The kit is okay.... my wire cutters were the only issue with the kit. They had a small spot of rust on them (not on the blades) which isn't too big of a deal. But they didn't cut well. They serve the purpose well buy not great. I do recommend but only if you have another pair of cutters.

This is a really nice, complete set of tools that I purchased to replace my old tools, which were marring my materials. These tools don't leave marks and are of good quality. I don't know if they'd be good enough for a professional jeweler, but they are definitely perfect for a hobbyist like myself. They fit my hands perfectly, however, I have very small hands and I don't know how someone with large hands will feel about them. The case they come in is attractive, and the double bands inside keep the tools neat. They're a little tight, though, and its difficult to put some of the tools back in place, especially the bent nose chain pliers. Also, the case doesn't close properly if you don't put the tweezers back in the "correct position." This is something I can get used to, but I still find it annoying at the moment. These few flaws are very minor in my opinion, and do not change the fact that the tools are excellent and that the case is mostly very good.

I've read the reviews and I don't have any trouble with the size. They are a tight fit but I prefer it so that tools won't slide around and the straps are not going to wear out quickly.

I love to color... okay, I know a woman of my advancing years isn't supposed to do that, but there it is. I find it relaxing and freeing. It's kind of like meditating. Okay, so enough with the metaphysical aspects of coloring. I wanted some pencils of higher quality than the ones I send to elementary school with the kids. I wanted it in a compact self-contained durable package. I wanted my very own (hide it from the kids!) set of pencils. It's pretty good, but didn't quite fill all those expectations. The container is flimsy and doesn't seal. So the minute you pick it up, your pencils and pastels are all over the floor. Ugh. I do like the way the pencils feel and the colors they produce. I like that there's a sharpener inside and slots to hold the pencils. If only the lid actually stayed closed, I would have given it 4 or 5 stars. If you have a kid, who loves art and is careful with their supplies, this would be a good starter kit. Mine will probably end up all jumbled up in a plastic container in one of the kids' rooms and me still wishing for my very own set of beautiful pencils.

I got these for my son who has a knack for art. He used them to design the yearbook cover for his middle school. He won the contest and so his design will be used for the cover. He likes the quality. I may try more expensive ones in the future just to compare, since my son's art capability is worth it. But I won't spend 3 times more for a 10% improvement.

My artsy granddaughter loved this set. I put it in her Easter basket and because they left for the beach that afternoon, she had it in the car with her to use during the trip. I am not artistic in drawing, etc., so I can't vouch for the quality of the materials, but my 11-year old granddaughter thought it wonderful and so did her mother. That was good enough for me.

This pattern is the cutest thing ever, but it involves doing hundreds of very tiny cross-stitches. I found the imprint of the cross-stitches difficult to see on the fabric, making it all the harder. I gave up on the cross-stitches and simply outlined the twins. More power to you if you can finish this doing all the tiny cross-stitches!!!

Hey all.. I'm doing this review because I feel someone out there might be checking this product out because they want to use it for nail art.

When I was about to order this, I wished someone had said whether or not they used it for nail art, but I didn't see anyone mention it. I took a leap of faith, and ordered it anyway.

Well, I've used a lot of the colors, and can I just say... This is amazing for nail art! If you're into doing your own nails like me, and love nail arts, well this acrylic paints are way better than using Nail polish to do art/designs on your nails.

I say go for it, and you'll come back to thank me. You can either choose to dilute the colors with water, or use it just as it is.. either way, you get bold designs.

This is such a great product at a bargain price. I am very very happy with this. I assume it'll be good if you're a painter too.. but this review is mainly for those who are considering using these for nail art/designs. :-)

I am not an artist. I bought this set of paints for a craft project painting on plastic cling film. They worked great for that purpose. The paint is thick enough that it covered the black outlines in one coat and dried quickly. I also like the selection of colors in this set; more than enough options. The size of the tubes is also good (.4 fluid oz.). I don't intend to do a lot of painting but there is plenty here for more projects. I have used Liquitex acrylic paints in the past & these are comparable (in my non-professional artist opinion).

Acrylic paints clean up in soap & water.

Reeves is a British company but these paints are made in China.

I love doing ceramics, but prefer the glossy "fired" finished look to the dull, matte look. I stumbled onto Folk Art Clear Coat Hi-Shine Glaze many years ago, and it's all I use now. It's very glossy and has a way of bringing the colors & layers of my painting technique to life. It's really great stuff! The trick is to READ AND FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS. Many people simply think, "It's paint... you spray it on," which is true of course, but you must spray it within the time parameters suggested, at the distance and conditions suggested, and let it cure properly for best results (as you would with any product). If applied as directed, I feel that you will not be disappointed with this product if a hi-gloss shine clear coat is what you desire.

Stencils shouldn't be cardboard since they will smudge, and the perforation points don't leave a clean line, so you have to account for that when tracing or you will have bumps.

Several of the caps are a little hard to make out. The cardboard is not substantial enough for some of the letters so you have to hold the center when tracing.

They're just what you'd think! They're well-made with nice, smooth edges. The holes in the center, too, give you more shapes to trace, but even better, they're easy to hang up on a nail. I actually like using these more than my metal hip curve, because the sound of a pencil being dragged across the metal edge makes my teeth hurt. These don't make that gross sound-feeling (which is all in my head, no doubt!), and they're lovely and slippery -very easy to use.

This is a nice assortment of French Curves. They arrived quickly. The price was great. I used them to trace designs in wood to cut custom shapes. For me this is an essential tool in my planning and executing custom wood working. My customers love the designs as well. There is almost nothing that you can't do with these. If you have never used a French Curve then buy these and try them out. From lettering to round corners these will serve you well.

My husband purchased two of these packs for my use. The sketch books in this pack are conveniently shrink-wrapped together for shipping. My over-all rating for this sketch pack is 4 stars. Even though I am mainly satisfied with these sketch books, I do have a few reservations which keep me from rating the pack 5 stars.

1. Hardbound sketch book. The product description claims this lies flat when open, but it doesn't, especially when you get beyond the first third of the book or so... Mine keeps wanting to close whenever I'm not paying close attention. I find this to be a distinctly unpleasant drawback, even to the point where I've avoided finishing the works I started in one of these books. 3.8 star rating for this item.

2. 9 X 12 Spiral-bound sketch book. This is bound on one long side; I prefer sketch pads that are bound on the short side, and prefer to avoid spiral-bound pads altogether. While this book will lie flat when open, the wire binding gets in my way while working. I make use of this type of book by removing pages to work with... and then, of course I have all those little shreds of paper to deal with as one has with any spiral-bound paper that's not perforated for removal. 3.8 star rating for this item.

3. 9 X 12 Euro-style sketch book. Pages are stapled together in this sketch book, which can be made to lie flat with a bit of back-folding and coaxing. One of two better components in this sketch pack, this book is handy to take along when traveling, but needs some better type of cover to protect the book, in my opinion, because the covers are fairly thin, not much better than heavy cardstock. This book is not suitable for removing sheets to work with outside the book. 4.2 star rating for this item.

All three of the above items contain 70lb paper, which is not the best, but is workable, especially if one is creating rough drafts of projects to be finished on another media.

4. 9 X 12 Drawing pad, tape-bound on one short side. This is the starring item in this pack! The paper contained in this pad is at least a cut above the paper in the other three items of this pack. There are 25 sheets of 90lb paper that can easily be removed from the pad. Since I prefer to work on loose sheets, this is my favorite pad of the bunch. After removing a sheet to work with, the remaining sheets of this pad stay bound until the artist is ready to remove them. The heavier paper featured here is suitable quality for finished drawings with any dry media. 5 stars for this item.

As another reviewer has stated, I haven't been able to find a better value than these four sketch books, despite the fact that I'm not real fond of two out of the three, and have somewhat lukewarm feelings about the third. The 4th pad more than makes up for that. I just wish the tape-bound pad included in this pack were available separately.

These are nice sketch books. There is a thin spiral one, a thick hard covered book, a spiral one with the spiral on top and not the sides and a thin soft covered one for traveling. Over all I am happy with the purchase, and look forward to drawing in them.
