Hi, I also wanted to know the dimensions. From the Derwent website I found the following information. Note the measurements at the bottom 9 1/2 by 7 by 1 1/2. I didn't know how to rate it, since I have not bought one yet.

the first picture shows an entirely different Derwent pencil set--the coloursoft collection. It is unclear which item is being sold the one that is in the title or the one pictured. There are no dimensions included in the product description to indicate the size of the item--though in the only customer review it is mentioned that it could be thrown into a backpack? seller needs to improve photo of product to correctly indicate the product for sale and include more information in the description. THE ACTUAL PRODUCT MADE BY DERWENT IS A GREAT PRODUCTI checked it out at my local art and hobby store. However I gave one star for the sellers poor and misleading advertisement! Amazon should look into this and make the proper corrections.

Good metal letters for creating in regular clay or polymer clay. A coating of a spray oil (like Pam) helps as a release agent. The only issue is getting them back into the case it is a fun puzzle.

I bought these markers forever ago for a fraction of the price. If I made more, I'd buy them again at this price. My set is still going strong, though I need to replace a few of more more often used colors. The markers have beautiful lay down. They blend beautifully. They're easy to use. The colors are vibrant, but have a nice translucence. The flesh tones included are fabulous. I recommend picking up a complimentary set in grey, though. The two included are nice, but not enough. You'll also need to get a colorless blender, though I usually use a pale grey for that.

Great for kitchen crafts, would work well for kids crafts or at home use. So far Ive done three mugs and a bowl and had a lot of fun with it drawing paper airplanes, words etc.. At times, the ink is a little hard to get going, or else it will start leaking.. I wouldn't recommend it if you are looking for specific detail to re-sell products. It generally gets you the hand-drawn (but creative!) effect. Ive baked them all in the oven to make them permanent, as per instructions, and taken care in hand-washing the wares, but with the bowl (my first attempt) parts of the drawing have already started to chip off! Overall its a fun crafting addition and my friends have been impressed, but I don't know if I'd buy this specific marker again.

I spent about two hours shaking and depressing the tip trying to get the paint to come out before I finally gave up. The most that ever came was a faintly black tinted liquid. Returned, no questions asked. Glad Amazon has great service!

I bought two of these pens to decorate new plates and bowls with. One I never could get to work and the other worked well on a couple of plates and then started having issues. I tore apart the tip and cleaned all the parts with nail polish remover and got it to work again. Unfortunately it only worked on one more plate. I did not want to purchase another one just to try and finish the rest of the plates.

Of all the porcelain markers I've used, this runs the least and is easy to clean if a mistake is made. It was also nice to be able to create dishwasher safe creations by letting the marker set and then baking the items (I decorated coffee mugs).

Rainbow Face Painting Kit

I ordered two of these kits: one for a church-sponsored school festival and one for me to use at home with my grandson.

The idea book is fun and clear. It does, however, contain some ideas that can't be done unless one either modifies the ideas or purchases further product.

The kit, as-is, was adequate for a full afternoon of face-painting, at the festival, with supplies left over. We did restrict the children to simple cheek painting rather than full faces, but it would have had enough supplies for a good number of full-face treatments as well.

Using my grandson as a "guinea pig," I discovered that the paints held up well, cleaned off easily at the proper time and caused no skin irritation.

All in all, I was quite pleased with this kit.

I am a professional artist and so have been asked countless times to do face painting at various events. Of course, I always say YES, and then have to wonder about what kind of paint they'll have. After using so many different kinds, this is the ONLY brand/type of face paint I would recommend for using with children. It dries nicely and is water-soluble so it doesn't smear like many of the grease based paints. This paint is much easier to use for any amount of detail as one layer can be painted over another. It dries fast and doesn't require a powder coat to 'set' the colors. It is pretty sweat resistant. I use a sponge applicator to put on large areas, and regular cheap paintbrushes for smaller areas. From a hygienic standpoint, I feel that using brushes that you can rinse between kids/colors probably reduces the spread of sweat/crud/questionables over the use of paint sticks. This paint comes off very easily with regular soap and water, or you can use a little baby lotion and a cotton square. I bought this set along with another larger set and I take them with me when asked to paint faces, partly because I really like the paint, and partly because the greasy stuff they usually have makes my painting look crappy :) These are also fun for kids to use to paint each other's faces with minimal mess.

The painting guide includes great designs with easy to follow instructions. However, the kit does not include Silver Glitter Gel that is used with most of the examples in the book. It definitely requires mixing of colors to make pastels. The Book gives you some great ideas to get started. The paint does not smudge like the cream face paint. Cream Face Paint is easier to apply, but the quality for this one is much better. Only 4 star because it does not include the Silver Glitter Gel.

Bought this kit for fun. We have used it countless times. Easy to apply, washed off pretty easy. Only complaint is that the book that comes in it shows how to do some great faces, but you need colors that don't come in the kit. The kids got annoyed a lot because of that.

Maybe I'm spoiled but the first face painting kit I bought was from Klutz which included a 6-palette color from Wolfe Brothers FX. I thought those colors were really good, but now that I have ordered Snazaroo, I know I had it REALLY good. Wolfe Brothers FX was highly pigmented, easier to apply and much higher quality paints than Snazaroo. Even the paintbrush that came with the kit was much higher quality. Snazaroo applies on streaky, uneven and with barely there colors which looks and feels like regular watercolor rather than face paint. Snazaroo cannot come close to the quality of Wolfe Brothers. It's like comparing Walmart to Nordstrom in quality, which wouldn't be so bad if the respective prices reflected it too. Unfortunately, Snazaroo cost almost if not just as much as Wolfe Bros. Well now I know.

I use gel markers in coloring dover coloring books, there are many sets available, however this set better than most. The metal case is overkill but the range of colors, smoothest of ink flo is very good. I can't give it a higher rating because the amount of different colors is very misleading, it has two of almost every color plus it is mostly gliter and neon colors. Marker performance gets it the high mark, very smooth, all but one color worked well right out of the can.

I was a little nervous ordering these I've had a lot of gel pens stop working after just a few uses. When I got them I tested each one to see the different colors I was some what disappointed on the flow of ink, but when I went to use the pens to color some detailed pictures I was VERY PLEASED the pens must have warmed up, they work great. I really like the glitter pens, very pretty. I don't use the pens to write just to color and I really like them. The tin storage case is very flimsy, but I wasn't planning on using it anyway.

i adore these pens! there are some who say there are not truly 52 different colors. each color is different even if same hue family.

the glitters rock! show up a lot better than i expected. all of the colors are great if you are wanting to experiment with new tones. i like mixing mediums, so these are great for that too.

When I first tried to take the caps off, it ended with a few (about 5) pens breaking because it was impossible to remove the caps! Clearly a cheaply made product, but the pens work great when the caps finally gave.

I purchased this Christmas Bells runner along with the Christmas Bells napkins because they sounded like a set. The runner Does NOT have bells on it. The package says it is Christmas bells but when you open it, holly is what you have. The napkins are not cross stitch while the runner is cross stitch. They do not go together.

My artsy 7yr old loves this fingerprint stamp set. I was a little surprised to find there were no real examples included to showcase some of the different pictures you can create. I thought it would come with a little booklet of some kind, but it doesn't. And it would be nice to have one more ink pad included... only 3 come with the set so you may want to buy extra ink pads. And be aware the item is not large, nice for a stocking stuffer though. All in all, I am pleased with the purchase. My daughter really enjoys it and it's a unique item.

This product is very hard to see the "his & hers" iron-on...at first was very upset and emailed the company to tell them, then they told me to hold it in front of a mirror and it would be there that it is very hard to see! We used this to make impressions of my six month old's hands and feet. We were able to imprint both hands and one foot, as well as write her name and date in the frame. The clay is soft and pliable and a lovely pale pink. 2 words of caution: 1) take your time when you're working the clay into the frame, as it picks up imprints from whatever touches it and 2) to get a really clear imprint, you do have to press the baby's hand in, so it may not work well for newborn's hands (feet would probably be no problem). Our oven did not have a low enough setting to follow the instructions, but we baked it at 175 degrees (f) and had no problems. It looks so good, I'm thinking of buying one for each grandparent!

Five years ago I bought this product at Walmart for my daughter, and I still have it. I had purchased one that you had to add water, and that was a mess, I dont even want to talk about it, but this one...This one was awesome. It was soo easy, and it I got it wrong I could always re-knead it and do it again. Then just pop it in the oven, and Wa-lah! I bought more for my other kids, and will keep buying and recommending this product. This is a great product. The only thing you have to do when you take out the clay is knead it before you actually spread it. Dont pop it out of the plastic and instantly spread it on the frame.

Pretty colors. Texture on the front is frustrating for certain types of decorating. I do Zentangle which is drawing so I flip the card around inside out and make the smooth side into the front cover of the card. It still has texture, but not nearly as much. I will probably not order these again for Zentangle.

I bought there kinds of oil pastel from Amazon to compare them. The other two were Pentel Arts Oil Pastels, 50 Color Set (PHN-50) and Loew-Cornell Oil Pastels, 60-Pack. The other two sets have about half the stick volume per stick as these and do not have a uniform a texture. These are the best buy of the three. I usually use a more expensive brand from Jerry's Art but because these are harder they sometimes come in handy.
