I love that the mats come in complete sets. They are so simple to use and add a "work of art" quality to photographs

It took me a while to find a size that would take an 8x12 photo, so when I found these, I was happy. Not only do they take the hard to find frame size of an 8x12, they make them into an easy to find frame size of 11x14! They come with bags too!

I have now placed two orders for these, and will be placing a third soon. These are a wonderful value, and I have yet to have a single bad mat.

This product far exceeded my expectations. I run a photography business and this product is perfect for matting my photos. I thought since it was cheaper than other mats on the market that the quality would also be cheaper, this is not so. The quality is excellent. The mats did not come scratched or bent, making all of them usable. I am very glad it came with both the front, backings, and a very professional looking bag to put them in. I definitely will buy this product again. When this product is put together with a photograph it looks very professional. For those of you who may not know, in order to hold the front mats to the backings you will need linen tape to make a hinge on one side and mounting strips (I use Lineco) to hold the photo in place. I also used a small piece of double stick tape to hold the side opposite the linen tape hinge together.

I paint in pastels and often use pastel pencils for fine lines and small areas. This is the largest set I've found. The color choices are fabulous, and I love the feel of the pencil as I use it on my gator board pumice prepped surface.

These (and all others like it as I have many) are so easy and simple to use I wondered why I used other dies first.

When I first purchased these items I also wondered how to use them on my Sizzix machine as I do not own the one which these were created for. I went to the Spellbinders website and saw they have some videos which show how to use their dies on multiple systems. The video is showing how easy it is, and easy is nice.

Do not be discouraged by [revious reviewer. These really are simple and easy to use. They are indeed packaged so as not to shift in shipping but that is easily rectified for storage later. If you do not purchase the carrying case to put these in you can simply put them in Ziploc bags and file in a folder. You can put a sample of the die on the outside of the folder for easy locating later if needed.

I recommend these dies as they are versatile and easy to use. If you do not know how to use on your system, go to the Stampabilities website and view their videos showing how to use, or call their number to talk with customer service, as I had done this once as well. I have a Sizzix machine but I use these dies on it.

The Nestabilities work great once you fiqure out how to use them with your particular die-cut machine. There are no instructions on how to use the product. But once you get over this hump, they work great cutting all of the shapes included.

They DO NOT EMBOSS however until you buy an embossing pad. Again no instructions so you have to figure this out on your own.

Then there is storage. You need to keep them organized (there are over 100 dies, over 20 in each 4 count pack) but all that is provided is double faced tape to hold them down on cardboard. A temporary solution at best. The tape eventually wears out but in some cases the individual Nestability can be bent due to the force needed to get it off the tape the first time.

Overall the product seem to be in its infancy and needs some improvements to instructions, long term storage and possibly initial packaging. But I am willing to pioneer on!

Dress My Cupcake 14" Navy Blue Tissue Paper Pom Poms, Set of 4 Review

I couldn't find navy blue pom poms anywhere for my son's room so I had to go with these. They look nice but I am used to the ones that are ready to go, already folded (like the fan shape) with center ties and all I have to do is puff them. I basically received tissue paper with the ends rounded as shown in the picture above. I had to separate the sheets, then tie them in the center, then fold like fans then puff. The color looks nice and overall the pom poms look nice so I rated it a 4...just wasn't expecting the extra work since it was not in the item description.

it is a beautiful pattern, but it is really hard to take the paper out from the mold (template).

Especially the biggest one. I used needle or tooth pick to tuck the paper carefully, but I

failed so many times. It's really easy to ruin the paper itself. Maybe there is a way to make

it easier that I need to know.

Wax paper is a must, but using it makes these dies a breeze. They make lovely accents and the focal point of a card.

I really wanted this die set, but was disappointed as the largest die just doesn't cut well. I can rotate and get it cut after several passes (without tearing previous cuts). I'm not really sure what to do with all the little die pieces...maybe with time I'll figure out some ways to use all the pieces.

Honest reviews on Spellbinders S5-119 Shapeabilities Venetian Motifs Die Templates

This is very pretty. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because the pieces are difficult to remove from the die cutter.

Sad to say it but not all of them come out like they should. I recently bought a Spellbinders just so I could buy some of these great dies and was upset that their own system failed to produce the die cuts as they should. I may have just as well used my Big Shot and saved myself $100.00!

I love, love, love these Shiva Paintstiks. The colors are so bright and they go on like butter. The fact that they "self-close" is great because they don't dry out. Just peel off the outer film and you're ready to use them again. I highly recommend them.

Discount Yasutomo Gel Xtreme Metallic Pens, Package of 7

Customer Ratings:

This set of gel pens is just what I was looking for. The colors all show up vividly on black paper as well as other colored paper. They are much better than the gel pens available at my local office supply stores. I also purchased the Yasutomo & Co. Gel Xtreme Pens set of pastel colors and am not disapointed. Both sets are perfect. I would not hesitate to purchase either set again.

I like this set of pens because the ink flows very smoothly. Unfortunately, I happened to get a silver pen that sometimes chokes. All in all, the tips are .7mm and they are quite thick.

If you're looking for a shimmery type of glittery gel pen, this is not it (i recommend sakura gelly roll pens instead). This set is rather metallic in color.

Good for decorating cards or signing yearbooks. Ink doesn't dry instantly, however, so it might smudge.

Best Deals for Yasutomo Gel Xtreme Metallic Pens, Package of 7

I can't even tell you how many pens I've gone through trying to find a pen that not only writes well, but shows up on black paper. My mother (for some unknown reason) bought several packages of black notebook paper, and notebooks -by several, assume I'm completely understating the obvious I have half a shelf full of unused black paper!! After which, she discovered she couldn't find a single set of gel pens that worked, and the paper just sat in her basement for the last several years. While cleaning out her basement, she ended up giving the whole lot of them to me and my daughter (who is a pre-teenager and thinks black paper is the "coolest thing ever" at the moment..) But ... turns out, I went through at least twenty different brands of store-bought gel pens with no luck on ones that wrote well, and actually showed up on the paper enough to be readable. After searching online through reviews and blogs, I finally decided I was going to have to try sending away for these.. and was THRILLED to find that they work. Not only are they clearly readable on the black paper, but they roll easily, don't clog or skip, and are easy to write with. We will definitely be buying more of these!

These gel pens are a great addition to any art work you do. I have ordered them numerous times and will continue to do so.

Cheap Copic Markers 12-Piece Toner Gray Set

Customer Ratings:
List Price: $83.88
Sale Price: $62.91
Today's Bonus: 25% Off

I have bought both the Warm and Cool grey sets of Copic markers and I really couldn't be more happy with them. If you are looking to produce beautiful tonal drawings, these will get the job done and then some. Your only limitations will really be your own abilities which I guarantee will grow if you stick with the Copics.

That being said I just wanted to say a few words on the price and the markers themselves. It's easy to look at a set of Copic markers and think to yourself "Why would I pay so much for something I'm going to throw out in just a few months?" And with any other brand of marker, you'd be correct in feeling a little ripped off. But Copics are different; and not just because they are quality markers, because in all honesty so are Prismacolors or most other high end brand of markers. But the difference is that any Copic marker you buy can be refilled once it goes dry and all the nibs and brush heads can be replaced once they are worn out. Because of this, buying a set of Copic markers is more like buying a set of paint brushes rather than a set of pencils, pastels or markers for that matter.

If you do decide to buy this set you are looking at a high up front cost, not only for the markers but also the refill ink for each marker. However, once you've made the investment it's pretty cheap to keep your markers going. Each refill bottle will fill a Copic marker 7-10 times, making it somewhere between 50 cents to a dollar per refill. So, in the long term it becomes well worth the initial price, especially when you consider one Prismacolor marker costs somewhere between 4-6 dollars to replace.

These markers really are an investment; not just as far as money goes but in yourself as well. So, if you can't see yourself using them regularly a couple years down the road then they might not be a good fit for you. On the other hand, if you are an artist who is looking for a set of tools that are going to last and produce quality work, I can tell that your money is being well spent.

What I love about Copic markers is that they don't streak and they leave a nice even color. I wanted just a normal gray marker set, so I thought the Toner Gray set would work out. They work fine, but three to four of the middle-gray markers are nearly the same shade of gray which disappointed me.
