i purchased this for my daughter, who is only 6 years old. she really wanted a paint set that came with tubes instead of the cheap little kid pan versions, and i figured, if im going to get her some tube paints, then maybe i should get a little travel set to keep it all together so we can take it with us on trips and adventures. i like it so much, i want to get one for myself now :) the price was great, and the little set is perfect for us! it was a nice present under the tree this year!

I've used these a few times on both 22 and 24 gauge copper sheet (to try them out,) and they weren't the worst I've ever used, but they are definitely not my "go to" stamps. The moon and the star make decent enough impressions, but the sun stamp takes quite a bit of finesse! I tested the stamp several times on copper first until I was satisfied with my striking technique, and still ended up ruining a sterling piece I was working on. The trouble is in the detail. While I frequently use highly detailed design stamps, this particular one tends to skitter across the metal (even when it's taped down to my bench block.) This problem could just be me, but this is the only stamp I own that I have trouble with. Anyhow, if you're looking to get a budget set, these might be worth grabbing if only for the moon & star stamps just make sure to strike hard!

This3 piece Celestial Punch Set for Stamping Metal 3/16" 5mm by Beadsmith offers a sturdy design of the punch area, hardened to punch softer metals without suffering design breakage, like some punches that have very thin stick drawing type designs that will chip off and loose the ability to give the desired punch relief. The will each hold up for a long time if used correctly on softer metals, but don't think they will if used on steel or other hard surfaces.

It is an OK pen set but won't last you a lifetime, 6 to 8 months at best, depending on your patience level. Best performance is when you use cartridges, converter is usless, leaks, and has to be primed by dipping it in the ink well to get the flow going, make sure you have a bar of Lava soap near by for clean up. I would not spend a great deal of money on the Classic or next set up. They both perform but only after much work. But I keep coming back for more since I cannot find a decent Calligrapy pen that you can pick up and write with immediately, but then I prefer an ink well and a good converter or just a regular ink fill pen like Parker use to put out. For a low price I guess you will not be disappointed, just a little messy.

I have purchased other sets of brushes with only 4 brushes to the set and the bristles broke down much sooner that I expected;

I use my brushes for my model rairoad needs and these work great with water base and oil base paints. It is a very good set of brushes for what I need them for.

I'm not an experienced painter, these are my first foray into quality brushes. The brushes themselves seem to work quite well, this is compared to the very cheap brushes I've been using. I have noticed that the black paint on the ferrel is wearing off from rigorous cleaning, they seem to require a gentler approach then I've given them. Overall I believe a nice set for the price and I imagine they will last a long time.

Hello! First off, I bought this exact quill and ink set at Barns and Noble months ago for about $20. Seriously please read this, don't pay an extra $20 dollars plus shipping, it's not worth quite that much. As for the quill itself, it has a very nice weight and while it writes it gets somewhat splochy sometimes; a decrotive hand shape is not the best design for writing. Luckily the nib is removeable and with a good one, it is easily my favorite quill. The ink works well, but Aladine ink is darker and bleeds less. I absolutley love the metalwork though! You can't really see it well in this picture but it's a sort of vine design. Overall I would reccomend this, especially if you have other nibs. Not quite worth $40 though.

This LiquidTex set is an economical way to purchase the primary colors, black and white. The texture is good and the blue and yellow are good, true primary colors. However, the red is not a red, rather it is watermelon pink. It's a good color for mixing with blue and getting some nice violets however it is a paltry red by itself. I had to purchase another red to get a true red.

This is great to have on hand and store very well.I still have a bigger set of colors by this brand and though I've had them over four years, they are still fresh and very usable.
