What you see on the Amazon info. page is technically correct.... There are 8 cards, four each of the 2 designs shown in the picture. But each rectangle pictured is NOT the front of a folded card, which measures 5-7/8 x 4-1/8 inches. Each rectangle is the full sheet of card stock, which is folded to create a note card with those dimensions, & which fits into the envelopes included. For example, look at the rectangle on the left, the one with the large blue iris. The card is folded on a vertical line down the middle. The left edge of the blue iris is near the lefthand fold of the card. The big white hydrangea is in the center of the front image. If you cover the left half of the rectangle, what is visible is the front of the card. The covered half is the back of the folded card.
The 2 lovely images of Chinese 18th-century works of art are all there; they are just FOLDED IN HALF! Half of each is on the front of a card, & half is on the back of that card. I wonder whether other Caspari blank note cards have similarly misleading photos.... Now I think I understand the picture for the following:
Caspari Cards Flowers, Butterfly, and DragonflyBox of Eight Note Cards and Envelopes
With my newfound knowledge, I believe the small red rectangle is a picture of a card folded, & the large green rectangle is the other card design before it was folded. Who knew?

Hero Arts Woodblock Stamp Set, Messages From Your Teacher Review
I thought that they'd be bigger but it's fine. The 2.5"X1"X3.2" that they give means the entire set is that big. The "Homework" stamp is 1.5" (long) X1" (tall) X3/4" (wide) and all the others are 3/4" X 3/4" X 1". The print on the stamp labels are colored, not black as pictured, but since the stamp is whatever color you use, it's really irrelevant. Stamp set comes in a little plastic box. The stamps are indeed deeply cut so they should make a good impression. I got these for a friend of mine who's a first year teacher to-be, so I haven't used them myself. My only concern is that some of the letters will run together since they're so close together on the stamp itself.
Told them good job would be a b/c and great work an A, on early grades I gave them. Easy and clear.
They liked the clarity.

Reviews of Quilting Fabric Honey Bun Roll 20 1.5" Wide Quilt Strips Pos/Neg
I received very good service with the order of this fabric, but the fabric itself feels a bit thin, more like craft weight than good quality quilt weight. As I wanted quilt weight, I was a bit disappointed. But I will let my granddaughters use it for practice sewing if they wish.

Cheap Royal & Langnickel Essentials Sketching Pencil Set, 12-Piece
I like this pencil set because it has just the pencils--so may sets include extras like erasers and sharpeners, which I already have in abundance. The pencils are of high quality. They don't break when I sharpen them the way so many cheaper pencils do. I also like the key on the front of the box that shows each pencil's effect. Very good artist's pencil set in a nifty little plastic holder.

Great for the price.
Would like a sturdier packaging-not plastic interior, but the pencils themselves are great.

Everything that comes with this kit is nice and perfectly usable except the wire cutters and snips. The tips of the wire cutters are nicked and dull after ONE DAY of use on thin jewelry wire, and I have yet to successfully cut anything with the snips.
Pros: Nice case. I'll probably keep using the case as I replace tools that wear out. Good for travel. The 2 pairs of pliers are fine, mid-to-low-quality pliers. You don't really need much more from round-nose pliers, so I imagine they'll last the longest. The little drawer things are nice, and pretty convenient.
Cons: Tools are made of soft metal, so cutting surfaces wear extremely quickly. It would have been nice if a metal file were included. There's even an extra hoop for one.

The rounding tool is the best quality. The pliers are a rough finish so they will mar your metal. The wire cutter doesn't cut that great. I actually use an angled nail clipper to cut the wire. So, personally, I would purchase more quality tools separately and in stainless steel. If you do buy the set, coat your pliers with tool magic or just put electrical tape on the inside surface so it doesn't dig into your metal. Good luck.Best Deals for Beadalon 7-Piece Tool Kit Zip Pouch, Econo

When I bought The Beadalon 7 peice tool kit no where in the description did it say that I was buying a used kit...When I opened my kit the first time I was disappointed to see that all of the tools were dirty and had strange smudges and finger prints all over them. Their were even a few random hairs stuck on the tools. Who ever previously owned this kit tried to re wrap the pliers in plastic. Inside of the plastic was an smelly oily mess and the wire cutting pliers shows signs of HARD use. I am never one to write a bad review but I really thought anyone thinking of purchasing one of these kits should know what they are in for. Even the insignia on the outside is dirty...Friday, November 21, 2014

Review of 24 Shimmering Fabric Paint Pens
I purchased these to write on sweatshirts and tee shirts for my young relatives. I plan to let my granddaughter decorate her own tops. Like it is mentioned, you have to be careful of air bubbles. That said, I had no problems writing out names with them. There were no instructions included with mine, so I don't really know how long to let the paint dry, before I test out how they hold out when washed. The package of pens I received were labelled Oriental Trading. Pleased with the color assortments and the duplicates offered.

I had to help my daughter make stars for her halloween costume and the colors were perfect. There are doubles of all colors and it's a bonus if you run out of any one color. Need a little practice with squeezing the tubes but works great otherwise.Best Deals for 24 Shimmering Fabric Paint Pens
They work ok, not that great. But the really annoying thing is how they are wrapped up. First, you have to remove tight plastic that covers the entire pen. Then you have to unscrew the top and take off a tiny foil seal as well. Neither of these things were easy to do, so unwrapping 24 of them was a pain.Honest reviews on 24 Shimmering Fabric Paint Pens
I ordered these markers to personalize aprons for a kids' birthday party. Overall, they worked well but there was one or two aprons that I had to throw away because they were ruined. While writing out the childrens' names, an air bubble would occasionally come about and the paint would spurt out the pen making a mess of the name.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for 24 Shimmering Fabric Paint Pens

Review of Royal Langnickel Nocturna Watercolor Artist Paint Brushes
These brushes are not of the quality, I have read. The bristles spread apart easily when dipped in water. I will never buy these brushes again. I suggest Winsor & Newton, Princeton or Connoisseur brushes. These Brushes are highly effective in drawing pieces that are worthy to be bought.

Review of Sargent Art 22-7251 50-Count Assorted Colored Pencils
This box of 50 Sargent Art Colored Pencils (# 22-7251) is a well-above-average colored pencil product at a good price. As moods of colors go, the ones here are much more representative of the spectrum, its in-betweens and the neutrals, than the vivid kid-oriented brands like Cra-Z-Art, RoseArt or Crayola. All four of the above lines are physically of good quality, but the makeup of the leads ("color cores") in the Sargent Art colored pencils is a skosh closer to a real artist colored pencil (or "stick") than mass brands aimed at ages three and up. Here are some reasons why this pencil is so good, and why it may not be ideal for younger kids (ages 3 8, say):
PROS: -Round barrels;
- Accurate colors;
- Solid wood barrels makes for good sharpening (but always use a handheld sharpener);
- Pencils come pre-sharpened well, with hard conical points;
- To get much "artier," more professional colored pencils cost a lot more than this set;
- Adequate number of neutral and earth tones.
Yet there is a price to pay for pencils that have some of the temperament of adult or semi-pro colored pencils.
CONS: - Some pencils will have different degrees of "drag" because in order to keep chromatic harmony among colors, the amount of clay and pigmentation must vary;
- Therefore while the Sargents do not break easily, they will require varying degrees of pressure to lay down the same depth of color among colors;
- They take a bit longer and require more caution to sharpen than brands like Cra-Z-Art, Crayola, RoseArt or Mercur, which makes it all the more important they be sharpened by hand;
- Like most colored pencils, they don't have their own erasers. I have found mine erase best from art paper with an ovoid PaperMate Black Pearl eraser, gentle pressure, and some patience -there are probably other erasers out there that perform well too.
SUMMARY: Don't give these to young children unless this specific brand is specified and the pencils are to be used under close supervision. While these Sargents require a bit more finesse and patience to use, they are a joy for representing the colors one would want four-dozen-plus pencils to represent (and are free of non-naturally-existing tones like "neon" or cute-sounding but vague names like "Mauvelous"). For tweens and older, including adults, these are a great pencil to pick up and just have fun with. These are nonetheless colored pencils and cannot be expected to blend well with each other. To get started on a higher standard, learn color-blending techniques (which usually require a separate blending pencil), and go for a deliberate trainer set like Prismacolor's "Scholars." If you want to jump higher, straight into semi-pro and pro territory, there are plenty of lines -Prismacolor Prime, Derwint, and Faber-Castell, among others -but novices will probably find these "art sticks" in pencil form crumbly and frustrating to use. They also get used up much more quickly and cost a great deal more.
Sargent is an old American art-equipment house headquartered in Hazelton, Pennsylvania. The colored pencils themselves were manufactured in Thailand.

UPDATE (November 2011) These pencils have been used nearly everyday by my 4 and 2 year old. They've held up nicely, but they do wear down fairly quickly. I started off sharpening them with a cheap sharpener with mixed results. Some of the colors sharpen easily and quickly, while others (especially the silver and gold) break quite a bit and it's difficult to get a nice sharp point. Until you've used them awhile its hard to tell which colors are going to act up when sharpening, so it becomes trial and error as you sharpen. With that said, I still think the quality and color selection is superior to Crayola.

These are great pencils, however, they wear down rapidly (used to color mandalas) and sharpening is EASY but again, they shorten quickly. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for better than Crayola but not as pricey as Prismacolor...they are a great medium between the two in both quality and price :)Best Deals for Sargent Art 22-7251 50-Count Assorted Colored Pencils

I wanted to find a good set of colored pencils for my 3 and 2 year old. We originally tried a set of Crayola pencils and were so disappointed. The color was great, but the quality was horrible. They constantly broke and once we sharpened them, the colored lead would slip out of the pencil completely. I originally looked to replace them with Prismacolor pencils, but I just couldn't justify the price for preschoolers and toddlers. I still wanted quality and a wide selection of colors, just at a lower price point. My kids love that there are so many colors and so far not a single tip has broken, which is huge since my kids can be pretty rough with their art supplies! I had read on some Prismacolor reviews that its best to stay away from plastic sharpeners and opt for a heavy duty metal sharpener. I think we might get one in an effort to keep these pencils in the best shape possible. They are definitely a great alternative to the high end pencils, especially for younger children.UPDATE (November 2011) These pencils have been used nearly everyday by my 4 and 2 year old. Glob All Natural Paint Kits Reviews
I wanted to love them but I didn't. I gave them three stars simply because they are an eco-friendly product. I am usually more tolerant with natural products so just rating performance, ease of use and price (compared to traditional paint) I would give them 1 star.
I know "clean paints" is an oxymoron, but these were extra messy. The packets are not resealable, so paint powder spilled everywhere. Mixing them is an annoying step when you have an eager toddler. Even if you mix them to be thick, they are like watercolors very transparent. On the positive side, they smelled great and didn't really stain my daughter's hands. Everything washed up easily for me. I wouldn't recommend them. The company has the right idea with green paints, but needs to rethink the execution.

I absolutely love everything about these paints! They came with cups to mix the paints in and two small, wooden-handled brushes. I mixed the paint according to package instructions and the result was a gel-like consistency. It doesn't spill even if the cup is turned completely upside downperfect for my two-year-old artist. More water can be added for a looser consistency if desired. These paints smell amazing, like fresh fruits and herbs. It didn't seem like much paint powder when I first opened it, but a little goes a long way and has lasted months of regular use because I only mix up 2 to 3 colors at a time. Leftover paint can be stored in the fridge. I would highly recommend this product and will purchase again when we run out.Best Deals for Glob All Natural Paint Kits
These make a fun gift because they are made from fruits and veggies. So it appeals to green parents, mainstream parents and anyone who falls in between. However, are they really the greatest paints. Absolutely not. But do kids really care? Absolutely not.Honest reviews on Glob All Natural Paint Kits
My kids (4 and 8 years old) loved mixing, smelling and painting with these paints. The one caveat is that the texture is close to traditional watercolor paints and therefore not even close to the thick, opaque quality of the tempera paints many kids are used to. I bought these along with the Original Natural Edible Finger Paint Made with Organic Ingredients 5 Pc Set. The Glob paints mixed much better, much more like traditional watercolors while the "Edible" finger paint never really came together. No matter how much we mixed it, it was still clear water with colored sand and after a few days it smelled like rotten vegetables. The Glob paints smell fantastic!Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Glob All Natural Paint Kits
The containers that come with the set are a bit flimsy, so you have to be careful that the covers don't break. However, I love that not too much plastic was used in making them. Colors are wonderful, we've found that you have to use a bit more purple then the other colors. Smell is amazing!Thursday, September 4, 2014

UPDATE 1/21/12 EXCELLENT PRODUCT!
I Recognized the accessories in the larger Clay Cutter Kit that I have in my Wood Burning Kit! I just ordered this smaller Clay Cutter kit here since I do have all the accessories from the Wood Burning Kit.
The WOOD BURNING KIT is AWESOME and excellent quality so I expect the same from this kit too!
So... I am choosing this smaller and more reasonably priced kit since I really only need the Cutter Wheel. This was the only QUALITY Clay Cutter I could find other than buying a Pizza Cutter. Hmmmm...
Believe me I have Googled and searched eBay for hours now. I have also learned a little about working with clay too from reading the reviews on so many other items on Amazon. I always end up getting side tracked and reading about other related items.
I am anxious to get this item and my Pasta machine I am ordering with this item... got free ship on both.
