Review of Pitt Big Brush 48 Count Gift Box Set
This is an excellent set. All the colors are numbered. It is easy to find the exact color you need to finish a work of art. The brushes are big and hold a lot of ink. If you need a smaller brush you can dab a small amount of the ink onto a smaller brush to get into smaller areas of drawing. This is my favorite set over all.all the colors but WHITE, why no WHITE pen ... was disappointed in that .. these things are expensive, they could've thrown in a white one!

Buy Royal Brush Langnickel Soft Grip Brush Set Value Pack

First, I don't understand why some reviewers have said that this comes with a terrible apron. It comes with a durable brush roll (that has room for more brushes if you have them!), but if you tried to use it as an apron, I guess you would end up disappointed too! :)
I discovered these Soft Grip brushes, by Royal Langnickel, when a teacher let me borrow one. I was surprised at the feel and control the grips give you. I don't know why more brushes are made this way. The grip allows for those with poor motor control or difficulty in holding brushes, a way to comfortably paint again. However, that bonus works great for those of us who haven't reached that stage in life yet. Might as well choose comfortable before you need comfortable, right?
Beyond just the grip, what sold me on this line was the incredible snap. So smooth and controlable. Not like some dollar store brush that collaspes the second you wet it. Plus, the clear plastic doesn't flake off handle paint (as it has none) like brushes from other manufacturers. I hate that because you get a rough handle that is annoying. Doesn't happen with these.
I use them for both my acrylic and my watercolor work without any problem. Can't think of a negative other than the plastic can they come in is only packaging and not a fancy reusable item. Oh! And it doesn't come with an apron! lol
The plastic caddy that the brushes come in is handy for traveling or just easy storage where you won't end up crushing the brushes or the ends. Each brush tip does come with a plastic hollow tip to also protect them, altho can get easily lost. I use the top part of the plastic caddy as a water-cup, it's cheap and easy --basically what this whole Value Pack is. Once you've learned more of how to paint and want to spend more, you'll have to as this thing might just fall apart!
There is a nice included dark blue brush holder/bag that separates all the brushes and helps you organize and know when brushes are missing/etc. Overall GREAT price, DECENT quality recommendable but upgrade if you're serious about art.

Let me clarify absolutely that these are short-handle brushes (not long, not in-between) and they are NOT professional artist grade. They do come in a nice range of sizes and types and are decent quality beginner, student or amateur brushes. This set is a nice, inexpensive way to experiment with different brush head types, with one caveat which is the fact they are all short-handle. Note that the soft grips on all the brushes abut directly on the ferrule and due to this and the short-handles, these brushes are best for close-in and/or detail work, although they will work just fine for all general painting purposes plus you can grip the brushes by the end to get something of the feel of working with a long-handle brush. These are decent brushes and you get a lot for your money price is very good at $1.67 per brush and these brushes are certainly worth that and I do like the look and feel of the clear plastic handles and hope they will stay cleaner than the wooden handles on some of my other brushes we will see! I personally have no use for the included plastic brush wrap I wish they had included a nice cotton one instead and/or glued some of that styrofoam-like stuff they use for flower arranging into the top of the case cylinder so that it could do double-duty as a brush dryer (you poke the handle of the wet brushes into the styrofoam, then turn the case upside down that way the brushes dry head down so they retain their shape and the ferrules and handles aren't ruined from water/turps damage I may try making this modification myself). I will upgrade this review if I find these brushes perform better than expected (so far I have only washed and tested a few of them).Best Deals for Royal Brush Langnickel Soft Grip Brush Set Value Pack
You do get a nice variety of brushes. I like to use brushes with the grip. The downside is the quality is just okay. They are better suited for Children's craft projects rather than Oil painting. They are falling apart on me.Honest reviews on Royal Brush Langnickel Soft Grip Brush Set Value Pack
The saying goes, "you get what you pay for." Yes one certainly does with this Value Pack...It's a great price for 12 brushes, and is more of a starter/not-expert kit for people doing acrylic [which is what I'm using it for], oil or water painting. The 20 different brushes all have a very soft rubbery ergonomic grip in the hand, which makes holding it comfortable especially since I'm a lefty and hold the brushes hard and use it for hours on end. There are a variety of brush sizes available, from tiny short bristles, to medium to large and XL bristles. The brush hairs themselves are soft and work pretty well...Again I'm only doing acrylic, but after about a couple months and maybe only 5 small canvases, the hairs have started falling out. I mean not even just a few strands that come off during painting, but large chunks of maybe 5-10+ hairs coming out of the larger brushes! That is pretty BAD quality! Buy Lisa Pavelka 327008 Crafting Foils Bold and Bright
Yes, it's true I have Art ADD. I can't help it...there are so many neat art products/supplies/techniques out there, I find it impossible to settle on just one. I can eat just one potato chip I cannot, however, stick with just one artistic process. (For which the Craft and Hobby Association is thankful, I am sure.)
Forever and a day ago, Lisa Pavelka was a (consistent) guest on the Carol Duvall Show. One of the projects was made with this foil and I had tucked the knowledge away in my ever-overflowing and chaotic brain. When I ran across these on Amazon, my memory was triggered and I decided to get some. Then I realized these are part of the "four-for-three promotion" and decided the Universe was egging me on to get these. So I did. (I don't argue with the Universe especially when it blatantly tells me to order something.) I'm thrilled I listened!
Upon the arrival, I was working on another project a metal stand. Although I have many other ways I could have decorated the stand, I wanted to work with these foils since they were new...and I'm so glad I did! Not only are they fantastic on polymer clay, I am thrilled to report these work extremely well on metal, also. They are easier to control than Jones Tones Foils if you are working on a small, nook-and-cranny-type project. Since these foils are activated with heat (the friction created by rubbing with your finger) and not with pressure (like many other foils) they adhere really well without much work. (I used the red-line tape to adhere the foil to the metal but many other adhesive options are available. If you are using the foil with clay you don't need an additional adhesive the foil "automatically" sticks.) The foil sticks so close to the surface it almost looks like it's embedded. This is especially true with clay.
I haven't used the foils on polymer clay...yet. Oh it's calling me, don't get me wrong. That said, it works well on metal and fills in the smallest cracks and crevices. Each sheet is a decent size providing plenty of foil for all but the largest projects. The directions are easy to follow...the foil colors are bright (the metallics are beautiful!)...the plastic case they come in helps to protect the delicate foil and is a perfect storage container for them...and the amount you use is a variable you control. Rub and create some good heat if you want a lot of color transferred gently and slowly rub if you only want partial color transfer. (Lisa advises using a piece of "deli wrap" or "waxed tissue patty paper" in order to rub faster and therefore build up heat more quickly.) The color lay down is beautiful and will add cool points to any project you're working on. The result looks much more complicated than it actually is only you will know how easy it actually was.
I can see these foils working on just about any substrate. (I'm not sure if they'll stand up to washing the directions don't say anything about heat setting. Although, you can get more information at you'll find "more of Lisa's foil tips, techniques, tricks, and projects".)
If you are a general crafter/artist, into polymer clay, or just like adding different techniques to your repertoire, these will be a welcome addition to your supply arsenal. You'll be glad you got them and surprised at their versatility. Wood, paper, metal, glass...go nuts these aren't just for clay, baby!
As I said it wasn't just me with the problems. My friend in Florida had all the same above issues as I did. I will save my money in the future. Otherwise I might have thought either I was doing something wrong or that the particular package I had was too old or something. It's just too difficult to use and doesn't give satisfactory results which is a shame. I was looking forward to it.

I wouldn't buy this product again. It was a waste of money. I watched her videos a few times to make sure I wasn't doing something wrong. I followed her directions exactly and what I found with this product was that if a spot doesn't transfer I could never get it to transfer onto that spot no matter what I did or however many times I went over it with a new piece of the foil. So you end up wish spots all over the clay that the clay shows through. Also in her video she says that "if" you have a problem with the colors fading you can use permanent markers to brighten it back up. I found that all the colors faded when baked at the recommended temperatures. I'll be honest, after spending money on this product, I don't want it to fade and have to go through the hassle of then repainting it. It's still a bit pretty but not near as bright. I'd rather use pearlex which doesn't fade. My friend and I tested the foils and both had the same issues with the above as well as bubbling of the product. The last issue I had with it was that on a larger piece I did to test it out I had large circular scratches in the surface of the foil from the paper I was using that didn't roll out when I used an acrylic roller on it. Be aware that if you have to roll to get rid of any surface problems that you'll get fine cracking in the foil. That's fine if you're wanting a cracking technique but not if you want it smooth and sparkly. As I said it wasn't just me with the problems. My friend in Florida had all the same above issues as I did. I will save my money in the future. Otherwise I might have thought either I was doing something wrong or that the particular package I had was too old or something. The quality of the material is great! These are very sturdy, and fits most earring posts. It has a heavy feel to it, and once you put it through a post, it takes a bit of strength to pull it out, which is great because of less chances of it falling off. The price is also cheaper than any offline crafts store I've been to so far. I definitely recommend this!

Great! I'm not too fond of chalk inks since they dry a bit faster than what I would like, but the colors are crisp and clear. The bottom color looks like a dark blue but it's a nice dark green. Love it especially for my fall-themed stamps.
Side note still usable for embossing.
I will buy others of this style.

Review of A Complete Kit for Art Enthusiasts: Oil Painting
I chose five stars because when I ordered it I was praying that it had all the items...and it did!! I am so pleased with this that I will be ordering more from here. I have always wanted to learn to paint like this but the websites were hard to find. Now I can hold a book in my hand and read how to. Thanks amazon for having this carrier on your page. I was able to find this very easy and order it. It arrived in a timely manner as well...I think ordering from here is better then driving to local craft stores. I love amazon!!I recieved no kit. Just a book. Complete waste of time. But you get what you pay for I guess.

They're cute. They're vintage. They have little bunnies with little hats on each of their little ears! However, I wouldn't buy them at full price. I bought these a few months ago when they were waaaaay cheaper (maybe even an add-on item). At full price you're not getting bang for your buck. The sentiments are so-so (not in love with the font although I have use them) and tiny. I do like that the images could be used for a variety of winter events (birthday, hello, child's return to school from winter break). As far as stamping, I've not had any problems; they seem to stamp solidly.

Customer Ratings:
List Price: $34.49
Sale Price: $21.63

This is a great little kit for experimenting with acrylics. However the size of the tube is entirely too small, so I would avoid buying these if you're an art student but rather invest in larger tubes of the colours you absolutely NEED instead.
-They're okay when extended with medium. You have to use a lot of them in the medium to not lose the colour. I recommend using a professional medium with them if you can afford it. I definitely noticed a difference when I used Liquitex gel mediums vs Golden or Winsor & Newton.
-The pigment load is okay, but will not look "vibrant". Some of the colours are noticeably brighter than others when mixed with medium (Pthalo blue looks great for example, whereas primary yellow tends to look flat)
-They don't hold up to the test of time well, the lightfastness is not great but definitely better than other student grade paints.
I recommend these for:
-New painter
-Experimentation with new techniques
-Children/teenagers who wish to start painting in acrylic (do not gift medium with this kit, wait to see how they feel about the paints first)
I do not recommend these for:
-Art students and hobbyist painters (you need way more paint than this so just buy the bigger tubes and save money)
-Paintings you intend to give as a gift (or keep)
-Paintings you intend to sell
-Anyone past "student" level as these are student grade paints.

Woodland Scenics ST1446 Low Temp Foam Glue Sticks (10) Review

I am not a pro. This was my first attempt at shirt printing. From my experience heat sublimation does not work. Silk screening works but transfer paper transfers just fall apart after you wash them. If you are planning on having a business learn how to silk screen. For something you are gonna wear one time go for it! The machine was o.k.. It's just the technology that didn't work for me. It is recommended that you buy very expensive printers and inks also that were out of my budget. There is more to it than I imagined and I was not willing to invest the time or the money. My advice is spend a lot of money and buy what is recommended for your heat press (paper, ink, printer) and make sure you can return it all because there is no way of really knowing if it will work for you just by watching YouTube videos.

Cheap Aurifil Thread Set Pat Sloan Basic Quilt/Applique Set
MY Daughter loves these threads! She quilts and says that her sewing machine really LOVES this thread and apparently although expensive, she thinks its well worth the cost. Of course it was a gift to her for Christmas, but she will continue to purchase as needed I am sure.
