I don't learn from reading. I learn from being taught in real life, by a real person. Well this book taught me. This book is definitely for anyone who is just like me. It is amazing and i cannot believe it but i'm tatting. I picked it up and did it like i always just knew how and could. I will post some images from all i've done in about 3 days of having this book. I'm hooked and i would have payed upward of $50 for this book. Amazing. I'll be using tatting in jewelry making, crazy quilting and much more.

This was a really great, easy way to learn needle tatting. I started with the bookmark as my first "project". I have never needle tatted prior to this. I do crochet some but I am no where near skilled when it comes to that. I did learn how to do that from a book when I was pregnant with my daughter (she is 8 now) and I figured if I could learn that from a book, I may be able to do this as well.

The instructions in this book were very clear and the pictures were super helpful. The book goes through a step by step process and teaches you the basics and slowly introduces the abbreviated pattern instructions. The way the whole thing was put together couldn't have been better, in my opinion. The only thing that could have made it better is if Barbara Foster herself was sitting next to me giving me step by steps.

My little bookmark came out perfectly and looked just like the picture, I honestly couldn't be more pleased.

Clear instructions with good pictures for visual learners. This was so simple that I was on the internet looking for new patterns within two hours. A very good explanation and instructions. Since the needles were included with the set I didn't have to go searching for them elsewhere and the multiple sizes of the needles will keep me going for a long time.

This is nice for small projects. Do NOT try to use with any other paint than the glass paints though because you will never get the paint out of the sponge. Also, I gave it 4 stars because the sponges are not very durable in regards to staying on the stick once they have been rinsed out.

This is not for the impatient painter as there are some pretty detailed and small spots, but it is fun to do. And a very pretty painting for framing and hanging. I have tried several grey marker sets to do tonal sketching. These markers are smooth and rich. The grey gradient is pretty good, except for the darker greys...it seems there is little variation. The only problem is these greys bleed through, so use an under-surface when marking. They were worth every penny.

I've tried several kinds of dpns: bamboo, metal, etc but none are as nice as these. They're lightweight, have a good grip on the yarn, not too short or long, and are pointy enough to be accurate but not so much that they split yarn. As for the other reviewer who got different gauge with these needles compared to her usual needles: gauge can change whenever anything else is changed. It could be that she held the yarn differently, or knit looser. It's always important to check gauge, and I don't feel that that reflects badly on these needles. They're well made and just right for sock knitting, though I've also used the size 5 to do ribbing on a sweater. I just wish that they'd sell them in sets of sizes 0-5. :)

I knit socks. I use the same sock pattern over and over because I spent a lot of time in the waiting room of a large hospital and I knit lots of socks. I was using a set of metal double pointed needles, 7 inches long. But the length got in the way when I got close to the end of the toe. I purchased a large set of bamboo needles, 5 inches long. The sizes were all printed clearly on the tiny needles. The 2.25 needles were clearly the same from the bamboo and the metal sets. They worked up fine especially at the toe. But they were too short to comfortably cast on 60 stitches. I thought 6 inch needles would be perfect. And six inch needles are perfect. Unfortunately these, although marked 2.25 are not the same size as the other two sets. The resulting sock was visibly two and a half inches smaller around than the many other socks I have made using the same pattern. So disappointed. They feel fine in my hands, they glide though the yarn but they are useless if you cannot use what you make with them.

These are cute there are lots of designs it is just hard to tell with some of them exactly what they are supposed to be. IT would have been nice if there was something included that showed the stencils being used with color suggestions. I have an airbrush makeup kit and bought these for quick little tatoos for my children. There are just some we can't tell what they are and others that are just weird designs. For the price I paid, it's worth it but an instructional page would have been really appreciated.

These are the right size! When I ordered a different brand, but still 8mm, they were too narrow for the Bond needles, which made them worthless. The downside is there is no other tool on the other end (like a 1 prong tool or latch hook) which makes them a bit limited.

Rather than paying $60 for two spray tans buy this set and you can save a ton. It is a smaller airbrush, but it works awesome!!!!!! I just did my face neck and arms, takes just a few min once you get a hang of the airbrush. If you had a partner to help you could do the whole body in about 5min. It worked great!!!!!!! I only used this once and the hose came off. The set is not worth it! I went to Harbor Freights and bought a much nicer set for only $89 and it works great! The company was very good about returning the product, although it cost me $17 to return...ouch!!

I haven't quite finished making this but I'm about 90% along and it's going to be a great addition to our Christmas decorations. If you are familiar with Bucilla kits, this is no more difficult than any of them -and less difficult than some other "soft sculpture" kits of theirs. If you are new to felt crafts, I wouldn't recommend starting with this one, but rather a simple stocking with larger pieces. I think the instructions for this kit assume that you're a veteran of many of their kits.
