches or snags. Rubbing wax paper will smooth them out if they start to get rough. None of them were warped, which surprised me.

One thing though, keep an eye on them, or hide them from the pets as they have a familiar 'wooden stick' odor, and the dog (our adult anyway) had an inclination to steal them off my workspace and start chewing them. Luckily I caught her soon enough that she didn't do any damage. (PHEW!) I have these hooks, the 12.5" knitting needles, and the crochet hooks all in carbonized finish.

I would absolutely buy from this seller again, the product came from upper-mid-west to New England in less than a week with super saver shipping, and they were packed fairly well.

Looking at purchasing the shorter lengths at some point soon as well.

For a new knitter, this was a good value. I received 15 sets of needles that otherwise would have cost approximately $60, if I had bought them individually and in metal. However, the workmanship leaves a lot to be desired. The first set I used had a fracture that kept catching the yarn, as well as a bump of finish that my finger caught on. 'All points are not created equal', some of the tips are more blunt than others and I found that to be frustrating. Additionally, I've found I prefer metal needles over (lightly finished) wood or plastic.

I have not used these yet, but am already bummed by two things. The Magi don't have a star with them, so I have to draw that in freehand or purchase yet another stamp. I could see that before I ordered, but didn't realize how much it would bother me. Alsothese are not clear stamps. When I saw "cling"I thought that meant clear. Nope. These are rubber stamps, the old-fashioned opaque red, without a wood block. Maybe they are cling in that I will be able to stick them on a clear blockI don't know yet. I paint plein air and very impressionistic in style. and the brushes I use make very little difference to me. I use a large brush for most of the painting and switch to smaller flat brush at the end to make adjustments. I typically lay paint heavily on the canvas and never needing anything more than any stiff brush. I do not wash brushes which makes them even more stiff. Eventually flat brushes become filberts and then a ball at the end of the ferrule and I throw them out. These brushes are fine.
