I was looking for a beginning oil pastels set for my son, who is four. I didn't want a set that would break the bank, and preferred a set that had wrapping around the pastels so his hands wouldn't instantly get messy. These fit the bill.
I have to say, the quality of the colors and the smoothness with which the oil pastels glide along the paper is fantastic. They feel nice to use, leave great colors on the paper, and have a wide array of colors.
The con to these, however, is that they are quite thin and small, and we have broken several of them just through everyday use. I'm not sure I would buy them again, but I do feel like for a first set this was a worthwhile purchase.

these pastels are great! i have the 25 pack and this pack. the colors are vibrant and so gorgeous, and blends really well. these are more for beginner artists though if you ask me. definitely something for ages 9 and up. this is an amazing product, but if you are a very serious artist you may want something else.
