The Loew Cornell brush set are ideal for use in my "Subtractive Color Painting" presentations.
The technique involves applying acrylics by scrubbing color and dry brush to create images.
These brushes can take the abuse of being used by many different students in countless painting sessions.
Occasionally the brush will separate from the handle, but it can easily be re-attached.

I paint plein air and very impressionistic in style. and the brushes I use make very little difference to me. I use a large brush for most of the painting and switch to smaller flat brush at the end to make adjustments. I typically lay paint heavily on the canvas and never needing anything more than any stiff brush. I do not wash brushes which makes them even more stiff. Eventually flat brushes become filberts and then a ball at the end of the ferrule and I throw them out. These brushes are fine.

Hair falls out, way to long, leaves brush marks. used one brush then threw the rest out, not worth the money at all or time.

I wanted to use these on a little project and was happy to get so many brishes for the price. However everytime I used the larger brushes the bristles did not stop falling out and in one case ruined what I was doing. So that was very frustrating but over all they are decent.
