I bought this booth based on a youtube video I saw touting it; and the price seemed right at the time. I received it neatly double packed and in good shape. One thing everyone needs to know at the outset; it is made in China. The advertised dimensional sizes are correct and it is easy to put together, despite the awkward direct-from-Mandarin instruction sheet which is laughable at best. This was made presumptively for the American market, so they could have spent a little more effort on a more meaningful instruction sheet. The video is British, so the British/European version is wired for those countries' voltages. My copy is wired for 120 volts for compatability purposes.

It comes with two interior filters. Use one or the other, not both. With both, there is not enought air flow to warrant buying this unit. And therein lies the biggest problem with this airbrush booth. It is grossly underpowered to move air out the back end of the booth. Using only one filter, a piece of tissue paper should be drawn to the filter. Not so! The attached spec sheet indicates the fan wattage is only 25W. The rated airflow is 3 cubic meters/minute. Compare that with the air flow rates of other units costing at least twice what this one did.

The purpose of an airbrush spray booth is to move fumes and particulates out of the room. This unit barely does this and needs a fan powered to move some air! Also note that this unit should only be used for water-based paints [acrylics] Don't try to use this for any solvent based paints. There is no indication if the fan is spark-proof or not.

Conclusion: This is an underpowered unit I wouldn't buy again. It does have an imaginative design and is compact with its fold-up design. I'll keep it only to tinker with and perhaps try to drop a bigger fan in it to make it truly useful as a spray booth. The wattage, cubic feet per minute rating are the basics for any studious purchase of an airbrush booth. You will spend more money at the outset, but buy a unit from Testors or MicroMark for health safety and fume/particulate control. BH

This unit is design for airbrushing model kits. It works well to suck out the paint particles and fumes when you spray in short bursts. Could use a stronger fan though.

The unit is very compact when stored which is a plus for me (while the duct is fully collapsible, it still occupies some room with a volume comparable with the unit itself so double the dimensions in heigh and depth of the unit to calculate total storage volume to be used) . Very easy to set up, I do cover the translucent plastic with either paper or transparent film to avoid paint on it. The cable is fully stored inside the receptacle provided for such purpose (the little black door on the right side in the picture) and when extended has a reasonable length.

The duct is easy to set up. The air-flow is probably its weakest feature. It was fine for me for small airbrush work, with the paint flow pointing somewhat the filter. I use it mainly for acrylics, and sometimes (quite a few) with enamels with no issues (I must add that I wear a breathing mask when using enamels). The included turn table is fine for rotating kits when airbrushing and keep the paint flow facing the filter.

Overall is a good unit for the hobbyist or someone starting with airbrushing for the price you pay. Do not expect an spectacular caudal of air being moved by the unit, but seems ok for small, plastic kit airbrushing, applications. I paid well less than 100 USD for mine, and wouldn't go much higher.

4 minutes set up time (including covering the translucent plastic with film)

Compact for storage

Low cost (related to the use I am giving it...)

CONS:

Airflow is somewhat low, not for heavy or mid duty applications.
