I want to start by saying they're not BAD paints by any means! They look great mixed with Golden Soft Gel (Gloss) but they just aren't professional grade, which is what the line is claiming to be (based on the price tag). The paints look good, but "high pigment load" is going overboard. Moderate, yes. I just don't feel these are as vibrant as other professional paints. They're a nice "in-between" student and professional grade, just not for the price they want.

I'd shopped in my local art store for these paints and the prices were really high. My husband doesn't paint a lot but his acrylics were really, really old and I wanted a new set. These are nice big tubes and should last a while. They come in a cardboard box so if you want a nice artist storage box you'll need that separately. The same paints are much more expensive locally and these are not a Chinese knockoff.

It gives you a tube of all the major colors and you can get bigger tubes of any colors that you tend to use a lot.
