I purchased these Acrylic paints for my 23 year old for Christmas and we were very disappointed in the quality of the paint. They are more like the water color paints that you have your little kids paint with. Very watery, and very grainy (if that's a word). :) I don't recommend these to anyone if your serious about painting...these are more on an elementary level.

It tends to be less thick then fine quality acrylic or tube acrylic as most of us know them to be. I've wanted an airbrush for a long time for my cake decorating. I purchased this one on a recommendation from a friend that has a Master Airbrush. Although the colors in this set were limited, they were the perfect colors for the project I had in mind.

There were no instructions on how to put everything together (again, I am a newbie to this) so I relied on the picture on the box. Had a little bit of a challenge regulating the machine, but once we figured it out, it worked like a charm.

For a beginner airbrusher, this was the perfect size with the perfect amount of colors. The shimmer colors included were an added bonus!!

Can't wait to use it again for my next project.

I do a lot of jewelry that requires a lot of tricky bending. The grip on this is not only perfect for what I need, its the only kind of shape that can do some of the more critical bends I need. I just have one major problem... the metal on this isn't nearly strong enough. I've owned three of these in the past two months, and not because I love it so much, because it breaks so damn easy. It's the perfect design for making difficult bends, but the materials are just not strong enough.

They will not cut plastic or chipboard, but I cut some with stiff cardboard, then cut some out of card stock, glued them togther, cut out the tabs You can position them right over type on your paper)glued them on, ran them through the laminator and actualy used them as section dividors on a journal. Also used some to mark potted plants. And, you get two sizes. Make bookmarks, cupcake picks I am really happy that I purchased them and the price was really good.

Best Beadsmith 36 Piece Letter & Number Punch Set For Stamping Metal Deals

I returned this item. In the set I received, the stamp with the letter "Z" was larger than the letters on the rest of the stamps. The Z appears to be for a different size set. Another problem is; I bought this set because of the box it comes in, but was very disappointed. In the photo, the inside of the box looks very neat and the stamps are all standing straight, in nicely drilled holes (this is not how mine looked). The board with the holes for the stamps is about 1/4 of an inch thick, it is not attached and has too much clearance (about 1/8" or more) all around the edges. It fits very loosely in the box and the holes drilled for storing the stamps are irregular in shape, like they were drilled 2 or 3 times, slightly off each time. There also are no corresponding holes in the bottom of the box, so the stamps don't stand up straight. Since they don't stand up straight, they fall over and can drop into the bottom of the box when moved around. When they arrived, before opening the Amazon package, there was a lot of rattling inside it. After opening the package and taking the plastic wrap off the stamp set, I found all the stamps had fallen into the bottom of the wooden box. If the board with holes was thicker, or another wooden board with holes was glued in the bottom of the box, it could have corrected this problem. The box itself is OK enough, but the inside is lacking. Amazon has other 1.5mm, 36 piece stamp sets for a lot less. For me, this box is not worth the extra money.

As far as the letters being centered, they all seemed to be OK in that respect.

I was so very happy to receive my order sooner than I expected [via Fed Ex]! The metal stamp set arrived in perfect condition and the wooden box was sealed in its own plastic wrap -the same way it is stocked at my local bead stores. My daughter and I checked to make sure the set was complete; it sure was!

I like how Beadsmith marked the stamps so it is easy to tell which way to hold the punch to get the correct imprint. I also went ahead with my Sharpie pens and made my own marks on the tool for organization purposes. I've used these stamps before so I knew what to expect. The letters are TINY, but it's what I need for the first projects that I have lined up. I would recommends one or two sizes larger, 3mm or 4mm, for EASIER READING if that's what you have in mind for your projects.

Metal Stamping is a simple project, but it does take practice for adequate indentation. If you need extra tips, watch online video tutorials or read and follow illustrated online articles to learn metal stamping techniques.

These are pretty readable for their size when stamped. They are, however, very diffcult to line up straight due to the tiny size and the fact that they are sitting smack in the middle of a giant head. These would be better if the shank were smaller, more relative to the letter size. It took me a lot of practice and a lot of test copper to figure out how to stamp these with any semblance of consistency. I recomment sticking with something larger if you are in this price range, or splurge for a mega-expensive set an avoid all the headaches.

This is a pretty handy set. I've used it on several quilting projects and a few appliques over the past few months, and it's done everything I need in a craft iron.

Pros: The cord is a nice, long length that allows me to really maneuver around my projects without getting tied up in the cord or needing to be right next to my outlet. It comes with several tips for the iron so if I need a particular shape to get in around appliques or buttons or such, I can usually find the right tip for the job. I also like that it came with an adapter to change out the tips. I've never had a problem with scorching, so the temperature setting seems good.

Cons: I wish there were a tip that was just a little larger in this set. I understand this is a "mini" crafting iron, but most of the tips are designed specifically to get around buttons or in hard-to-reach areas, and a more "standard", flat tip might be nice.

I am very pleased with this product. I have alot of Barbie dolls small clothes and found it very easy to iron these small items. I also like all the different tips that comes with it. The only thing I did not like was the red plastic protector at the top of the handle. When ironing, the tip must be flat and I found that this protector was interferring with the garment, so I removed this protector and found it much easier to handle and ironing is much easier. Obviously, you don't want to touch the tip when hot. As far as the performance of this tool, I found it GREAT !

An excellent product at a reasonable price. I am not a QUILTER, sorry to say, but I use this Mini Iron to lightly press my newly-knit woolen swatches when I am checking the gauge. And for all my woolen swatches and knitted postcards I make certain that I place a small piece of clean sheeting atop the wool before applying the heat.

I also use the Mini Iron for applying hot glue to certain items and for flattening out wheat straw stems for items that I am making. For most of these, with the exception of the hot glue, I generally use the lowest heat setting: It has three settings, low, mid and high. It's fortunate that this adapter set has a variety of tips and styles that make this a real multitasking unit. It has FIVE tips. Actually, I find this product so handy and valuable for myself that I have recently ordered another one from Amazon as a gift for a friend.

This was the best deal I found while looking for this little iron to press doll clothes. The little stand does not work very well, but I can live with that. It's the perfect thing for getting into little places. On my first use, I used the wrong temperature setting and melted my fabric. Dumb. Read the package to learn the correct setting for your fabric. Always test on a scrap of fabric if you are unsure. It takes a while to heat up, so it might start out working OK on your fabric, but in a few minutes it might be too hot. Use low for synthetics like the package says. I have not used the hot knife yet, but I hope to try it the next time I need to cut out nylon, etc. There is a you tube video showing how to cut fabric with a hot knife, and it is very informative.

I am a sewing machine embroiderer and do frequent appliques. I brought it with the intention of using the little irons to press my little applique pieces when applied (I like to fuse mine down before finalizing with the satin stitch). Well, I found it was also perfect when I was sewing toddler John Johns....the tool was handy to have near by for the little seams, and not having to use the large iron ...Also..I used the hot knife blade for cutting/ searing ribbon so it wouldn't fray. I bought all three pieces.... the stand wasn't necessary, but handy when the iron was hot and needed to prop or cool it.... all the attachments would fit in this case...but then again, it wouldn't hold the iron itself for storage. So the case does this.

Also...this style Clover Iron has the finger guards...which it super nice, and I burned a finger on one of the regular Clover irons...

so the longer I have this set, I am finding more uses! Not just a fun toy, but a welcome tool !

I was going off to Art School and didn't have a lot to spend. So of course I needed to find a Water Color set that was affordable, but had and could hold up to the the same quality as the expensive ones.

I came across the Winsor & Newton Cotman Series. I have been a big fan of Winsor & Newton brand since they tend to stand for High Quality products and I have never been disappointed from any of their products I own. These colors are Awesome! They are affordable (the packs and when you buy them individually) and have the same High Quality Standards as their more expensive lines. They hold up great, some of the tubes I've had for years and haven't lost their color or texture.

This item is also listed as a children's toy which I wouldn't disagree with. They're more for professional artist and people who been painting and know about mixing colors, etc...

If your child is just learning how to use watercolors, learning about art, fine artist potential and I used these when I was in Middle School (which I got into my middles school for art, I went to a magnet school); I would recommend Crayola Artista II Semi-Moist Watercolors Semi-Moist Watercolors (which I have written a review for).

I have trusted Winsor & Newton ever since I was introduced to their oil line of paints. When I started in watercolors, I knew better than to go with any other brand, but I did on occasion. I always regretted it. This Cotman series of paints if far superior to anything else I have tried. The colors are rich and vibrant. They don't cost a small fortune. Paintings I did ten years ago still look fresh today. Maybe I am a fan girl, but W&N have never failed me yet.

I have recently began coloring as a stress reliever and to keep my hands busy. (Nervous nail biting habit otherwise) I found these at Michael's for 20, but then of course researched here and found them for less. I have posted a few pictures, hopefully to help interested buyers get an idea of the colors included. There is an excellent variety in this set. The markers so far have proven bold and well inked. Highly recommend cardstock or better. :)

My only complaint would be the packaging, but I am the kind of person who is willing to put in a little effort to customize my 'setup.' The markers come in a little plastic caddy that is somewhat flimsy. I have not had a problem with it falling apart or anything like that; it just sometimes tilts to one side and makes sliding the marker back into the two slots a little difficult. (When shifted, the bottom holes so not align with the top.)

Again, with regards to the packaging, the markers are not labeled by color, but rather by number. The set I purchased, the #s are gold and on a white background. This makes them a bit difficult to see. If you want your colors in a prismatic order, and are willing to invest a little time, You can label the lids by #, as I did, and make a corresponding chart. A little overboard I know, but I try to color symmetrically and so want the colors to 'flow'.

The #s that are listed on the markers correspond to a tiny, barely legible chart on the front of the plastic box it comes in. The colors shown are not at all true to the actual markers; they are shown against a black background and are very dark and dull. I have barely looked at the names, making a color chart made it irrelevant.

Still, aside from the original effort in organizing the markers, and a warning to move the caddy with a little care, I do recommend these markers as a really good deal with a decent variety and quality for the price.

I paint/draw for my own pleasure, so I did not want to spend big bucks for a professional set of markers. I have a 50 marker set by Crayola, wanted more "in-between" shades. One would assume that with 100 markers, every conceivable shade would be included. I felt that this set was lacking in pinks and yellows, also there is no white marker.

Function and longevity is fine. This may be petty, but it would be quite helpful to have the markers numbered or the colors named. To keep them from rolling around, I return them to their rack after use. Very dificult to find a specific marker to re-use if wanted, particulary if it is in a blue/green shade.

Too much money for what's there, stick with Crayola or go for the gold with a Tombow or Prismacolor set.

These markers have a good variety of colors. Not all have a good supply of ink. The points are well defined, and will make a fine line if held straight up. A broad line can be made if held to the side. The ink level in some brings the value down.

I really enjoy these markers. Acid free with great color lay down. But I didn't get 100 colors. Only about 88. Many duplicates so therefore was missing several colors. It's no huge deal, but a few colors I wanted weren't there. Still great art tools, but I feel a wee bit cheated. I am sure it was not the seller's fault, but manufacturer error.

The Ultimate kit does indeed come with 2 different size screens as described on the package. One 8x10 screen and one 10x14 screen provides flexibility and the opportunity to work with 2 screens simultaneously if the printmaker desires. We make many other sizes, but these are two of the most popular. There are also two 9 inch squeegees (referred to as 'scrapers'). One is designed to lay down a heavier layer of ink for printing on fabric, while the other is designed for printing on paper and similar less porous materials. The 9 inch squeegee is the optimal size to print across the width of the 8x10 screen and lengthwise in the 10x14 screen. With this combination you can print either size on both fabric and paper.

You don't need to coat the screen in the dark when using Speedball photo emulsion. We coat screens every day in our lab, at home, in schools, and at printmaking studios around the country in broad daylight with no difficulty. Just be sure to let it dry in a dark place like a cabinet or closet. Once dry, you have a couple minutes in the light before you begin the exposure so there is no need for a darkroom.

It is a real mistake to disparage the "other screen methods" as arts and crafts or child's projects. One need only see the screen prints of Henri Matisse or Jacob Lawrence to learn what an artist can create out of simplicity.

This was a Christmas gift for my 23 year old daughter. She has never screen printed but is a professional dancer and full time adult artsy kid. She watched the DVD and within 24 hours "smudgy panda" was printed on everything she could get under the screen. Yep there was a learning curve--hence the name of the Panda but it was steep and only a few smudgy panda's were actually smudgy. I highly recommend for anyone looking for an entry into silk screening.

Fantastic color. Simply the best pastels I've used to date. The color from these little sticks is not overrated, "You get what you pay for." This sample set is a excellent way to test drive this brand because an extensive set is quite an investment. Unison's tend to stay intact much better than Schmincke.

I have trouble drawing with Schmincke's without the sticks crumbling but that isn't necessarily bad, maybe just bad technique. For me there is a plus side to crumbly sticks as it can easily turn into a fine (spreadable) powder that I can use with my finger tips to transition, blend colors and add depth. I can do this with the Unison sticks too without break them into fragments. For detail work I sometimes use pastel pencils along with Unison pastels. Schmincke's pastels are available locally in single sticks which is a plus.

Plaid:Craft - Gallery Glass Window Color 2 Ounces Reviews

Don't laugh! I bought this to tint the faceted light bulbs in my bathroom. The halogen bulbs are just so bright, I needed to tone them down a little. Even at 40 watts, four of them were just a little overwhelming. My bathroom is done in shades of lavender and purple, so I thought this might provide a solution. Amazingly enough, it works. I may have to do another coat, as it's still pretty bright, but it really adds a nice lavender touch to the reflections on the wall. I only did the ends, and every other spiral, so the entire bulb isn't tinted. I did do it multiple coats on the ends, as I thought that would dim the light a little more. Not so much on the sides though, I only wanted to add purple to the bulb, not my face. It's really subtle when the light is on, and really cool and noticeable when the light is off. Definitely one of my better ideas!
