Apoxie Sculpt is fabulous. It is odorless and nontoxic, and it sticks anything to anything, permanently. After 24 hours (or probably less) Apoxie Sculpt cures to amazing hardness, and can then be sanded, drilled, etc. It stays workable for a long time (but not the 2 to 3 hours claimed) and can be smoothed out with water and other tools. It's easy to add a texture to it, and it can be used with molds. It is paintable when dry. Buy the small size and try it for yourself.

This stuff is great for sculpting. You don't have to cook or fire it, and it only takes a few hours at most to dry completely hard. If you need longer working time, you can mix in a few drops of water to hold off the drying process a little longer. It's inexpensive, durable, re workable, waterproof when dry and non toxic. It doesn't crack or shrink, It doesn't stink or stain your hands, it's non-porous and solid, and each of the 2 compounds comes in a plastic jar so you don't risk it drying out while you work, and there's no messy storing in saran wrap or plastic bags to deal with.

I bought this to customize Breyer model horses, and I love it. It gets a little sticky, so I recomment buying a little bottle of the safety solvent to use while you work (it's not expensive, and goes a long way)

You can mix this even three parts A, B and that flesh colored Super Sculpey (don't go more than a third part) for longer working time and less sticky. It will have to cure overnight, and takes a little more work to stick it to another surface if you do this but hardens just fine.

Boy, do I wish I had watched the user video more carefully before I bought this punch. I bought another shape of Fiskars "everywhere punch" before I learned that you need the starter kit to cut ANY shape. Now I am stuck with two of these miserable punches, which Fiskars will not allow me to return. Details: neither punch produces a usable shaped embellishment. They only produce HOLES of that shape, and only do a semi-accurate job of guiding you to the spot where you want the hole. If you want the hole close to the edge of your paper (or to another hole), the cut ends up raggedy and uneven and impossible to overlay to correct it with a second effort. And it does take effort--I have to stand to get enough pressure to punch it all the way through. The three-pronged magnets poke a messy, lumpy trio of tears in your punched shape so you can't even cover the cutout piece with another paper shape or embellishment in order to use it. What a waste of paper! Plus you get "shavings" from these 3 holes all over your worktable and clothes. Crafters would be better off purchasing a hand-held punch or even using a pencil and exacto knife to get the holes where they want them. I have other Fiskars tools that I like, but they really need to dump this fiasco from their line and go back to the drawing board.

It would be better if this cartridge was packaged with a base unit so that you didn't need to also buy the "starter kit". This is clearly stated on the package, but it forces you to buy a punch shape you may not want and the total cost starts to creep up. This punch works very well for exactly what it is described as, to punch windows. I did two practice punches to get a feel for how it lines up and how much pressure was needed, and was all set to go. I agree with other reviewers that it would be very nice if you could reuse the chads, and it would be better if the packaging made it very clear that you can not. Also, the packaging was difficult to open without ruining the instructions on the back. Ultimately I ended up getting a box cutter and cutting around the plastic to removed the components in order to retain the instructions in tact.

Keep in mind you have to have the starter kit as this is not a stand alone piece. As I reviewed on the starter kit, it took a bit to figure out the pieces and process, but once I did this product is durable. If you have strength issues, this tool may not be for you as it takes a bit of strength to push the top piece thru to the paper. The shapes are a great idea thou, and I did like you can punch these shapes out anywhere on the paper.

I have used this punch and the starter set for one scrapbook a trip to Hawaii. I plan to use it again for the Washington DC book I plan to create. It is very easy to work and having the ability to make patterns anywhere on the paper vs just on the sides is a great benefit. I just wish that the piece that was punched out could be used.

The design is cute, but because the stamps are round they are harder to hang on to when you hit them with the hammer. This makes the design shallow when it's stamped in the metal and harder to ink. not worth the money.

I was worried that for the price I paid, I would receive flimsy broken brushes... however these are fantastic! I ordered two sets and am sure they will last me for years to come.

I looked through several different brush sets, such as MASH Professional 15 piece Nail Art Brush Kit Set, Debra Lynn Professional 6 piece Nail Art Set but the first option had way too many brushes for me and the second had some fairly poor reviews -much like many of the other brush sets. This one had great reviews but I did notice that the seller shipped from Hong Kong and was worried it would take far too long for it to reach me, or even get lost. I got them in about two weeks (1 week before the estimated delivery date) and this was definitely worth the wait. They arrived padded between protective styrofoam and each of the brushes came covered in a protective cap (with the exception of the two fan brushes) in a soft plastic pocket w/ flap lid.

SO glad I grabbed these! I've used the fine brushes a few times now for some nail art and they work perfectly. I use nail polish remover and a cotton pad to clean them and they work brilliantly every time.

This is the 2nd review for one order that these brushes were included in and the same as the previous one for the first set of brushes. The brushes were shipped in a bubble wrap packet and the seller took the time to wrap the individual packets (2) of brushes in extra bubble wrap to doubly protect the brushes from damage in shipping. I especially appreciate the extra effort the seller went to, protecting my brushes since I'm an artist and the condition of my brushes is critical in using them for my paintings. I had the idea of nail art brushes in order to paint tiny details in faces and such in my paintings....these brushes have met my hopes tremendously...I am so thrilled with what I am able to do with these brushes in my paintings! These brushes are perfect for designing! So many to use, and they don't feel flimsy or cheap. They come starched though, so make sure you rinse them gently to get the bristles soft again. Never leave polish in the brush, and clean it with NON ACETONE SOLUTIONS to keep bristles soft. Acetone will dissolve the glue holding the strands to the brush and destroy it, while also making it dry and brittle. I recommend keeping an old dish towel handy when designing to wipe off excess polish before cleaning.

The Janome Binder Foot works great and saves lots of time and frustration when adding bias tape binding. The video on Janome's site is very helpful in learning how to use the foot and there are also some videos on You Tube that are helpful. I used a zig-zag stitch to sew the binding. You can also use a straight stitch. This foot worked on straight as well as curve edges. You do need to go slow on curved edges. I would definitely recommend if you are attaching single fold binding.

These work so well! I bought some washable paint and filled these not quite to the fill line (which is very low on the container) and they have not spilled even with a 2 yr old. They also have kept the paint wet for an entire month so far and I have been slacking in taking out the brushes and keeping the lids closed. I really love them and I have 4 kids ages 5, 5, 4 and 2. If they work for me they will work for you.

I love these paint cups. Unfortunately, we learned the hard way not to leave them with paint in them for long periods of time to store. I suppose it wouldn't be so bad if they were for constant use, but ours dried out after we stored them away for a couple of months while we were gearing up to move. When they were in regular use (no less than once a week) we didn't have a problem. They're plenty big, so you can really fill them up with paint, which means not having to constantly refill them.

The paint cups were easy enough for my son to open and close himself (which might be a warning to parents here as he was able to do this at two). The opening for the brush was wide enough that my son could easily manage getting the brushes in and out without making a royal mess. He dropped them a couple of times and we had no problems with spills. I'm really impressed with these little paint cups and how well designed and convenient these are for young children. Our son was never allowed to paint unattended, but he loved the feeling of independence he got from being able to do it all by himself. I've tried a lot of art supplies with my older two, but these paint cups are my favorite. We'll be replacing them again after our next move in 6 months when we don't have to worry about paint drying into them again.

These match up with the Crayola Washable Kids Paint set of 10 Bottles (2 fl oz/59mL), though there is no black, so we just put the pink in the container for the black, which my son was okay with.

Hard to spill the paint, but would never fill it anywhere near full since the paint still manages to dry out, even with lids closed tight. Debatable whether cleaning these after each use is better than just cleaning the occasional spill from my preschoolers, but at least it keeps the colors separate.

I seen projects using this Spellbinders and they look beautiful, so I decided to buy them to create my own cards. I find that the die templates do not cut that easy and I found myself passing it thru the Big Shot multiple times. It's not as easy to use as I thought but nevertheless I like them a lot.

Be prepared to practice until you get the hand of it.

Bought for 2 year old thinking this was an alternative to play dough. It was ruined within a month and I sent it back for a refund. Might be good for older kids that want to make something to keep long term but not good for the little ones that use it daily.

This is one of many Copic marker sets and individual pens I own and use. For those considering a purchase, here are the pros and cons (IMHO):

Cons:

High up front cost probably far too high for the occasional user.

Results and colors vary based on the paper you use. I have not been totally happy with anything but dedicated marker paper.

Pros:

For the professional or heavy user, these markers are a great value, as the nibs are replaceable and they can be refilled for a fraction of the cost of a new marker. Some retail and online stores will refill the markers for a fee ($1.00 at a shop near my own home).

The alcohol-based ink allows you to blend the colors and manipulate the final result in interesting ways. On marker paper they look incredibly smooth.

The markers can be used with the Copic airbrushing system (it's no Paasche, but there's no cleanup, either).

You can actually mix your own colors using refill inks and empty markers (which are sold as such).

Great assortment of stock colors, with new releases every year.

Prices vary from store to store by over two dollars per pen, so shop around.

Copic Ciao series markers are identical in most ways (same ink type, same replaceable nibs, same refills) except they are smaller, hold less ink, and come in fewer colors. But they're a little cheaper if you're looking to reduce your initial cost.

Guess this is the so-called top of the line markers.

I got the skin tone set from my friend on my Bday last year, fall in love with then, then decided to buy the sky and sea set myself. The markers works exceptionally well with Copic marker paper/pad, or other paper with smooth surface. I am still hesitate on my decision of buying the 72A set because of the price. But since the markers are refillable, I would consider it a good investment as long as I have the cash at hand.

i love copic markers. i own about 60-70 now and the possibilities are endless. i love paper crafting and drawing and these offer great oppertunities to shade/blend colors in a seamlessly easy way. sometimes they can be bought a little cheaper on other sites so shop around. also be sure to store them flat not upright as the ink stays more uniform that way and keeps both nibs moist.
