okay set simply because it contains a rounded hook style cable needle, which is my personal preference. It contains a longer version but is slightly narrower and also the straight version with the bump in the middle that I frankly find a bit disfunctional. Bought these out of desperation because I couldn't find in the stores at the time I needed them. Like having a few extras but there is really only one needle that I guarantee I will use....will see what my future needs will bring with the others.

I bought these with my Derwent Inktense Pencils. The pencils need water to turn permanent into ink. I color with the pencils, and then apply the water. The waterbrush is almost like using a pencil. I can control where I want the water to go. This is very important in keeping the water in one area. You can buy different size waterbrushes if you want a bigger or smaller tip.

Definitely the best little travel item I've found in awhile! I carry this water filled brush with a 4x6 sketchbook and a couple of watercolor crayons, and can record impressions of a scene quickly. Best, they all fit into my purse easily. I have two sizes--they're great!

I highly recommend these in all sizes! As I carry watercolor crayons and use them almost exclusively in my artwork these brushes are perfect for me. These brushes can be refilled from any water source, whether it be from the kiddie pool, the hose or that water bottle we all find ourselves schlepping most days. They allow excellent control and awesome portablility. You can take them anywhere, be it the beach or a hike to the top of Cadillac Mountain to see the sunrise over Bar Habor, Maine and capture the beautiful morning colors. You just clear the tip with a simple squeeze of water and a blot on the back of your hand or a clean cloth (depending on what you have available). No more dirty water spilling all over from trying to clean all the paint out your brushheads. I feel you also have more control over the amount of water you work with too. If you want more water, just squeeze the brush. I did notice that with dark colors like black and brown,the bristles did become permanently stained, but that has not effected projects with any castoff.

If this is the only water brush you can get, then it is better than no water brush at all. It is hard to squeeze the barrel and the tips of the brush wear out very quickly. The Pentel is superior in every way.

maybe I received a bum one -but as I work, the pen leaks from the sides where it screws together. I imagine this would be a great item to have but I can only use it as a regular brush unfilled in order to avoid spills.

These were purchased as a gift for my daughter who is the artist in the family. She had been begging for them for some time, and I now see why.

I was initially skeptical as I thought that "pencils are pencils". Upon receiving them however, my daughter was quick to draw me a picture with them. The difference between this and the drawing with "normal" colored pencils was dramatic. The colors were sharper, the lines smoother, and they didn't have any of the raggedness that the normal pencils left on the page.

In addition, these last longer. The "lead" holds it's point longer, and they just feel like better quality than what you can get at a big box store.

It would be nice if they weren't quite so expensive, but as I said in the title you do get what you pay for.

I would recommend these to anyone who draws or (like me) has an artist in the family.

The pencils are good, creamy and bright, with decent color selection (having two each of white & black is great), though I would have preferred a greater range of darker purples instead of, like, five light ones and a ruddy violet; a true indigo (blue-purple) and a medium purple would've been nice. I say "true indigo" because there *is* a pencil called "Indigo," but it's really only a dark blue, no purple involved. Premier is better in consistency and brilliancy, but these are a good stand-in for those who can't afford them, and Scholar is so so much better than Crayola & Artist's Loft (would not recommend Artist's Loft to a child—if you really want cheap colored pencils, go for Crayola), which is what I'd been stuck with before.

My set only had 59 pencils—missing "Orchid"—but it wasn't too much of a loss, as it would've just been another light purple. The packaging leaves much to be desired, though, as it's supposed to be able to prop up for easy access to the front & back rows, but the plastic edge is slippery and won't stand on its own—not unless you want to risk it falling over unexpectedly and damaging the pencils. All in all, I like them, and they were much cheaper online, which is a huge plus. They're a good sampling set to figure out which colors you actually use, so when upgrading to Premier, you can invest in singular pencils and not waste money on a full set.

The color options are great. The pencils just leave a waxy finish which would be fine if I wasn't rendering things for clients now that I'm done with school. Just save your money and buy the actual Prismacolor Pencils first than you won't have to buy them later.

This is for my son for Christmas. He has done a lot of research and these were his pencils of choice. However, as mentioned in other reviews, the packaging of these "expensive" pencils is absolutely terrible. My pencils were not contained at all in the flimsy plastic case the manufacturer uses as shown in the picture. Instead, they're rolling all around inside the box that Amazon uses for packaging. I don't feel this is an Amazon issue, the problem rest with the manufacturer. Can't believe they sell this product in such a lackluster package. Good golly if Crayola can figure it out with their cheap products, surely the manufacturer of a higher end product could come up with something better than this. Here's hoping the lead inside the pencils are not damaged.

Received the product very quickly but it was very poorly packaged. It was an order fulfilled by amazon and it probably was the worst packaging I have ever received from them. All the pencils were out of the flimsy plastic case, rattling in the box with three air pillows for company. One pencil had the point broken. You'll probably think "gee, one out of sixty" but it won't be until my niece uses the pencils that we'll be able to tell if there's internal damage. I have not tested for quality of pigmentation or any other coloring feature but I don't expect any issue. The cost was very reasonable, but we'll see.

The tips are nice and pointy, without hurting the finger I use to push a purl stitch through. The wood is just grabby enough to let me use acrylics; perhaps a bit too grabby for wool. The colors are gorgeous, but seem to fade with use. The cables are flexible enough to use for Magic Loop.

This INCA GOLD color is not found in any other brand. I have tried them all. It is a lighter, coppery (not red copper, light gold copper) color. The others brands do not have anything even close. It is a metallic gold that highlights better because it is so light gold, not the darker ones that almost look brown. It's hard to describe but if you highlight paintings or crafting, try this color. I find this brand is good too all-around, cheaper at Walmart then on Amazon but it is HARD to find this color at stores!

I was really excited to get my sketch pens in the mail. I was planning on using the silver pen on my wedding invitations. The pens worked great! They drew a smooth line and the metallic colors are glittery and shiny. The only problem is the amount of ink in each pen. I was only able to draw 25 invitations with one pen. I wish they had more ink, or would at least let me buy only the silver pen instead of the whole pack. Overall, the pens were great, but not for a large job.

I really love the look of these pens but it can be frustrating when you're trying to use them to create a background effect and certain parts don't come out right. I find they are best used for shorter sentiments, ex. "happy birthday" "love, so and so" etc. When it comes out right it looks really great!

I love the way these pens look--that is, when they actually decide to work. They will stop and start intermittently, usually starting clean and then fading by the end. And to top it off, I can get maybe three to four prints out of a pen before it stops working altogether. Either they clog or the manufacturer puts an incredibly small amount of actual ink in each pen. Either way, not worth the high cost.

I've been looking all over for a suitable replacement, something that can print on dark paper, to little luck. I really wish these pens would just work the way they're supposed to.

I was very unhappy with these pens. They left a thin pale line of inkas if the pens were running dry already. I did a double cut and even then it was still very thin, but usable. The ink got used up after a few small designs, and the pen is ready for the garbage! Also the colors were totally not as shown on the pen cap. Great idea but bad quality! Very disappointing!

I tried them out when I got them and am very happy with the outcome. They clean off easily and they work well. I hate paying for face painting when we go to carnivals and fairs. I decided that instead of paying for some stranger to paint my kids' faces, for the same cost I could purchase a book and some paint and do it myself. I bought Klutz Face Painting Book Kit. It came with some high quality paints and a book that walks you through some simple designs. These additional paint brushes are helpful in doing the more intricate designs. I'm not sure they are any different than brushes you might purchase down the street at the local art supply store, but I do recommend having multiple sized brushes when doing face painting.

This package is actually very cute, with 6 valentine card appropriate colors and the mini heart size is just perfect for cute embellishment. The red, purple and white are perfect. However the tourmaline, kunzite, and coral pink are not so because they have tiny red specks/stains on the surface. It looks like the colors weren't mixed well before being transferred to the sheets. It will be a non issue for some but I expect high standard from this line of product.

These markers are expensive, yes. These markers are awesome in the hand, yes. These markers will make you draw better, no...but you won't be able to blame the markers. If you are reading this review, then you have probably read all of the other 5-star reviews so there is nothing new for me to say than buy them. You already know how awesome they are, you are just on the fence because they are expensive. This is no different than investing is a great, balanced, sharp, chef's knife. the right tool makes the job easier and produces superior results in the right hand.

These markers are smooth and the ink flows well nice and evenly. To properly use these markers, the ink should penetrate the paper, which may require multiple passes. Other markers layer the ink, so multiple passes will make the ink look darker; not these. Multiple passes may be required to get the true color, depending on the medium you are drawing on. Putting the ink on thick will not "darken" the color, but give you a true, streak free, color.

Results are worth the money.

First, let me tell you this company shipped this product lightening fast!!! Good customer service, QUALITY of the product is good, tears easily, sticks nicely to paper crafts.

However, I ordered this one from all the choices to order from due to the specific colors. But 2 of the 8 colors were OFF .. And the exact two I needed the most. I do understand its a computer screen .. Colors can be off ... But the other 6 were spot on. So much so I had to research if I even received the one I ordered.

The company was gracious and refunded the item without answering my questions, so I'm still not sure why the colors differed. However, due their rapid shipping and response to query, I feel 4 stars over 3 is warranted.

I used 3 cans on a small chair and barely had enough to finish, but I think that's because I over-sprayed some areas. My biggest complaint is the spray nozzle. First, it drips and really makes a mess. Second, it is the most uncomfortable nozzle ever made. The lever on the front is too small and has a protruding end that poked into my finger. It hurt so much I had to stop spraying. I tried to cover it with a rag but finally had to pad my finger and wrap it with tape just press the lever. I painted an off white chair using the sage green spray. I thought I had good coverage when I was done but as it dried it has begun to show uneven light areas. The chair doesn't feel painted and it doesn't smell like paint. It could be a great product with better instructions and definitely a better constructed nozzle.

A) 4 sheets of premium vinyl (9-inch by 24-inch of black, white, dark pink, leaf green): it would have been nice if it had more lengthy samples, but then again it's a starter pack.

B) 10-feet of premium transfer paper: nice to have for future projects as well

C) Silhouette hook & Silhouette scraper: These are pretty handy tools when working with vinyl, the hook will help you get those "negative" vinyl out of the way before applying transfer paper. And the scrapper helps you have the vinyl in its right place without air bubbles, it's not exceptionally required though as you can use any credit card like card for the same purpose, it's nice to have though :)

D) Exclusive download card good for 10 vinyl designs: This one entitles you to download 10 free vinyl designs, with text messages, house shape, frame shapes, a train, a tree branch and a couple more..

E) Idea booklet: This is a couple f pages that gives you the general idea, but you can find more resources online

I bought this kit after purchasing the new Silhouette Cameo. I am a novice when it comes to vinyl. There was a lot of trial and error in the beginning with cutting depth. I have found that the Silhouette Vinyl is of much better quality than what I have found at hobby stores. My kit came with black, soft pink, and a lime green vinyl rolls. The transfer tape is very good compared to others I have used. I recommend buying this as it is a great deal and far less expensive than purchasing everything separately.

Not too much in the package, some vinyl, a DVD I have yet to watch, pretty much what I expected. Except...wait a minute...Mine was missing the scraper! Thus begins my tale of woe....errr..wait a minute. or not. Usually these experiences leave me annoyed, and frustrated. Often its "spend more money then its worth to ship x to us, prove your identity, and include a hair sample". Not here.

I emailed customer service to inform them I had 2 hooks, but no scraper thingy. Response "hey no problem send us you address and name, and serial number and we will ship one out. One problem-my came machine isn't here yet, so no serial number. I told them I would email it to them when it arrived.

So yeah normally thats...wait and wait, then send the serial number when you get your machine, then wait some more right? Nah, these guys said, "ah skip that then, just your name and addy and we will take care of you". i suspect they looked up my serial number from that since my machine was still in the mail.

This is what buying a product should feel like. When they mess up they take care of it.

I'm not incredibly talented at crafting, and the Silhouette was a splurge. I've been dipping my toes into the possibilities of the cutting machine and finally purchased this starter kit. If the price is right, the kit is a great value one can probably determine this by looking at the price for a hook, scraper, a full size roll of transfer paper and adding it together. There are "sample" pieces of 4 colors of vinyl, but not full rolls.

The demonstration video is borderline useless. I had to watch a few videos on YouTube to really get a feel for how things work. My first vinyl project turned out flawless (maybe because I read/re-read the instructions multiple times and watched other videos). I'm really excited to come up with new vinyl projects.

Two more points: (1) I think some crafters don't believe the "scraper" tool is worth buying, but I disagree. Although it is just a piece of molded plastic, I get much better results with it than an old credit card it is more sturdy and fits in your hand better. (2) This one is silly, but perhaps some users can relate: I like the box it came in. My office/scrapbook room/junk room gets pretty cluttered and these starter kit boxes are great to keep your Silhouette stuffs organized.

I have had nothing but fun with this machine thus far. Made some really cute things. The machine is so easy to use and with the optional software (that is VERY reasonably priced) I have been able to make my own designs. My daughters wedding is upcoming and we have some really neat things planned. I highly recommend this over the Cricut.
