This pen is so multi purpose for crafts & more....I love it! It dries much more quickly than others I have used & the colors are long-lived. I purchased for scrapbooking, but have used it on sewing projects as well! Love it!

Reviews of Viva Decor .8-Ounce Pearl Color Pen, Ice White
This little pen is such a great decorating tool. I love that you can make your own decorative pearls of pretty much any size. You need to let it dry for about 15 minutes before touching and let it cure overnight before stacking. This little pen goes a looonnnng way. It saves trying to pull tiny adhesive backed pearl dots and trying to place them without them sticking to your fingers. I especially love the light blue for beach layouts and the pearl white is my most used. A handy tip is that if you choose, you may create pearl dots on wax paper and let dry to peel and use at a later date.

Discount Plaid 28677 Letter Stencil Value Pack, 5-Inch Cursive Upper Case
The product is well made and useable, but the end result wasn't what we were looking for. The letters are too rounded and not readable when applied. The font is the reason we believe.

These are quite nice for stenciling; wish lower case was included... also shorter letters. I like variety in lettering, so with my others, these are a good addition.Honest reviews on Plaid 28677 Letter Stencil Value Pack, 5-Inch Cursive Upper Case
Wasn't expecting much here but was pleasantly surprised at the packaging and quality of the stencils. They're a heavy card stock paper so I won't be able to get them wet with paint over and over, but for tracing they're wonderful. Pretty font too, and taller than most others for the price.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Plaid 28677 Letter Stencil Value Pack, 5-Inch Cursive Upper Case

8" (20cm) Knitter's Pride Cubics Double Pointed Knitting Needles Review
I've tried a variety of double-pointed needles, most of which I didn't really like that much. These are among my all-time favorites. They are easy to hold onto and manipulate, and they have the perfect point--sharp enough to easily pick up stitches with but not so sharp that you feel you're stabbing yourself when you have to push on the tip with a finger. They are laminated, so the surface is smooth, and the yarn glides across them, which is a benefit unless you're using a slick, silky yarn like rayon or silk in which case you might need a needle made of something with a bit more grab.
One of the reasons I wanted to try square needles is that they're said to give you much more uniform stitches. I found that to be true. They are also easy to use without tightly grasping the needles--also true. This means that you can relax a little more when you're knitting. I've read various reviews on square needles arguing that you need to go up a size or down a size to get the right gauge with them. I haven't done a scientific test yet, but my first impression is that my gauge is about right. I think your gauge will depend on whether you relax and hold the needles loosely, which you can with these needles, or knit the usual way.
As if all of this were not enough, these are really beautiful needles. The wood is gorgeous and enjoyable to look at, and the needles feel light without being too lightweight and flimsy. I love the feel of the wood, too. For me, these needles are just about perfect. The only complaint I have is that the markings indicating needle size are so faint that they will soon be gone, and then I'm not sure how I'll size them if they get separated from their packaging. As far as I know, no one has yet come up with a needle sizer for square needles. I would suggest either taking great care to make sure they get back into their packaging each time or finding a more durable way to mark the sizes on them. Other than that, I love these needles and will be buying lots more.

Discount Royal & Langnickel Painting by Numbers Adult Large Art Activity
I chose this rating because of all the colors that were included, and copy of the painting I could practice, It also shows I can combined two colors...Its challenge that I am looking forward doing plus the price was not badThis is the worst paint-by-number I have ever used. They want you to mix the colors but don't give you enough of the paint to mix all the different shades. Mixing is not the problem, the amount of paint is. Also, the picture shown is not what you get. The colors are not even close. I understand that you are supposed to detail it yourself, but this doesn't even come close! I'm thoroughly disgusted with this and ready to throw it in the trash. I will NEVER buy one of their products again! The cover picture wasn't even painted with the same paints. They are water based paint and not thick enough to cover the numbers on the canvas! If you were to pile it on to cover the numbers, you wouldn't have enough paint to finish half the picture. The paint brush separated from the wooden handle upon first use; and they're supposed to be a BRUSH company. Like I said, you get what you pay for. I painted The Last Supper paint by number (I think it was Dimensions brand) when I was 10 years old. It came with oil paints, it was wonderful, turned out great for a 10 year old. I'm now over 40, so I've tried a lot of different brands. I have three kids, so we've tried several over the years. I have never come across as crappy a paint by number as this one. I would actually have bought a more expensive one, (probably by Dimensions), but the store I was shopping at didn't carry the more expensive brand. Like I said, save your money, because this wasn't even relaxing, I feel like I wasted my time and I haven't even finished half the painting.

Review of Crayola Marker Maker
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program This is a great set for younger children. My daughter is 9 years old and was so excited to get this. She had a blast for over an hour playing around making markers and concocting colors and she still has plenty to make.
What you get is a nicely made and completely contained kit that folds open for use and folds up to carry and store. Then you get parts for making 16 markers including the nib, tube, foam insert, end cap and cap. There are three ink bottles and two mixing tubes. There is a mixing chart as well to use as a guide but you can also create your own color combinations. Coming up with fun color names adds to the creativity.
My daughter had a blast making her own markers, labeling them and writing with them. She especially liked watching the ink wick up the foam insert and nib.
I like how they are self contained, there is very little chance of making a big mess and parental involvement includes just basic supervision.
Refills are available Crayola Marker Refill Pack and will make the kit last longer. I'm not sure what would happen if you added more ink to an existing marker once it runs out but there is plenty of ink left over.
***UPDATE*** I have to comment on pricing. Retail is usually around $20-25. I've seen it lower at other stores and I actually purchased an additional kit yesterday to keep as a gift and it was in the low teens. It is worth checking back periodically to see what the price is since it has fluctuated as much as $17 in a day.***
The reality was, this was a fun project, the markers works just as well as store bought markers (same construction) and the mess was minimal as I was the one who poured the ink.
Is there opportunity to make a giant inky mess? Yes, but that pretty much comes with the territory with any ink/paint project. By me doing the project with the kids, there was virtually zero mess and also very little clean up. Just be sure to do this project on a space that isn't harmed by washable marker ink. (Unfinished wood floors, upholstery, etc.)
After figuring out where everything went, the project just zipped along. The most confusing aspect was the marker parts onboard storage, which ended up being unnecessary as we went through the entire kit in one sitting. A few details about the kit:
* Makes 16 markers.
* Includes two cardboard marker holders (8 per box) that can be colored and labeled with the child's name. Works great with two kids or less.
* Very easy to measure the ink, and assemble to the markers.
* Included inks are Red, Yellow, Blue which means you basically get markers of those colors plus shades of green, orange, and purple. Would be nice to have some variety, but it's also plenty to fill a child's box with 8 unique colors.
* Plenty of ink to make a variety of colors also allowing for a child's preference of certain shades. E.g. if a child's favorite color is blue, you won't run out of blue ink if you make more than a couple different blues, though you will if you try to make 8 different blue markers.
* Maker casings are clear so you can see you custom colors pretty neat, and included stickers to label them doesn't entirely cover the housing. A smart decision in my humble opinion.
If I had a gripe, it's that with only three base ink colors, you are somewhat limited in the number of shades you can get from the set. Still what you do get is a great start to making your markers own and hopefully there are refill sets that expand on the number of colors you can make.
In the end my 7yo daughter said this is the best Crayola project we have done together. In summary, if your children like coloring with markers AND enjoying making things/doing projects, I would highly recommend this set.
Though, the Marker Maker has a downside to it. The refills and the Marker Maker itself are overpriced compared to just buying a pack of markers.
I would recommend that since the apparatus has a messy personality there should be parental supervision when it is in use.
Considering all of this I would give the Crayola Marker Maker a 6 1/2 out of 10.

Best Deals for Crayola Marker Maker
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program My 5-year old niece LOVED creating her own markers! Kids 8 and up may not need an adult to help, but under that and an adult may need to help squeeze the ink for the child. Otherwise, children can do most everything else themselves. It's easy to use, and surprisingly not too messy at all. The ink is not washable, so you'll want to put newspaper down just in case the ink drips. Kids can learn about colors in a fresh and unique way. They can mix their own colors with a helpful chart or try their own. Plus, they can create labels on each marker to name their colors whatever they wish. And when supplies are low, you can purchase additional ink or markers separately as needed. The wait time for ink to soak into the marker is only a couple minutes.Honest reviews on Crayola Marker Maker

The Crayola Marker Maker is fun for kids in so many ways. It comes with all the parts of the regular Crayola marker and more: enough ink to fill all the markers they give you and a card that tells you how to make a variety of colors. The marker comes with an all new improvement: it's now see-through to see if you made the color you wanted and to show you how much ink is left in the marker.Though, the Marker Maker has a downside to it. The refills and the Marker Maker itself are overpriced compared to just buying a pack of markers.

Review of Fiskars 01-001049 Eyelet Punch Setter
Customer Ratings:
List Price: $13.00
Sale Price: $11.79

I got this primarily to punch holes in projects with because it could be used anywhere on a piece of paper.
It's probably one of the most used tools in my paper craft collection now. Inside the spring are two rods, one on each end. When you set the hole or the eyelet holding one end in place on the project you're working on, you pull up the other end and just let it drop. That causes the rods to hit each other and either punches the hole or sets the eyelet.
I do expect quality from Fiskars, but the simple design of this tool and how well it works impresses me. I've used the punch on 3mm laminate, on rubber (bicycle tire inner tubes) and of course on paper and card stock. It punches a nice clean hole almost every time. On laminate sometimes I need to trim part of the hole.
I never much used the eyelet end, but working with the recycled tire inner tubes sometimes I want to set an eyelet. I decided to try this out. It works so much nicer than the hammer/eyelet setter I was using. I can set the eyelet in place, hold the eyelet setter on it, and use my other hand to pull up the top of this. It's easy enough to get the setting perfectly centered without feeling like I need a 3rd hand for a hammer. Even with the heavier eyelets I use for the rubber (I use the sort used in leather crafting) it splits the eyelet neatly and sets it in place.
Update as of Jan. 30, 2012: The tip of this tool eventually got dull, and I now just use a normal metal old-school style hole punch that has a special small 1/8" tip, so it creates the same size hole as the fiskars tool...

While I love the ease of use of this tool, the cutting tip has lost its edge (pun intended). The tool does not come with a cutting mat, so I merely have used a piece of metal as the base. The tip has gotten very dull, and I have to now buy a new cutting tool, while the setting end is just fine. It's so easy to use that I can watch TV and passively punch holes into 300 gram paper, which are my product's hangtags. I use a straight pin to clear the cutting tool, which will get clogged with paper every 10+ punches.Update as of Jan. 30, 2012: The tip of this tool eventually got dull, and I now just use a normal metal old-school style hole punch that has a special small 1/8" tip, so it creates the same size hole as the fiskars tool...

Buy Pebeo Porcelaine 150 China Paint Bullet Tip Marker, Anthracite Black
When i first got the pen, i followed the directions and let it air dry. I made some coffee mugs and when put in the dishwaher all the paint fell off. After doing some research online, i found better instructions on "dickblick" website on how to use. They recommend baking it in the oven, i tried that next and finally got the paint to stay on. Wish it had come with better instructions. Also, the paint would rub off (like a dry erase board) if you kept painting over the same spot, it has to dry before you can do a second coat. Hope this helps!
I let my mugs dry for 3 days, then placed them in the oven at 150 for 45 minutes and they came out perfect.

I purchased this pen for creating personalized mugs for Christmas presents this year and let me say, this works so well. I created my design on a test mug to get an idea of the flow and pressure needed and from that experience, I've learned that the ink pours our very quickly. Also don't make any fast movements are the ink will splatter all over.I let my mugs dry for 3 days, then placed them in the oven at 150 for 45 minutes and they came out perfect.

I absolutely love these tiny pliers. I mainly make chainmaille and find that the tiny size is perfect for working with smaller rings and in tight spaces. I use them more often than my larger pliers.
