Best M. Graham Tube Watercolor Paint Shades of Summer 5-Color Set Deals

Some of the BEST watercolour paint around and at a great price! They have a honey like consistency and 80% of the colours offered are single pigments, which is want you want. No issues with muddying when layering due to high pigment load. These are just as good as other "Artist" quality paints and even better than some of the most expensive around such as Bockx, Art Spectrum and such which by the way, are outrageously priced.

These rival the quality of Winsor and Newton 5 series and Daniel Smith. I also love MaimeriBlu, Da Vinci and Holbein, even though Holbein has the worst information on their labels and you need to be careful with blends and fugitive pigments. I only get certain colors with these paints. I really cannot afford Daniel Smith and will not pay $30 for a Winsor and Newton paint color in a 15ml tube!

The only thing is that MG paints do stain, so lifting could be an issue.

Highly recommended.

MaimeriBlu, Holbein

American Journey (made by Da Vinci), Da Vinci

Daniel Smith, 4th only due to cost

Some that you might try as they get a bad wrap:

Lukas, recently reformulated from what I hear they are good but I have not tried them yet

Old Holland, old school manufacturing, but try and see if you like them

I get just a few colors with these brands as I am scarred to invest anything substantial due to conflicting reviews.

Sennelier are great color but you end up using twice as much as they are really runny

Cheap container broke when I took it out of the packaging. smallest punch came bent. Steel punches are soft. Brass punches are super soft. spend the extra $ and get a set from Sears.

This pattern is the cutest thing ever, but it involves doing hundreds of very tiny cross-stitches. I found the imprint of the cross-stitches difficult to see on the fabric, making it all the harder. I gave up on the cross-stitches and simply outlined the twins. More power to you if you can finish this doing all the tiny cross-stitches!!!

My kids attend a school that expects dozens of hand-made crafts from each family for our annual holiday fair fundraiser. There are years that I'm ready for this and feel confident in what I've created... and then there was this year!

I was able to string these cute, woollen beads onto coordinating colors of embroidery floss to make little necklaces to donate to our school. I already had the floss (free from my mother-in-law), so the cost of this bag of "beads" divided by number of beads in the package meant a cost of about $0.50 per donated item--well within my budget.

The colors were very attractive.

The beads felt like real wool, though I didn't try a burn test or anything to test if they really were.

Most balls had a hole through them already, but a few required me to punch through with a fat needle to string my necklaces. This was easy to do.

This is a very handy 5 piece die set to have if you are into card making. I use it all the time with my BigShot machine.

While screen printing does require some trial and error, we strive to make the kits complete, fun, and easy to use. Unfortunately, we have not found a way to make them foolproof. Your comments regarding the instructions are well-taken and we have tried to make them easier. To that end, we now include a free instructional DVD in the kit. We include our toll free number in every kit and have people available to help anyone who is having difficulty with our products.

The Ultimate kit does indeed come with 2 different size screens as described on the package. One 8x10 screen and one 10x14 screen provides flexibility and the opportunity to work with 2 screens simultaneously if the printmaker desires. We make many other sizes, but these are two of the most popular. There are also two 9 inch squeegees (referred to as 'scrapers'). One is designed to lay down a heavier layer of ink for printing on fabric, while the other is designed for printing on paper and similar less porous materials. The 9 inch squeegee is the optimal size to print across the width of the 8x10 screen and lengthwise in the 10x14 screen. With this combination you can print either size on both fabric and paper.

You don't need to coat the screen in the dark when using Speedball photo emulsion. We coat screens every day in our lab, at home, in schools, and at printmaking studios around the country in broad daylight with no difficulty. Just be sure to let it dry in a dark place like a cabinet or closet. Once dry, you have a couple minutes in the light before you begin the exposure so there is no need for a darkroom.

It is a real mistake to disparage the "other screen methods" as arts and crafts or child's projects. One need only see the screen prints of Henri Matisse or Jacob Lawrence to learn what an artist can create out of simplicity.

Speedball was the pioneer of water-based screen printing nearly 40 years ago. At a time when other available screen printing materials were harsh, solvent based chemicals, Speedball invested heavily in the research and development of safe, easy to use screen printing materials to complement their water-based relief printing inks. Although we have worked with thousands of students, art educators, and professional artists; we clearly have room to improve and appreciate your feedback.

This was a Christmas gift for my 23 year old daughter. She has never screen printed but is a professional dancer and full time adult artsy kid. She watched the DVD and within 24 hours "smudgy panda" was printed on everything she could get under the screen. Yep there was a learning curve--hence the name of the Panda but it was steep and only a few smudgy panda's were actually smudgy. I highly recommend for anyone looking for an entry into silk screening.

This stencil set contains a lot of very popular stencil designs. They are easy to use, and easy to replace into booklet and reuse. The adhesive is very sticky and the first couple of uses requires care in peeling it off. I gave it four stars instead of five because a couple of stencils ripped in the center when removed from the page due to being attached by only a small piece of stencil. So use care when peeling them off the page. Price was good and would purchase it again.

pretty good, they last about 5 sprays each sticker tattoo, they are also a bit hard to take out of the book and some of them tear, but of course the day i used them every little girl wanted the butterfly and it did not last.

so i would def not call these reusable.

but they still worked good

This is a handy little kit for beginners or for those that would like to travel with them. Water mixable oils are the way to go. They are virtually odorless and clean up with soap and water. They can be thinned with Modified Linseed Oil (water is NOT recommended) Your painting will dry in far less time than with traditional oils. Also you aren't exposing yourself to all the solvents for clean up. I can now paint indoors were before with regular oils I could not. Highly recommended. Don't think they are watercolors. . . they ARE NOT. Water mixable oils are TRUE OILS.

these are nice, i bought them for traveling but i now use them all the time. the set has no black which is annoying. the smell is different than regular oils, not as pleasant, and the texture can get gloppy. i looked these up on the internet; they are made by adding detergent. i think you probably save money over regular oils by a lot because of how much easier the cleanup is. and if you dilute them with water they make a kind of gouachy texture. i like these paints because i can make a thin overcoat using mostly water to alter the shade, and these do dry a little quicker too. your brushes will thank you if you buy this paint. i don't know how my paintings will hold up over time with this paint, but let's face it that will probably be moot. i wonder if you can make your own water-mixable oils by adding detergent to oil paints?
