It is hard finding the currect colors for skin tone embroidery. These spools give you a basic to skin tone color and a great place to start wheather you get the 10 or 20 spool packs. I know they make a hair tone packs as well, but have not seen this on Amazon website.

I cannot review this product because I was sent a fake. The bottle of paint I received was not Martha Stewart and had a sticker over the original color (Ballet Pink) which said Martha Stewart, Mother of Pearl. The paint was light pink, nothing pearl about it. I have returned it for a refund.

I was looking for a product we used on our walls in the hallway to add light in a dark area. Since my original product is discontinued we found this Martha stewart pearl. It goes on thick so you may want to thin it out but thick is good for a full coverage. I need a thin glaze so we thinnned it out. Works great and brushes clean in water and dish soap.

I used Martha Stewart's Acrylic Pearl Paint, Aquarium to paint the outside glass back of my 5.5 gallon aquarium. I used a foam roller, and the paint glided on very smoothly. The first two coats remained translucent so that light could shine through. However, I wanted to mask the filter and the heater cords, so I applied four coats so that no outside light can shine through to silhouette the workings on the backside of the fish tank. I alternated roller direction first coat vertical strokes, second coat horizontal, etc. There are no streaks or unevenness to the color, which is beautiful, slightly iridescent and fairly true to the sample on Amazon. The paint stuck to glass without any problems and has dried to a hard finish. The effect is quite lovely and adds depth to the tank. When the fish & the tank decorations are added, it isn't immediately noticeable that the back is painted at all. I couldn't be happier with this product and give it a well-deserved 5 stars.

I bought it without reviewing the measurements. It's super tiny, and I don't think it's really worth the money. If you are looking for something tiny, then this is for you. It is really cute, but not really worth it in my opinion.

I received my ImpressArt Stamping Kit promptly and well packaged as always with this seller. I love the little hammer which I would have purchased separately if it had not been in this kit. The stamps are of good quality although the imprint size is a lot smaller than I expected. I would have preferred a larger size but I suppose that is the nature of this font.

I absolutely must have a drafting brush for all of my graphite and colored pencil work. I was working on a graphite piece Wednesday and lost my freakin' drafting brush!! I have had a few over the years but this one had always interested me so I got it Amazon Prime and paid for Saturday delivery and I was most certainly not disappointed. I think it works better than the average drafting brush, possibly because of the softness, it feels like the goat-hair hake brush that I used to use. The only downside is that my cat thinks it's her friend and tries to groom it but I can deal with that. If you've been wondering about this, give it a go, it is different but it works better and it is more gentle.

I use this for pencil drawing. The goat hair is very soft & full. Perfectly sweeps eraser residues. The wood handle feels very nice in the hand, and the overall design is well weighted, and the bristles well set. Its a pleasure to use. The hanging hole is useful. It's fantastic for the price!

Very soft, well made, should last forever. Made in Germany. A better solution for the tops of books and computer keyboards than a vacuum since it's quite attractive and can be left out, thus will be used frequently. Wood is varnished, hanging hole, bristles well seated. I don't know if I'd have taken a chance on this at the full price, but having seen it, it was well worth the original price.

I've had one of these brushes in my art studio for a number of years. It's ideal for many purposes. I use it to lightly dust dry-to-the-touch, in-progress oil paintings as well as regular maintenance dusting of finished hanging pieces of artwork. It also works wonderfully for cleaning graphite drawing surfaces from erasure debris. And after sanding paperclay and porcelain sculptures, the brush offers just the right amount of softness of bristles for removing sanding dust without marring the underlying surface.

Rather than ferry my studio brush all over the house, I ordered a second one to use for cleaning dust from computer screens and keyboards as well as other intricate or delicate household items.

While this is my favorite brush for a number of purposes, I do notice that it sheds the occasional bristle. Considering that my first series 2485 studio brush was bought at an art store for about $45, this current price on Amazon is excellent.

This series 2485 brush is made of white goat hair and is considerably softer than another of da Vinci's dusting brushes that I have, series 2486, which is made of horsehair. The handle is made of natural lacquered wood with a hanging hole. I've threaded a narrow strip of leather through the hole in order to hang the brushes in convenient storage spots without disfiguring the soft bristles.

This bristle on this this brush is shedding a lot. The brush is very soft and is really cute. I like the handle as well, perfect for my small hand but the bristle is shedding a lot. I have to return this one.

I am sorry to report that the bad reviews were accurate: The paint does not stick well to the plastic and peels off after drying, also some of the paint colors were dry and unusable.

Since the paint was not working too well, we tried markers but they did not work either.

In short, the idea of painting bugs is so cool that I bought the product even after reading some of the bad reviews. These guys need to improve the product quality, and find compatible paints or make the bugs with a different material.

Don't waste your $ if you're interested in the painting part of these bugs. We were so excited for thismy 4yo son was bouncing around dying to paint his bugsuntil we started and the paint wouldn't stick! We tried the paint included, tried washing and drying the bugs, sanding them with very fine sandpaper and finally just globbing the paint on. It was very frustrating to a 4 year old and his mom.

I was very excited to buy a few of these sets for summer activities and now I will not.

On a whim, I decided to get this set after hesitation. I just needed something to paint for the fun of it. Lesson learned: Don't use standard acrylic paint. The paint provided is a little more flexible but not enough for the legs and wings. The vinyl is too flexible and standard acrylic paint will crack. I learned that the hard way with two of the insects I painted. On the remaining insects, I tried an experiment. One painted with a fabric paint as a base coat and the others I used a multi-purpose sealer before painting (brand Americana).

Tulip Soft fabric paint works the best out of what I tried. Sticks to the vinyl and bends with it. I can bend the praying mantis and animate its limbs without worry. Other fabric paints seem to stick okay, though I can't say how well it will put up to heavy play. Applying the sealer also helped the paint stick. I wouldn't recommend painting this set without it.

Other paints to consider:

Liquitex high viscosity (Warning: Some pigments are not suitable for children in this line. These are artist grade paints.)

Americana Gloss enamels: I haven't used this yet on the paint and play set, but I have tested it on other things and found it to be flexible and secure.

About the rating: I knocked it down for quality. I noticed even in the gift shop I got it, there was a set missing part of a leg and there seems to be some variation in how well molded some of these are. I also had to file off some epoxy glue on the legs and areas it shouldn't be. Overall I can't say if this would be a problem for a child or not, but I'm fairly sure the butterfly will be quite a challenge and a possible mess to paint if the child wants to paint both the under and upper side of the wings. I'd recommend breaking that into two painting sessions. Educational value can be as much as you want. To make it more educational, try having your child look up real insect species and base them off those species. You can even encourage them to learn about each species they paint.

Please see photo examples in the product page. Also edited to add: Forget the brush... That goes without saying. I left that at the gift shop and used my own brushes.

American Crafts Cartridge Paper Trimmer Review

I was really excited when I saw this in a magazine ad and then even more excited when I found it here on Amazon. I got it fairly quickly by UPS, and when I opened it, it was a little big bigger than I had "pictured" it to be in my mind. Okay, I can deal with a bigger trimmer. I guess I didn't fully read the description (I thought it came with 7 blades...it doesn't; only three, but there is a place to add 4 more.) Okay, no big deal, it has the basic cutting blades, I can deal with that. My major disappointment came when I used the product. It doesn't cut very well. Now, maybe I just need to practice some more and maybe it is just a "user issue," but I have to run the blade over a couple times to get a cut, and then it doesn't make a "clean" cut. I am a "rotary-cutter-only" kind of gal, and have used many types of these, but this one just doesn't make the grade for the price point that it is. Sorry to write a negative review, but others should be aware of the issues that I have experienced. On the plus side, the cutting blades change out very easily, and it is very heavy duty; just doesn't cut very cleanly.

I was excited to try out this trimmer because the ads claimed that the blades could be changed easily & safely... but was worried after reading multiple reviews that said it doesn't make clean cuts.

Decided to get it anyway and I'm glad I did... it took 3 or 4 tries to get the hang of it, but it DOES make clean cuts.

You have to press down on the slider & keep it pressed down throughout the entire cut. This is because the blades are completely enclosed in the cartridges for safe handling. So, in order to make a cut, the blade needs to be pushed down out of the cartridge. You don't have to press hard but you do have to press down for the entire cut, or else the blade won't be available for the entire cut.

Giving it 4 stars because I really like how the blades are enclosed (safe to handle) & easy to swap, and the trimmer works as designed. However, it's not my favorite trimmer. It's not the most user-friendly trimmer for straight cuts but it's great for the other cuts (wave, scallop, pinking, etc)

I hope you don't need to make any 6.5 inch cuts with this, as there's no line marker. The green part of the board ends just past 6" and doesn't start again until just before 7. I believe the exact stop and start is 6.25 and 6.875, but if you (like me) make a lot of 5x7 cards and want to make layers, you will not enjoy this cutter.

I also have a hard time getting a perfectly straight cut. It's not that the clamping bar wobbles, but the blade runner does. If you can dedicate a solid surface to this beast of a cutter, and stand to cut while making a firm, single push with your arm, you will enjoy this cutter.

I find myself reaching for the Cutterpede whose arm I've taped back together (and bought this to replace!) 9 times out of 10.

When i first got the pen, i followed the directions and let it air dry. I made some coffee mugs and when put in the dishwaher all the paint fell off. After doing some research online, i found better instructions on "dickblick" website on how to use. They recommend baking it in the oven, i tried that next and finally got the paint to stay on. Wish it had come with better instructions. Also, the paint would rub off (like a dry erase board) if you kept painting over the same spot, it has to dry before you can do a second coat. Hope this helps!

I purchased this pen for creating personalized mugs for Christmas presents this year and let me say, this works so well. I created my design on a test mug to get an idea of the flow and pressure needed and from that experience, I've learned that the ink pours our very quickly. Also don't make any fast movements are the ink will splatter all over.

I let my mugs dry for 3 days, then placed them in the oven at 150 for 45 minutes and they came out perfect.

I was a bit skeptical at first about this airbrush because I've never really been impressed with anything I've tried from Badger. However, after reading a lot of rave reviews and videos about the Krome, I thought it might be worth a try. Well I must say the Krome is awesome!!! I own a few Iwatas and for less money this brush easily out performs my Iwata HP-CS for detail and atomization. In my opinion, it performs similar to my HP-C+ or my HP-BH Hi-Line. It has a nice soild feel to it, the trigger action is very smooth and light (you can adjust the tension to your liking), it's comfortable to hold and well balanced, the spray pattern is very fine not grainy and it works very well at low pressures (10-12 psi). It doesn't come with any lube unfortunately so I would recommend you get some Super Lube or Regdab needle juice. Get one! You won't be dissappointed!

I don't have a super amount of knowledge with airbrushes. I've owned 3, 2 Testors Azteks and the Badger Krome. The Azteks are great brushes, double action. My first was the clear blue model, the plastic is brittle and doesn't take well to big hands fiddling with removing the side cups. It lasted about 5 model kits. Next I bought the grey resin Aztek, after a few model kits it stopped shooting just air when you push the trigger down, went straight to paint. I had seen a number of reviews on the Krome and it looked great; .2 and .3 somethings nozzles and a needle stop function. So I decided to go for it. I did not go wrong. The trigger is soooo much smoother than the Aztek, the 'just air' ability rocks. Cleaning is a bit more than the Aztek. With several removable color cups, I could switch out colors in half the time than the Krome. And the rear mounted air hose I miss from the Aztek. However, the needle stop function is awesome, no more worrying about pulling the trigger back too far (will come in handy on those mottling camo colored Luftwaffe models). The Trigger 'feels' better to my finger, the tension is there but not overpowering (I can adjust that too with the Krome). I use Lacquer thinner for cleaning the cup, nozzle, and needle, and it comes out beautiful. The .2 nozzle will clog if you don't thin right using acrylics Use the .3, I guess that's what other suggest. I started use lacquer thinner for my acrylics and it works so much better (smelly yes, but BETTER). The .3 nozzle I haven't used yet. The hard case is ok, I use it for holding my extra parts. It's a nice case though.

So for about $120 US, I feel you can't go wrong. I would suggest it to anyone looking for an airbrush. Now I just wish I had a better compressor.

I always gravitated to my Iwata airbrushes (I have hp-c, hp-c plus, hp-sb, eclipse hp-bcs) However I started to hear good things about Badger's Krome so I decided to give it a try and boy the things I heard were right.
