Works well. Provides the right amount of extra space. And the gold finish and round design makes it blend fashionably into the rest of your ensemble.

Reviews of Gold Finish Collar Extenders - Set of 3 - by Geoffrey Beene
Decent product for the price.....the color, gold, is a bit "80s" (silver would be better) but they work, are easy to use and were shipped promptly....if they were silver, I would have given this review a 5 stars...

This is nice for small projects. Do NOT try to use with any other paint than the glass paints though because you will never get the paint out of the sponge. Also, I gave it 4 stars because the sponges are not very durable in regards to staying on the stick once they have been rinsed out.

I purchased the Cricut Deep Cut Blade assembly for my Cricut Expressions machine because I knew I would be cutting thicker materials like chip board and thin foam. The standard blade is really not appropriate for anything thicker than typical construction paper. But, the "Deep Cut" blade won't cut through my chip board even on the deepest setting.
Cricut needs to be more specific regarding the thickness of materials it can handle and of the depths associated with different blade settings. There is way too much trial and error involved with adjusting depth settings.
On a side note, it fits in the Cricut Cake machine, so if you just get the sticky mats you can use it to cut out papers/leather/foam board, whatever, instead of just cutting food items. I know Provo Craft says not to use the Cricut Cake for non food items, but they are full of crap. If you use a separate mat and blade, then NONE of your machine will come in contact with both your food items and your paper items. Besides, even if you used the same mats/blade, if you are making things out of paper that is SO toxic that a microscopic sliver or the residue of the dye could make you sick then maybe you should reconsider operating the machine in your house! I'm pretty sure anything that toxic would have to carry a warning label anyway... So as long as you aren't flavoring your coffee with scrapbooking glue, I sure you'll be fine. Provo Craft just stands to make MUCH more cash if you buy both a machine for both food items and paper products, so of course they'll say you shouldn't use it for both.

I purchased this blade with hopes of cutting chipboard. It didn't now work at all. It only penetrated about half of the chipboard material. I gave it two stars because it did come in handy as a better blade for cutting glitter paper.Best Deals for Cricut Deep Cut Blade & Housing
I've been cutting materials about 1/8th of an inch thick with this blade. I find I have to use to multicut function to make sure there aren't any little spots that didn't get cut completely though. I also have found that the thicker materials need a little extra sticky to stay in place on the mat (makes sense, since you're cutting through more material at a time there will be more resistance). I just use some double sided sticky tape, and it works just fine.On a side note, it fits in the Cricut Cake machine, so if you just get the sticky mats you can use it to cut out papers/leather/foam board, whatever, instead of just cutting food items. Honest reviews on Cricut Deep Cut Blade & Housing
Here is a link I found helpful. Yes, it does take a lot of practice and such to get good results using different items, however once you find something that works you should keep a journal, it helps so you don't make the same mistakes. This does cut things that the original blade can't cut, and it is very important that you start with a good tacky cutting mat. . Keep trying it is well worth it.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Cricut Deep Cut Blade & Housing
The deep cut seems stressful on the machine while the chipboard will not stay in place and makes a mess of the chipboard. Cricut should do something to compensate for the deep cut promises. Ive spent enough money!Wednesday, December 17, 2014
Buy 10pc Clear Plastic Bead Jar Containers - Snap on Lids
I took a chance when I bought these little containers, after all there are many kinds of plastic and I was afraid it might be very flimsy but it is quite a firm plastic, not likely to crack with normal wear and tear. There is a little plastic nub on the bottom that keeps it from sitting quite flat. This could be removed with an emery board but I decided to store it sitting on its top so as to see clearly the contents if using for beads. It will leak water but only if squeezed but I have kept acrylic paint in one and after weeks it has not dried out at all, so it may not be water tight but it seems to be air tight....now I'm really happy that it works great for what I wanted to use it for. ALERT! After three weeks or so, the paint dried out. So you see, they ARE good for beads and small things but not liquid or anything that will dry out.

Very disappointed with this product. I bought it to clean my Iwata Revolution airbrush but not even the finer/smaller brush will enter the airbrush needle passage.
After some struggling and bending it a couple of times in the process it did enter but the fit was so tight I couldnt move it back and forth so it couldnt perform any cleaning of it at all.
When pulling it out "by force", several bristles came loose inside the airbrush.
Definitely NOT recommended for the advertised use.

I bought these brushes to clean the small tubes of my airbrush bottles. They do a good job for this. I didn't intend to use them on the airbrush itself, and they really aren't exactly what is needed for that it seems. But for the siphon bottles they are a good help.Best Deals for 3.5" Nylon Precision Brush Set for Cleaning Airbrushes, Spray Guns
I still prefer using pipe cleaners because they tend to remove more of the paint out of the airbrushes. However, I gave it 4 stars because they do work well and enhance the ability of the pipe cleaners to work when used together. Plus, these are reusable, pipe cleaners aren't. So, they are also handy when you run out of pipe cleaners and you're in the middle of Afghanistan and can't run to the store to buy more. Of course they are also convenient for those nights where you run out of pipe cleaners and the stores are closed. They do clean the brushes, just not quite as well. Definitely worth the few bucks they cost. Hope this helps with your decision.Honest reviews on 3.5" Nylon Precision Brush Set for Cleaning Airbrushes, Spray Guns
Really poor quality (even for the price tag) they look nothing like the picture (the picture looks just like an existing set I have)don't go by the picture. the bristles are all almost exactly the same size, and look to be falling out, and they are also way wider then the picture, I can't think of any part of my airbrush these huge bristles would even fit. The metal is very sharp at the end (and the bristles don't go far enough down)... if you don't expect it to look anything like the picture, and you want huge falling out bristles, and sharp metal ends to scratchthen this one is for you.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for 3.5" Nylon Precision Brush Set for Cleaning Airbrushes, Spray Guns

I moved to this brush from a Badger 150. I'm very happy with the quality of this airbrush. The fine lines are very good, and the airbrush hose adapter is a nice inclusion. I'm not sure why they included 2 tips; as one of them leaves the needletip completely exposed and is a good way to get a bent needle. You have a choice of cup or bottle and either can be switched to either side and in any orientation. When I was painting a large gaming mat this was a godsend for painting straight down.
Make sure you thin your paints properly; this brush won't hesitate to clog on you if you don't.
Be careful when cleaning this: the nozzle has a tiny tip that's very easy to accidentally wash down a sink even with a strainer in the drain. Replacements can be had on Amazon for about $7 apiece.
All in all, after using this airbrush for about 6 months I'm very happy with it.
Works better than it looks! I've been using it for a couple of days now and I'm impressed! Badger could do something about their quality control for the better, but actually working with the airbrush is OK. Overall, I'm pleased with the performance.

I am continually impressed by the high quality of Bucilla craft kits. This kit was very fun to make and had clear instructions and the parts were easy to use. The kit made adorable little holders, I used them to hold little treats and gifts rather than silverware. I think almost any age could make these items, from about age 8 on up, with proper adult supervision. They would make a very fun project for a scout troop around the winter holidays. But they are also a fun project to help get into the spirit of the holidays...

I was completely blown away by these pens when I first found them...the colours are vibrant and they blend beautifully and they're just so pleasurable to use! BUT they fade really badly in sunlight. When I noticed that the lilac in one of my pictures was fading and turning pink I made a test sheet of all the colours I owned and left it in the sun, covering half of each colour with card so I would be able to see the difference. I was shocked by how much some of the colours faded in just a couple of weeks. By the time two or three months had passed all the colours except black had faded very obviously. I now feel I have no choice but to keep my prismacolor marker artwork in the dark, even though it's some of my best work!
I am thinking of purchasing a set of 48 for my personal use, but am concerned the colors will dry out over time. I have had a set of Design 2 markers (96 count which I paid $100 for in 1994) and LOVE these markers. Finally after 15 years my Design 2 Markers are drying out! I got 15 years out of the Design 2 markers! I only wish they were still on the market,as they were also double ended and had a beautiful array of colors, and also a nice chisel tip. Prismacolor is the closest I can find so far for the price. I read Chartpak and Copic are other markers to consider, but their price is double that of Prismacolor. These markers get the job done, are better than Crayola for sure, but in the long run I wish there was another option on the market that matched my Design2 brand!

I am an artist and art teacher and I have used the Prismacolor markers for 6 years now at the art school where I work with children. We go through a lot of markers. Some of the colors dry out faster than others, such as the light blue and the light green. These markers do go on well, give a concise line and look wet and bold at first. I have also found that the colors will fade as other reviewers mentioned.I am thinking of purchasing a set of 48 for my personal use, but am concerned the colors will dry out over time. These four-size headed pens are fabulous for detail work on acrylic or oil paintings. I use them for portraits. The only thing you need to remember is to buy a larger set. I started with a 24 and a 48, because larger sets were out of stock. Today, I finally got a 144-color set and now I can hardly wait for the weekend to use them. The wider heads make what is almost like a water-color wash over large areas, while the fine point is wonderful for details.Honest reviews on Prismacolor Premier Double Ended Art Markers 24 Count

I love these and would use them exclusively except for the fading problem. Even keeping pieces in the dark does not prevent fading. I am looking for another medium that works as well and am discouraged to have lost so many peices that I loved. Just glad I didn't sell them, I would have to be giving refunds right and left.Thursday, September 11, 2014
Darice FLT-0498 Felties Sticky Stiff Felt Sheets, 1mm, Bright Colors Review
The product has worked out well for "upcycling" old jewelry box interiors. There are many uses for this self sticking felt.We needed felt to stick on the bottom of stuff so that it wouldn't scratch our tables. These work great. My wife and I selebrated our 9th wedding anniversary (pottery) my going to a local pottery shop and painting some pre-made bisque items. My wife made the cutest little piggy bank and I made a cute little Snoopy sleeping on top of his dog house. After these items were fired, we brought them home and I used these felties to stick on the bottom of the pottery items. I trimmed the edges and it works perfect! Now I keep M&Ms in my Snoopy Dog House for when we have guests over. And, it will never scratch our table!

Loew-Cornell Assorted 12-Milliliter Watercolor Paint 24-Pack Review
I read the reviews on these paints before purchasing and thought I'd take a chance on them. These watercolor paints are horrible. The do not mix or dissolve in water like they should. They clump into tiny paint particles and can not be used. A couple of tubes came with the name of a different color than what was in the tube. One said Violet but the color in the tube was Green!? Don't waste your money on these paints.

I wouldn't really classify these as "watercolors". They are thick and gritty, like gouache. The color doesn't spread very well, and after it dries, it is very inflexible. Difficult to work with. The deeper and more saturated colors work okay for accents, but overall, not good paint. When it dried, it had a very matte and chalky texture. I would recommend springing for a pricier brand of watercolor in order to get any good results.Wednesday, August 13, 2014

Buy Knitter's Pride Knitting Needle Size Markers and Stick Holders
Very helpful when you have more than project going, or when you have a project that you have not worked on for a while.Okay, I admit it. Sometimes (er...often) I put a project aside to sail off into the land of "new yarn new neat pattern can't sleep till I try this" knitting nirvana. And that means that I return days, weeks, ashamed to admit it months later to restart the abandoned but worthy project. These little slip on needle size tags save me from starting to knit with the wrong size needle tip. Worth every penny, I keep several sets on hand.
