350F-9 is what I ordered and was disappointed with the substitution of a Badger 250. The 350F is a great unit and I have one and wanted another. Seller offered to rebate in lieu of correct airbrush unit. Be wary.

My daughter enjoyed the paints and the roller, but the plastic tray is so flimsy that it bends and breaks immediately. Also, there is not a lot of paint in each little paint cup. The apron/smock is of such thin and flimsy material that it's a joke. Don't waste your money.

I had to write a review after reading the only other one on here. My son got this for Christmas a few months before he turned three and we've used it many times in the 6 months since. It's always a big hit! The plastic tray is slightly flimsy, but it's held up with my rough and tumble three-year old boy and multiple washings. He loves blue, so that paint is getting a little low, but I plan on just refilling the little container because it's so handy having it all together. It think it's a great set for not a lot of money.

I bought this set for my daughter when she was 3 1/2 years old. In the 8 or 9 months since i bought it, she has made great use of it and has had a lot of fun. However, the build quality is terrible. The tray is a joke, made of cheap thin plastic that bends and breaks at the seams. The apron makes the tray look like it's good quality. I don't expect it to last much longer. it's a shame, such a great idea executed so poorly.

As for the cost, I bought it at a local toy store for more than amazon, but I don't think even the amazon price is a good deal for this quality.

I bought these for their short bristles, to use on fabric. I assumed they were the same length as standard stencil brushes, 6", so I expected the diameter of the large brush to be about 3/4". Instead the large brush is is just over 4" long and the diameter is less than 1/2". The small brushes are only of use if one is trying to paint a very small area. Also, the handles are quite short and could be tiring for those with large hands.

The large brush did a good job on my project and I can recommend the quality of the product. However, I think the photo should show the scale more accurately. I didn't even think of checking the specs because stencil brushes tend to be 6" long.

Which can only be a good thing, since they are intended to be used with Shiva PaintStiks (which are sticks of oil paint, that provide a very firm creamy paint once you peel the dried "skin" off the stick). I have not used these yet, but I have used my PaintStiks directly onto fabric, and know that I need something to help me blend the colors! I tried other brushes I had around, and they were all too soft, or too large (yep, I tried an unused big boar bristle brush, like you might use to clean your cars tires or scrub canvas... it was stiff enough, but it was too huge to do the blending I wanted).

I'm looking forward to using these on some fabric that I intend to make a purse with.

These brushes arrived fast and were perfect for the small, detailed stencil I used. I even, accidentally, let the paint dry on them one night and was able to recover them with rubbing alcohol the next day -they were never quite the same, but the bristles didn't fall out like on some other cheap brushes.

These brushes are just the right bristle height and has the right amount of stiffness when working with Shiva Painstiks. I tried using craft store stencil brushes where usually the bristles are too long, and then I would have to cut them, or they were too soft and were not good for blending. These brushes are great for applying large areas of color, blending and when using and edge can give fine lines.

The description says that this is a multi-purpose cutting tool, however it is a multi-purpose heating tool that can cut plastics and stencils. Not exactly what I was expecting. The quality is good, the storage case is very nice, and the versatility is much better than the hot fix applicator tool.

I am a professional artist and I work in oils. I have used a variety of detail brushes of a wide range of quality and material. When it comes down to it, they all lose their shape over time no matter how careful you are with them the better brushes just last longer and have much finer points.

This set gives me 8 usable brushes for the cost of one really good brush and with a lot of care they have held up remarkably well. I find that for oil painting, all but the two longer bristled brushes are stiff enough to hold paint but flexible enough to be manipulated with control. The short handles are nice for me because I initially bought them for a compact, portable painting setup. The bristle tips haven't "chunked out" the way that cheap stiff bristle brushes do, creating an undesirable saw edge, and after 6 months of steady use have not lost any bristles (of course, I am careful not to wash them in warm/hot water, too).

As far as oil painting goes (and assuming the quality I received is the same with every set ordered) these are pretty decent brushes for your average painter or for beginners, and perfectly fine for professionals who don't need ultra-fine line work but still need to get into detailed areas and not worry about going through as many expensive detail brushes in the process.

I use these brushes for modeling. They are of decent quality for the price and do the trick for me. I havent had these brushes lose hair while painting but they have lost their shape quite a bit after approximately 20 uses. But like I said, for the price they are about what I expected. I'm going to be springing for some higher quality replacements soon.

I paint D&D figures and warhammer 40k figures, and its really hard to find a good lot of DETAIL brushes for a good price. At my local craft store, brushes of this quality are about 6 to 10 dollars A PIECE! Talk about insane. This bundle was a great value for me and the brushes are VERY NICE quality. Smooth strokes, good fibers or hair (looks like real hair to me. :D) and all the brushes are actually weighted very nicely. Deffinately feels like quality and paints like it as well! These are very good budget brush set. When I got them, there were two brushes that looked bad but I decided not to return them because these were minor problems. I only used three brushes and they worked fine. I have no complaints about they brushes. There good for the average person who wants to have some fun painting detailed things. Highly reccomended.

Like many of us who work with watercolors, I couldn't resist buying yet more paints, even though I hardly need them, and trying a brand that's new to me. And I'm glad I did for I love these paints! Only time will tell how lightfast they are, but my first impression is that Blockx watercolors are on a par in terms of quality with my two favorite brands, Winsor & Newton and M. Graham.

I own a similarly sized set of Winsor & Newton half pans and the tins are almost but not quite identical, but the Blockx half pans seem moister and creamier from the get go than I remember the W&N being when I first got that set. (And I'm talking about top of the line W&N, not their Cotman budget brand.) Coverage is just as good as what I get with W&N and M. Graham, and all the colors lay down smooth (on Arches 140 lb. rough and cold-pressed watercolor paper).

After getting this set I decided it would be convenient to have all my W&N pans and Blockx pans in a single container, so I bought an empty KREMER PIGMENTS Watercolor Box and put them all in there, and when doing that I discovered that the Blockx half pans are slightly larger than the W&N half pans (as you can see in a photo I posted on the product page for the Kremer box).

I really like the Payne's Grey that's included in this set, as that color has for some reason been a favorite watercolor color of mine since I was in my late teens over 40 years ago (and this is the first time I've used anything other than W&N Payne's Grey from tubes). I wish expensive watercolor pan sets didn't include Ivory Black, which is included with this set as well as my W&N set, because it's not a color I use much and I suspect many watercolorists don't use black all that much. But comparing the Blockx Ivory Black with the Ivory Black half pan in my older W&N set, I find the Blockx Ivory Black creamier and richer looking. (And so I put the Blockx Ivory Black in my Kremer box and left the W&N black out, which gave me room to put a full pan from another, budget brand set.)

Blockx has a nice website that's well worth visiting. Otherwise it can be difficult to find reviews of their colors, though there is a long review at the wonderful, incredibly information packed watercolor section of handprint dot com. (To find the review of Blockx watecolors there, go to handprint dot com, click on the color wheel icon on the upper right, which takes you to the watercolor section, then click on paints, then watercolor brands, and finally Blockx.) The review, written in 2008, is not entirely positive (and it led to an exchange of emails between the reviewer and Jacques Blockx which are documented at handprint), but nothing in it discouraged me from wanting to try Blockx watercolors, and I am very glad that I purchased this set.

I hope to add some Blockx tube colors to my collection eventually.

We use these pencils at school with my students. The colored pencils are nice, but then wet the drawing, and it's like magic! We 'paint' the water on with brushes. You need quite a bit of color on the paper, not just a light line of color, or you'll be disappointed.

I carry markers, and paper, with me wherever I go so I can draw at the drop of a hat. It matters in my work.

I prefer things like Prisamcolor, but they are a pretty big marker to carry around. All pen-sized markers I find have odd colors, limited selection, weird tips (no more brushes, please), poor ink, etc.

These are great. In every way. The dual tips are almost perfect sizes. A narrow writing end, and a weirdly shaped blunt end I had qualms about but in fact is the best thing ever. Like how you wish a Sharpie worked when not sharp, but it never does. The ink is the best part though. It's real, archival level ink. Never fades, never soaks or spreads, just goes where you put it with full saturation. And don't even talk to me about the colors of things like Sharpie. That's not black, these are black. And the colors are lovely and very saturated.

Until they are discontinued, this will be my go-to marker and my most suggested one for everything that does not require a permanent marker.

ZIG pens are really wonderful. The colors are clean and clear. The nibs keep their points. There is very little drag. I would recommend these to anyone.

Excellent precision made tool. I repaired shoes as a teenager and used items like this frequently and resigned myself to think this product will not be as good as the commercial tools I used in shoe repair, but these were just as good. I have done probably 6 feet of stitching with these and they will cut through 3/16 inch quality leather without difficulty.
