Best Die Cuts with A View 12-Inch by 12-Inch Premium Paper Stack, Lace Deals

I'm usually very fond of the Die Cuts with a View products, but this 12"x12" paper stack was a bit disappointing. Most of the sheets are close-up photographs of various textiles, with the emphasis on (you guessed it) lace and linen. The predominant colors are light tans, off-whites, and pale pinks--colors you might find in your great grandmother's linen cupboard.

These sheets would make a nice background for a wedding scrapbook, but aren't really suitable for card-making (which is why I originally purchased them). Some of the sheets are embellished with a bit of glitter (the kind that doesn't rub off) or embossed lines of 'stitching.'

I have many calligraphy pens using ink well, fountain pens and disposable pens. I have bought calligraphy pens for similar price in the past and I must say that I was terribly disappointed in these. They are like markers with tips that SHOULD be like a calligraphy pen, but they are more like children's markers which you can buy at Walmart. Also when I wrote with then the tips have some stray edges that write really messy and weird. I was hoping that I could get the same effect as a regular fountain calligraphy pen set with these, but it seems that I could have used some Crayola markers instead.

The beauty of these pens is that when you dampen or wet the paper, the line spreads out into beautiful color.

Water color artists use them this way.

I emailed Speedball several times asking if the pen is archival and lightfast. There was no response.

Finally, I asked tech support at one of the stores and was told that the ink is acid free, but is dye based so

the color will fade in time.

This is unfortunate, because the the qualities of the pen are unique to markers, although there are crayons and

pencils that react with water.

These are NOT extra-fine point, or even fine point, they are medium point, and not great quality either, very mediocre. Not quite worth sending back but definitely I won't be buying this brand again. I'd recommend saving your money and buying something better from a physical store where you can actually try the pens and get a sense of the quality.

Honest reviews on Speedball Elegant Writer 6 Fine Calligraphy Markers Set, Assorted

I always keep a set of calligraphy pens around for note cards and addressing envelopes for personal mail. The first thing I noticed about these Elegant Writers is that the caps do not uniformly fit well. Some are so defective as to easily knock off sitting in your pencil/pen cup. Then I noticed the real problem. These pens feel so light that I wondered how they could have any ink in them? Now I believe there is barely any! I had placed the set along with the Staedtler duo calligraphy pens I had gotten in a large pencil holder cup. The tops kept knocking off the Elegant Writers and the first day, two went dry! Then I was working on a project using another Elegant Writer. I set the pen down because I was alternating pens and paint. When I picked it up within minutes, it had gone dry! I have barely had this set a week and three quarters of them are dry! Finally, and the reason I am taking time to write, one went dry as I paused with it in my hand!!!

I have never written a product review before but this product was a waste of money!

IN A NUTSHELL: 1) Caps don't stay on

2) They arrive with barely any ink in them

3) They go dry within minutes when uncapped (even mid project holding it in your hand!).

Review of Martha Stewart 32151 2-Ounce Acrylic Glitter Paint, Bubble Gum

Customer Ratings:

This glitter dries nicely and does not peel off like some glitter paints. If you are painting a dark object, the glitter will appear green to blue and the pink is not pink, but transparent. If you want whatever you paint to be pink, you better paint it over something already pink. Personally I liked the peacock blue and green shades of glitter I got when I painted it on my black cell phone. I put about 3 layers allowing each to dry and now have a brilliant, bling-bling, peacock blue/green phone.

I agree with another reviewer that you should use this on something that's already pink. The sparkles themselves are silvery-green, not pink, but it still looks great. It spreads very well and is just what I needed.

I love the Martha Stewart craft supplies. Her stuff always works just how I need it to. This is a great glitter paint. It's not too thick or childish. Just a very nice paint.

Honest reviews on Martha Stewart 32151 2-Ounce Acrylic Glitter Paint, Bubble Gum

This was awful. Absolutely clumpy and it took about 7 coats to even get it decently sparkly. I'd stick to the old fashioned method of just simple glue and loose glitter.

I bought this glitter paint to use for my unit's employee appreciation. It is perfect! It is translucent, but it has a lot of glitter, so it shows up easily! I would advise users (if putting over a coat of paint) to let the first coat of paint dry, and then apply this!

This is really for appliqueing, not quilting. It doesn't cut a large stack out at a time, just a few layers.

Read carefully. It doesn't come with the cutting mat, and it doesn't come with ANY dies so you can't test it out of the box if you haven't planned ahead. The mat and dies are pretty expensive and of course you can't use crafting store coupons on them. By that price point, you might as well have gotten either the programmable Bernina or the the full Accuquilt Go! if you're doing a lot of quilting with bigger pieces because the max size of the cutouts is pretty small maybe 4."

It's fine too bad the accessories you NEED to use it are separate and very expensive on top of the very expensive and fairly limited machine.

I'm returning or re-gifting it.

I love my go baby fabric square cutter I've had it for over a year, and a friend just bought one after having borrowed mine. HOWEVER, I forgot that ordering the go baby did not include the die or the cutting mat. She got her go baby, but cant use it because the die and mat were not included. I suggest strongly suggest that in the information provided on the ordering page you state that this order is only for the go baby, and not for any necessary dies or mats. I didn't mind buying them -just should have known that they were not included.

I purchased this to help my cutting go faster, the problem is that it actually took even longer than simply using my rotary cutter. It's probably great for the more intricate cutouts, but for basic quilts, it's a hassle.

Honest reviews on AccuQuilt GO! Baby Fabric Cutter

Need to use it more to really have an accurate idea, but the first whirl went well and cut out the appliques beautifully and saved me a ton of time. Now I will be able to applique more often and look forward to trying out my square die to make a little baby quilt.

I was sooooo excited to get this, have been wanting it for a long time. It cuts out shapes with incredible speed (you'll give up your rotary cutter, and despise your scissors), it really does make cutting out a quilt fast. Only problem I've had (and it doesn't have to do with the cutter as much as the dies), but it doesn't always cut out the entire shape. With about every cut, or every other cut; you have to snip the threads it missedwith scissors. Some dies are worse than others for this.

This junior artist set was even better than the one adults would use, I purchased both and my kids were fighting over this one because of the

great color wheel choices.

I was looking for a beginning oil pastels set for my son, who is four. I didn't want a set that would break the bank, and preferred a set that had wrapping around the pastels so his hands wouldn't instantly get messy. These fit the bill.

I have to say, the quality of the colors and the smoothness with which the oil pastels glide along the paper is fantastic. They feel nice to use, leave great colors on the paper, and have a wide array of colors.

The con to these, however, is that they are quite thin and small, and we have broken several of them just through everyday use. I'm not sure I would buy them again, but I do feel like for a first set this was a worthwhile purchase.

Best NEW THREADSRUS 3-Hoop Machine Embroidery Set for Brother SE270D Deals

Customer Ratings:

I was disappointed that these hoops did not fit my Brother SE400. It seems as if they were not machined well and off by just a millimeter or two, just enough that it would not fit into the embroidery hoop holder on the sewing machine.

Not only did all of them not fit correctly (the Brother ones fit perfectly), but you can't embroider anything larger than 4"x4" on this machine, so the seller is being a bit deceiving by telling you that the large hoop fits this machine. The large hoop has four connectors, whereas the small and medium hoops have two connectors, same as the machine.

I read another review that says these don't fit a Brother Se400 and they do! I'm using the same machine. It is nice to have a back up 4x4 hoop since the one that came with my machine gets pretty sticky. I am learning to use the big one to do bigger projects I'm not sure how big it is. I haven't used the hat hoop because I haven't had a need. Pretty good product!

Best Deals for NEW THREADSRUS 3-Hoop Machine Embroidery Set for Brother SE270D

Even though the item title clearly says it will fit a Brother SE400 machine, these will not fit. DO NOT buy. Even trying to force them in they don't work. The plastic piece that should snap into place sticks out farther than the original holder and they will not lock down.

******UPDATE******

I was able to exchange these hoops for a new set and the new set works much better. They go in and out of hte machine very nicely. It appears that the bracket and the plastic hoop were not sitting flush to each other and one bracket was bent. This is what caused the issues I was having. These new hoops work great!

I purchased this set with some trepidation because I was new to embroidery and using a new machine, and because the cost of the Brother hoops were too pricey. Glad I did, I found that they work just as well on my my Brother LB6800PRW as the original one that came with the it. So far, I have not had any probem with the sizes and my pocket is happy!

I bought this wreath along with four stockings. I started this wreath about two weeks ago. I have been doing it off and on, and I have to say I enjoy working with this. So far it looks beautiful. As ling as you have at least a BASIC knowledge of how to sew, it is easy. I am a beginner myself and was initially intimidated by the project but I have found it to be easy to work with and relaxing. My recommendation for this project and the other bucilla products is this. Use cotton balls for the small stuffed figures. Use the fluff for the wreath. Don't over stuff it. Follow the directions but if you know what you are doing, do what is easier for you. I found that ALL the little pieces are easier assembled by sewing/decorating/Embordered all the items on first and then stuffing and sewing them together, but that just worked for me. If you have any doubts, follow the directions.. overall, this is a wonderful item and look forward to starting my stockings..

I bought these elsewhere(at quite a discount, I might add) for a beginning watercolor class I just finished. While I can say the pigment is really rich and obviously of high quality, the color assortment is odd, and it's hard to mix these shades to get everyday colors you might want to use. (The teacher agreed.) For instance, you get two greens, Permanent Green and Veridian Hue. The permanent is a light green, almost lime. The veridian is nearly a blue green neither is 'plain old green' so unless you are experienced mixing shades to achieve a specific result, I would suggest another product, especially if you are new to watercolors. As you go along, you can decide what colors you will use regularly and many tutorials will list a range of standard colors in an artist's palette that would probably be best bought separately.
