We used this to make impressions of my six month old's hands and feet. We were able to imprint both hands and one foot, as well as write her name and date in the frame. The clay is soft and pliable and a lovely pale pink. 2 words of caution: 1) take your time when you're working the clay into the frame, as it picks up imprints from whatever touches it and 2) to get a really clear imprint, you do have to press the baby's hand in, so it may not work well for newborn's hands (feet would probably be no problem). Our oven did not have a low enough setting to follow the instructions, but we baked it at 175 degrees (f) and had no problems. It looks so good, I'm thinking of buying one for each grandparent!

I was looking for a gift for my husbands birthday as he has anything and everything LOL I knew I wanted to make him a craft with our daughter so she could give it to him. I found this perfect clay set and was able to let my little one assist in making it. We used her foot print and placed a recent pic of her in there and wrapped it up for her daddy. Five years ago I bought this product at Walmart for my daughter, and I still have it. I had purchased one that you had to add water, and that was a mess, I dont even want to talk about it, but this one...This one was awesome. It was soo easy, and it I got it wrong I could always re-knead it and do it again. Then just pop it in the oven, and Wa-lah! I bought more for my other kids, and will keep buying and recommending this product. This is a great product. The only thing you have to do when you take out the clay is knead it before you actually spread it. Dont pop it out of the plastic and instantly spread it on the frame.

if it was just a little bigger we could have done her print in mine, mine in daddy's, but one hand, one foot (from a 2 week old baby) plus her name and the date fit beautifully!
