I bought these for my husband, the graphic designer and illustrator. He loves them. They are expensive, but you can buy refills and replacement nibs when the originals wear out, so it does make up some of the cost over prizmacolor markers that I got him last year. The colors are good and there is alot of variety in this set. I would recomend them if you want a good set of high quality markers that will last a long time. If you just want something basic to start out and see if you like it, I would go with something cheaper or a smaller set of copic's.

Ordering was seamless and they arrived very quickly. However, upon opening the package I realized these are "original" and not "sketch" which is what I intended to purchase. Sometimes I have issues with color choices. This little set makes it easy to experiment and build up my confidence with the many different hues and intensity I can decide to use on my metal jewelry pieces. I am very happy with the results.

I purchased this airbrush after experimenting with a $20.00 airbrush from Harbor Freight. Let me start by saying what a big difference! So easy to use. The paint sprays great and my hand doesnt get tired. The most amazing part to me is Badger's customer service. I called them because there was a picture of a finger grip on the box which wasnt included. I called and spoke to a very nice lady on the phone who told me that the customer service person who could best help me was at lunch, but she would have him give me a call when he returned in about 15 minutes. As she finished telling me this,I heard a voice in the background say one moment I will help him. A gentleman picked up the phone and introduces himself as Ken Badger the owner of the company. Not only was he more than happy to address my issue, but he made sure that he answered any questions I had about airbrushing! I can tell you that Badger now has a customer for life. It is so rare to even find a company where a human being picks-up the phone let alone one where the owner of the company will help a customer with a simple customer service question.

Got this model 175(Crescendo) to replace my older 150(Professional), that I'd still be using had it not "disappeared". Just as versatile and easy to work withhave found that the bigger body is a better fit and I don't get the cramping I got when holding onto the smaller body of the 150 for awhile. A little heavier, but not really a noticeable issue to me. I've found through experience siphon feed works better for me than gravity feed if you tilt or move your airbrush around a little too much, and want a little ease in changing colors, plus you can see what you're doing. Just a little bigger than the 150.

What I like best is that this brush is pretty easy to take apart, clean and put back together. I am very happy with my purchase. I've also learned that it takes a lot of practice to learn how to use the brush. But, with some practice I was able to make my daughter a t-shirt for Christmas.

I use this airbrush for teaching high school students.

First I teach them to take it apart and put it back together ...over and over...until they can do it quickly.

THEN...after every painting session they take it apartrinse it off --let the parts dry -and put it back together the next day.

With this teaching process, I have not had the problem of paint drying inside the gun and ruining the workings of the airbrush.

High school kids are not so good at cleaning the brushes...so this has helped me keep the airguns from being destroyed.(The auto collision teacher told me he loses many brushes because his students don't clean them properly and the paint dries inside the brush...thus making it nearly impossible to repair or use,however, he uses different type paint than I do.)

This airbrush works well. If an airbrush isn't kept clean, that is when problems start.

I explain the "take it apart---after every session---let it dry after cleaning and rinsing--and put it back together at the beginnng of the next painting session."

I have learned this clean-up technique after many years of airbrush painting and teaching airbrush.

I do not think that blowing cleaner through the brush is enough. The needle can still have paint on it. I have learned all of this the hard way.

Many students come to me...MANY>>> with ruined airbrushes because they allowed the paint to dry inside the brush without cleaning!They didn't realize what could happen...so I wrote this review for them.

This tool is too expensive to not clean and let be destroyed by a few seconds of laziness. Follow thruclean it and it will last for a long time.

It is easy to use---it helps if you have an airbrush artist show you how to take care of the brush and how to control and utilize it.

That would make your frustration level, as a new airbrush artist,so much easier to bear. As someone that has made many mistakes with airbrushes in the past, I know a little instruction goes a long long way.

I purchased these for a project I really didn't want to use my more expensive watercolors on. As far as how they work/pigmentation/etc they are pretty close to right on par with the expensive brands I use. The only test remaining is how long they can retain their vibrancy as the paintings age. If they stay nice and colorful, then they'll definitely be a steal!

Edit about a year later: One thing I've noticed over time is the paint has a slight smell. It's not necessarily bad and it isn't overwhelming, but it's not a smell I normally find with tube watercolors. If you're super sensitive to paint smells, this is your warning.

These colors are not as pigment-rich as professional colors; the grade of watercolor is determined by how much expensive pigment (the chemical compounds that make the color) is blended into a carrier of glycerin or other gel-like liquids. The frustrations of watercolor are many; it's a difficult medium because it is unpredictable and you can't easily fix mistakes.

One mistake beginners almost invariably make is choosing cheap materials. It's understandable; watercolor paint is EXPENSIVE. Most of my paints are 15 bucks or more a tube. When I teach a class, I recommend a set of reasonably good colors that I know work well, but inevitably, despite putting down a list of materials that I KNOW will work, that are reasonably priced, students show up to class with something else that "they found in town" or "was a lot cheaper." Then they sit in class and nearly are in tears when they can't reproduce a simple exercise and have a pale, washy, gritty, smeary result. If they are frustrated, imagine the teacher, who TRIED to get them started right and was foiled by their insistence on not following the instruction they were paying for! Go figure!

Reeves is an established brand of colors that has been around for many years. While I do not prefer these paints myself, and would prefer to see students start with fewer colors, of a better grade, of a different brand (either Cotman by Winsor Newton or American Journey/Davinci) these are acceptable and more so, they are cheap and since most people can't understand why you'd buy three tubes that cost as much as 18, they'll do.

By the way, the PAPER is just as expensive and JUST as important. I prefer Arches or Fabriano and no, the cheap tablets in the children's art department will buckle, peel and not be able to be "scrubbed" so you get what you pay for. DON'T GET me started on brushes. I will tell you, the Taklon, synthetic brushes nowadays are as good or better than a cheap sable brush and won't leave hairs on your painting. It's possible to start in watercolor without spending a fortune, but the better the materials, the less frustration you'll experience and the more pleasure. I've been painting watercolor for fifty years, and I know what works and what doesn't. If you outgrow these paints, step up to artists' grade and choose a limited palette (you only need six or eight colors, really) and you'll find you can do more with better, but less.

My Grand Daughter is into painting and was tired of the "wet and use tray paint", she said it was for "little kids". So, I purchased this set for her and she absolutely loves it. The colors are vibrant and adhere to the surface well and the paint cleans up easily. She loves being able to mix her own colors in the plastic painting tray I also purchased separately. It's a wonderful hobby that keeps her occupied with something besides video games.

This charming set stamps clearly and has a variety of figures for many occasions. I like the dog for a "Sorry I missed the date" or a "Thinking of you" card. The cat w/balloons: "What's up?" and the list goes on. Figures are a good size, alone, or together. TIP: When you first receive the set, take a fine sandpaper and swipe the stamps (still on acrylic backing) a couple of times and they will take the ink better.

Review of Denise2Go for Crochet

A few years back, one of my very first crochet "investments" was to purchase a complete DENISE INTERCHANGEABLE CROCHET HOOK SET.

I have never been a fan of plastic hooks. Before buying Denise hooks, I had many horrific experiences where a plastic hook snapped into pieces while I was crocheting and I was lucky to have both eyes afterwards. So I was a bit leery of this set before reading all the great reviews. With a retail price of $44.95, it was so much cheaper than the other interchangeable hook sets at the time that I decided to risk it. (It didn't hurt that the set was made entirely in the USA in a zero landfill environment.)

After the set arrived, I fell in love. Although the hooks were plastic, they didn't have the brittle seams that snag on yarn as other plastic hooks do. I found it easy to assemble the cords and to build my own double-ended and Tunisian hooks. And I've never had one break or even feel close to snapping. I have since purchased extra hooks in some of my favorite sizes so that it is easier to do double-ended crochet projects.

For some reason, although I love metal hooks for "regular" crochet, I've always found them very uncomfortable for Tunisian and double-ended crochet. And while bamboo hooks are great, when I'm crocheting on the subway commute, I don't really want to be poking my neighbor with a 14″ long hook. These Denise hooks have always helped fill that gap for me. The plastic doesn't feel as harsh to the touch as metal, and it doesn't get cold in the way that metal does. Using a cord (or multiple cords) allows you to have a long hook length without jutting out.

The Denise hook set is what I always pack when I travel because it allows me the flexibility of starting any crochet, double-ended crochet, or Tunisian crochet project that strikes my fancy while I'm away.

I contacted the very friendly people at Denise because I wanted to review the original set on my blog for National Crochet Month 2013, and they introduced me to the Denise2Go for Crochet, one of their newest products.

The Denise 2 Go kit comes rolled up in an attractive fabric designed by Lorna Miser (of Lorna's Laces yarn). This is truly something that can fit in your pocket (if you have jeans or something with sizeable pockets on, that is).

Each kit includes 6 hooks (in US sizes from H-8/5 mm to M-13/9 mm), 4 teal cords (in 3 inch, 5 inch, 9 inch, and 14 inch lengths) to coordinate with the case, 2 end buttons, and 1 extender.

For a crocheter who works primarily with sport/DK, medium/worsted, and bulky yarns, these hooks are a great range for projects on the go.

I love that the cords are a different color than the ones in my regular set.

The kit retails for $39.95. The frugal version of me would say you might be better off buying the full kit, since it has more hooks, cords, extenders, and end buttons. The version of me that likes cute stuff and travels a lot would say you are better off buying the 2 Go kit since it is so darn adorable and it is even more portable than the full set.

Received my Inspired by Craft chalk markers and they are everything I expected. These are great. I initially bought them to use for my younger kids craft activities but since receiving them have found they have multi purposes and can even be used around the house. The colors are really bright and effective, the coverage is fantastic and they create really clean lines on so many various surfaces. I was surprised at how quick and easy they can also be removed. Not only are the kids loving them but I have even organised my pantry with everything now neatly labelled. The family also now has a bright 'family rules' board and my older kids are actually leaving me my phone messages. Best of all, they are perfect for my younger kids as there are no dusty chalky hands and no mess we all love them. Highly recommend.

What fun markers they are! This was my first experience working with this type of marker and I have to say I was very impressed. The colors are very bright and vibrant, with a nice array of colors. The colors come out of the tube in a nice smooth flow. They write on so many different surfaces, unlike regular chalk. I love these Chalk Markers!! The Neon colors are bright and vibrant (even the white one). I have used other similar markers for glass but the coverage was streaky and the clean up was not so easy. I love the coverage these markers gave me, no streaky skipped area, no dripping, no smudging and drying time was (in most cases) instantly and the clean-up was a wet paper towel. So easy. I used these markers (so far) on the mirror in the shower room (that is where I leave messages for my daughter) and the steam from the shower did not effect it, window, plastic (my phone), metal (my front door) and my refrigerator. Now I can't wait to use them on my other daughters sliding glass door. Maybe with such Bright Neon Colors the kids (and husband) will quit running into the glass door!! I will be recommending these markers to all my family and friends. So many uses!!

I have a huge selection of these chisel/point double tipped markers for over 10 years. I have used them an extreme amount of times since I am a scrapbooker/crafter. Then there are times where they would sit in my marker drawer, not being used. I also own many other types of scrapbooking double tipped markers, which are not as old as the prismacolor markers. I have to say that the price for these prismacolor markers are expensive, but well worth it. The pigmentation, and saturation of these colors are incredible. I dearly love them, and glad that they are still around. The other markers which some are not even a year old, have dried up rather quickly after only a few uses. To anyone out there that may question as to wanting to spend this much on a marker set, buy just one first. Try it out, I guarentee you will love them! These prismacolor markers ink color is also very true... I bought a brand name marker in black, and well it was more like a dark grey color, not black... Please, try these prismacolor markers, you will never go back to the other brand markers!!!
