The design is cute, but because the stamps are round they are harder to hang on to when you hit them with the hammer. This makes the design shallow when it's stamped in the metal and harder to ink. not worth the money.

I ordered this product, and it came a day after I ordered it (I live in California) and I was very pleased. The brushes are very good and the only downside was that when taking the plastic off the brushes, sometimes the top part with the brush would fall off. But that was no problem considering that you could just stick it right back on. A very good purchase especially for the price.

These brushes may not be the highest quality ever but for the price I am extremely pleased with them. I use them for acrylic painting. The paintbrushes are soft and so far the hair has not fallen out at all. The price is amazing for how many you get! I bought more!

Not the best quality. But for the price, they will be fine detail brushes. The line brushes (inch long bristles) will probably be the most used.

Great varnish high gloss and not thick so brushes on very easily. Only negative is that is seems to dry a bit slowly instructions are to let dry for several hours between coats, but that's minor and I will buy more.

This gloss varnish does what it is supposed to do. It wasn't too thick or too thin and was easy to apply on outdoor statues after I had repainted them. This left a nice finish on my statues that wasn't glittery looking but left them with a nice, believable sheen that was complimentary and not too shiny. I'm hoping that the effort I put into repainting these items for my garden will continue to look beautiful for years to come because they will be exposed to the hot Texas sun. It took about a week after ordering for me to receive this varnish but I believe that Amazon had to obtain this product from the manufacturer (I don't think it is an item that Amazon regularly stocks in its warehouse). But I was still painting my garden statues when I ordered this so I didn't mind a one week delivery time. I didn't see this product in this size on the shelves at Michael's or Hobby Lobby. However, it's possible that I could have missed seeing this because both stores were pretty crowded when I was looking for an 8 oz. size of gloss varnish. I will definitely reorder from this company when I run out of this varnish.

I was completely blown away by these pens when I first found them...the colours are vibrant and they blend beautifully and they're just so pleasurable to use! BUT they fade really badly in sunlight. When I noticed that the lilac in one of my pictures was fading and turning pink I made a test sheet of all the colours I owned and left it in the sun, covering half of each colour with card so I would be able to see the difference. I was shocked by how much some of the colours faded in just a couple of weeks. By the time two or three months had passed all the colours except black had faded very obviously. I now feel I have no choice but to keep my prismacolor marker artwork in the dark, even though it's some of my best work!

I am an artist and art teacher and I have used the Prismacolor markers for 6 years now at the art school where I work with children. We go through a lot of markers. Some of the colors dry out faster than others, such as the light blue and the light green. These markers do go on well, give a concise line and look wet and bold at first. I have also found that the colors will fade as other reviewers mentioned.

I am thinking of purchasing a set of 48 for my personal use, but am concerned the colors will dry out over time. I have had a set of Design 2 markers (96 count which I paid $100 for in 1994) and LOVE these markers. Finally after 15 years my Design 2 Markers are drying out! I got 15 years out of the Design 2 markers! I only wish they were still on the market,as they were also double ended and had a beautiful array of colors, and also a nice chisel tip. Prismacolor is the closest I can find so far for the price. I read Chartpak and Copic are other markers to consider, but their price is double that of Prismacolor. These markers get the job done, are better than Crayola for sure, but in the long run I wish there was another option on the market that matched my Design2 brand!

These four-size headed pens are fabulous for detail work on acrylic or oil paintings. I use them for portraits. The only thing you need to remember is to buy a larger set. I started with a 24 and a 48, because larger sets were out of stock. Today, I finally got a 144-color set and now I can hardly wait for the weekend to use them. The wider heads make what is almost like a water-color wash over large areas, while the fine point is wonderful for details.

I love these and would use them exclusively except for the fading problem. Even keeping pieces in the dark does not prevent fading. I am looking for another medium that works as well and am discouraged to have lost so many peices that I loved. Just glad I didn't sell them, I would have to be giving refunds right and left.

I was using a different of paint for my airbrush but the first time i used these ready mixed paints i new i would never use any other paint again, the colors are vibrant and dry extremely quickly to the touch, i would still reccommend that you let them cure overnight.

I'm a painter working in both digital and traditional media. While I love the tactile nature of traditional painting on canvas, sometimes not having to worry about brushes, cleaning and mixing paints is nice with digital painting. When I saw these I thought it'd be a best of both worlds situations, and it is.

The markers have paint and a ball bearing in them to make sure the paint is properly mixed. You push the tip (it's on a spring) into the marker to load it with paint. A little paint goes a long way and although I was worried that there wasn't very much paint in each marker when I initially purchased them, it's no longer a concern.

Overall what I really like about these is that they are quick. It's easy to get your ideas on canvas quickly and build from them. It has a nice rough style that comes from the layering. They're also great for touch up. I find that I use them on my more involved airbrush paintings to touch up or make tiny corrections, things like that. It's acrylic so it blends right in. Clean up is essentially putting the caps back on the markers. Can't beat it! If your an artist looking for something new to try, this is it!

**Note** I have not bought this specific set but I have the same markers I bought with other sets or individually. Individual (refillable) colors can be bought for three to five dollars at art stores like Blick so keep that in mind when pricing these.

Some things to take into consideration:

-When painting you generally mix colors for gradation and custom shades. With these, I layer one color and then, before it dries, use another color directly on top of the first. This actually produces some nice effects.

-Tips are replaceable, but generally you can just wipe mixed paint off of them.

-SOME markers are refillable (YAY!) The markers in this set may not be(BOO!). I picked up a bunch of single markers from Blick that are all refillable.

-You can refill them with any acrylic. This is great for me because I also airbrush and use Golden acrylic that I can just pour into these markers. Montana also sells their own refill paint. I've been meaning to order some (it's good paint) but haven't got around to it.

-You can buy empty markers and fill them with your own premixed colors or clean out used up refill markers and do the same.
