I am always amazed that some rugged pants like work jeans and cargo pants come with sewn on plastic closure buttons. Normal wear and tear means these buttons crack and fall off (sometimes when it's least convenient). These tack buttons provide a strong fastener that's easy to apply and looks good doing it.

Included tool works well. Instructions are clear. Make sure you have a strong, flat surface to whack the button in place.

Work as advertised and look really good. Use them to replace poorly sewn buttons on Levi's shorts. They fall off, you end up losing them and good luck finding a replacement. These really fit the bill. AAA+++!!!.

I just recently bought this to "paint" a lot of glass bottles that I got at the local thrift store since I'm a collector of colored glass bottles. I prefer collecting real colored glass, i.e., cobalt glass, or red glass (which are my favorites) or yellow and even green glass. However, those items are either not being manufactured any more or are way too expensive. Since most of "colored" glass that is now being produced is actually "painted" or coated with a type of glass paint, I thought I'd try making my own since the ones I've bought in the past have had the "Paint" flake off, which annoyed me greatly since they seem to be charging as much for them as what I used to pay for REAL colored glass.

Anyhow, the product is as advertised. It is transparent and it does look like what you buy at the local stores. Cleanup is easy with soap and water. You can either use the nozzle on the bottle or a brush, but if you use a brush you need to use a soft watercolor-type brush to avoid a streaked look. (But don't use real expensive watercolor brushes!) The paint seems to go on easier if you use a brush, although you do get that gloppy, gloupy drippy look. So that's the positive aspects of this product.

The negative side: I did not like the fact that the product has a "nozzle" (sort of like what superglue has) instead of a "mini brush" on the end. I found that using the nozzle to paint on round bottles was a bit difficult. The paint tends to run and drip. I tried using it with a brush, and so long as you continue to paint the object without going back over where you have already painted, it's fine. I unfortunately discovered that if you go back over an area already painted before it dried completely, the previous area lifts up and so the object does not have a smooth glass-like finish, but has "lumps" and "bumps" which is clearly noticeable. If you're going for an "imitation" colored glass look, like I was, this is not a good thing.

Also, there was no instructions with this sample kit as to how long I should wait between coats, or whether I needed to heat treat it in an oven to "set" the color. There is another manufacturer (with much more expensive paint) which requires you to heat treat it and then it's microwave and dishwasher safe. For my purposes, since these bottles will probably never be washed or microwaved, I didn't care and this was really only an experiment to see if painting bottles with this product would allow me to "imitate" the look of real colored glass.

I also intend to experiment with using this glass stain to "paint" a scene on glass, so stay tuned to this "station" for further updates about this product as I experiment some more. :)

Maybe I was not using it the way it was intended, but I found it too runny to work with the way I wanted. The colors are beautiful and bright, and the bottles are easy to use. If the item were leaded and flat they would be perfect. Not what I was using them for.

I purchased this product to do a computer case mod on a clear acrylic case. It adheres fine to the material and the color is bright, clear, and a nice accent to the clear fans as I variegated red, yellow, and orange on the blades. The kit comes with yellow too, a plus since yellow isn't in the picture, so I didn't expect to get it. Light shows through it very nicely. It's like a cathedral glass effect. It adheres to transparency material as well, and I'm painting manga art for the sides of the computer.

I was looking to stain my globes for my oil lamps to match my living room and they can out perfect! It dries quickly so you have to work fast and also I think that if you are doing a project similar to mine, I would use a brush also.

This set is one of the best out there! I cannot believe that more people have haven't reviewed this. The letters may be simple but that's their power. They stamp cleanly on anything including permanent ink on acrylic paint. This can be used for traditional stamping of cards, etc. But they also work for art journals and scrapbooking. They would also be great with kids because they are so simple. You really can't go wrong with this alphabet. Amazon sells the number set as well.

These letters provide good service in that they are not so prone to leave an edge (although you can manage it if you try) and are very crisp. I like the font and use these quite often.

My wife knits nearly 24/7 and complains about the texture of metal and plastic needles all the time. She uses bamboo for the most part, but those can be hard to find. She has always wanted a good wooden set but she could never find the will to splurge on them. I bought these as an early anniversary gift and she LOVED them. I'm not a knitter and I know jack about needles, but the wood seems study and the sizes are all clearly marked on the knobs at the ends. The case is fantastic and really adds a touch of class to the set. I just hope this set means that there won't be a mess of needles in my living room anymore, but that's probably asking too much.

They're not the quality that the crochet hooks were. They're not as highly polished. They had rough areas I had to remove; felt like tiny beads of varnish. One knittting needle was broken, but not all the way; like a shaved area that will break eventually and soon if I keep using it. I found it when it snagged the yarn on the project I am working on. Disappointed. I ordered a separate set of the 10-1/2s from another manufacturer.

It is a great product. Good selection of colors and decent quality. Note this is a student grade which is fine for a beginner but if you are a professional you probably want something finer. I got this personally because I wanted to start oil painting and I made my first oil painting using this set. One important thing to note is that the white seems to go really fast! So best to get a nice big tube of titanium white with your paints (200 ml tube would be good choice). Other than that this is a terrific product. I bought two of these because of the price and they are working out just fine. I will try to add a picture of my first oil painting to show you how the colors look.

I went to Michael's to buy oil paints. I have never painted with oil paints before and really wanted to give it a try to paint some of my drawings, but i am 17 and broke and the cheapest one was $8 (the size of one of the paints in this package) i was discouraged then went online to find some affordable ones. I found these and was excited at how affordable they were so i went ahead and ordered them. I ordered them on Sunday and received them today, Thursday, i was so happy when i got home a few hours ago to a package on my porch. I opened the package and saw 12 decent sized paint tubes and (gasp) they had turquoise, my favorite color in the universe, i fell in love. I had a small canvas laying around and decided to test them out and was very pleased, i have never used oils before so i have no basis for comparison but they seemed very high quality and looked simply amazing. I will be buying again when I run out.

I was so excited when I got this in the mail. The colors are lovely and so much fun to bring my drawings to life. It is a great perk to motivate me to draw more often and improve my sketching skills. You will get a feel of how to use them, it also helps to search youtube for some demos on how to shade with them and other lovely effects. This is a great set if you are new to professional quality markers. You to find out which shades you like and use the most and can order them in bigger sizes. The only thing is that there isn't a great skin color marker, like if i wanted to give a character light to medium skin, or especially ivory skin there isn't really one. The lightest is sort of a creamy pinkish/peachy one. Other than that I love them. I wish they could be just a bit cheaper, but they were worth it.

I'm an art student, and I've been needing my own set of gouache for a while now. I never got any because they're so expensive (a small pack of 6 colors is $10, even at a discount store). But this set is an amazing value good-quality student paints at an unbeatable price. They arrived in the original packing (not the same packaging as in the picture, but same brand and product presumably a more recent design), sealed with plastic. All 24 tubes were there, and they're a decent size. The paint is smooth and was clearly stored well. The colors blend quite nicely. I look forward to using these for my work, and I can't wait to buy again when I run out!

Not much to say about this product. It's gouache. Its pigment is a bit weak compared to the more expensive counterpart, but if you're under a tight budget and/or need this for school, then this would be the perfect set for you.

Roughly $12 dollars for 24 tubes of Gouache, you have to consider why the price is so cheap at 50 cents per tube. The truth is, you get what you pay for.

I brought this set originally to due quick environment studies. The colors when coming out of the tubes looks pretty at first however, the truth happens after the gouache dries! The colors are very dull and lack a vibrance to them after it dries. It can be disappointing and discouraging when you feel you have mixed a beautiful color and it changes drastically when it dries. The texture to the gouache is a bit grainy and the colors do not apply evenly (Not good for washes). It's funny that they give you 24 colors but due to the low quality pigmentation, mixing them doesn't give you more colors as you think you would.

Keep in mind though, for the price, it's as good as it gets.

I would not recommend this set. It's a waste of your time and water/gouache paper.

I personally would recommend Winsor Newton's Gouache introductory set. It may seem a bit much but the texture is very smooth and a little bit goes a long way. If you start with the introductory set, there's only 6 tubes, but they mix very well into a great range of colors as they are highly pigmented.

Bottom line: You get what you pay for. Paints in general are about pigments.

I recently started using this product professionally (having switched from marker) and it achieves the desired effect: brilliant, even, opaque, matte color. It is also easy to lay down and to mix colors. The price of high end gouache always put me off at $10/tube. This is not only a bargain, it's an absolute steal at this price if you want a wide variety of colors. Michaels sells a 16 12 ml.tube set for $14.99.

I bought this as a short term replacement for my old Wacom tablet. The drivers didn't work with Windows 8. With Windows 8 the shortcuts didn't work but I didn't want to use them anyways. It will get the job done if you are crudely drawing, but for serious artists, look elsewhere.

The tablets only setting is to "scale to Screen" essentially. I have a 22in monitor, so you can see the proportions are drastically off making natural drawing almost impossible.

It works. That is about all I can say, but don't expect much.

For those quilters familiar with the "54-40 or fight" block (when combined with "shoo fly" block, it makes a spectacular quilt), this tool is indispensable. I've been wanting to make this very challenging quilt by cutting my fabric pieces the traditional way--measuring and making my own templates--very tedious, very hard to be precise. With the Tri-Recs tool, the pieces were so much easier to cut. I gave it a 4-star rating because the package did not have instructions that should be easy enough for a beginner quilter to understand. I would recommend this tool, which has so many triangle-unit possibilities, to anybody.
