I received this set as a gift from my boyfriend and all I can say is that I absolutely love it! It came in perfect condition, and they are very easy to use. The only thing that poses as an "issue" is that they bleed through normal paper, but the finished product looks amazing, so it is very worth the money.

Cheap Richeson Casein - The Shiva Series Color Theory Set of 6 37ml Tubes

Customer Ratings:

I have never made casein paints from scratch but was curious so I bought these. They are very matt and dry very quickly. But they reconstitute so you can work back into them. They are their own animal--unlike other types of paint. You can use water spray to extend the open time. Without having used other brands (I think only other brand is by the German company, Pelikan), I can't comment on their quality as a casein paint. However, I can say they are interesting to work with and the only downside is that they have a strong odor--such as ammonia or something similar. It's too bad they can't find a compatible chemical substitute. The benefit of this over mixing your own is that homemade casein paints have a very short life and these will last a long time.

I gifted this to a tween girl, age 11, who enjoys drawing and crafts. She played with it a full 2 hours on Christmas morning. It was the first gift she played with and she created 3 lovely rooms: a dream bedroom, a music room and a room for her brother. It was obviously her favorite gift. Lots of youth flavored designs and fun are included. You will find a variety of lamps, instuments, beds, rugs, windows, funky sofas and chairs, curtains and lots of room to use your imagination in your designs. Zero learning curve for her; her first drawings were a great success. This set requires 3 AA batteries to run the light tablet which is nice and bright and good for tracing all sorts of things. You could use normal printer paper to draw on. The pencils in the set are very basic. If you have the money to spare, I suggest a nice set of colored pencils and a good sharpener to go along with this set.Lots of colors will create more variety in designs and they can pattern bedspreads and the walls. This is just the perfect toy for those girls who have outgrown most toys! Worth the money and fine motor skills educational. Very pleased!

I found this after I purchased their spiral version with stencils. I have always loved interior design and have looked for a long time for something artistic and easy, and most importantly youthful to enjoy. I have an art degree, and even studied some interior design in college, yet to sadly find out at the time it wasn't fully credited at that time. That kinda put my dream on hold. Yet not sure I want to make it a career anymore due to the fact not many with this economy are hiring interior decorators or designers.

I found their stencil version kinda overwhelming or hard to figure out where to start so to speak. It's probably because I'm an adult. I'm sure a kid would pick it up and start off right where they needed to. I still kept looking for options of games or programs are artistic ways to express my inner decorator and designer, yet easy. I found this and absolutely was sold on the fact it was with a light. I wish it was AC adaptor but beggers can't be choosers. :) Their inlays make it so much easier to see your options for your room then their stencils. It's basically the same concept and designs, just in a different format. I still love both and sometimes even intertwine the two. However, I think this one may be my fav of all the interior design kits in this genre.

Honest reviews on Interior Design Light Box Studio Set

My 10 year old daughter loves to be creative so when I saw this interior design set on Amazon I knew she'd love it. It's such a great way for her to use her imagination and design her dream rooms. I gave four stars because I don't really care for the pencils/crayons that come with the set. I would recommend purchasing a nice set of colored pencils.

DecoArt 8 Pot Set Glamour Dust Glitter, Everyday Glamour Reviews

Customer Ratings:

I ordered this thinking its glitter dust and not paint. When this arrived I realized its not it's paint and it's not even of good quality. Good for kid's craft I guess. Also the packaging wasn't good and the paint had spilled out of the little containers.

Really like the shimmer in this product. It goes on easily and covers well for a translucent paint. Great on Christmas ornaments as they really do shimmer and shine with the light. Good colors supplied and easy to use. Takes a little longer to dry than some of the other types but not to the point of being a problem. Would love another selection of colors.

Cheap Copic Markers Multiliner 0.03 Black Pigment Based Ink

Customer Ratings:

While I do like these pens, I was a little unhappy with them when they first arrived. I was looking for a drawing pen with very dark, black ink. I've used other 0.3 pens from the same company and the ink was very bold and black, but not this one. The ink is a lighter shade of black than most, but I did find a good use for them. If you use this pen primarily for shading, it does look very much like lead/pencil, so if you're after that look, these are great pens.

I didnt buy these for me, however I the person I bought them for loves them. She has used them for years and thier super expesive locally so she doesnt keep a ready supply near by due to the durability issues that come with anything like this. I was soo happy to find them online at such a reasonable price. She is a just a weekend warrior in the art world but loves doing ultra fine outlines and detail work with these little guys and this is the only brand she uses. Locally they cost between 5-8 bucks a peice which is pretty par for the course and well worth it in her eyes so when I managed to find them online for so cheap I was thrilled. I orderd her 5 for her bday and she hasnt stoped thanking me. The big thing I noticed is buy a few of them, the company who sent me these is great about combining shipping and when you order one and it costs like 3 or 4 bucks but I orderd 5 and price went up like 20 cents so spend a few more dollars and grab a few of them. I will deff be doing this come christmas, I just hope they have enough in stock

Reviews of New Threadsrus 40 Large Spools Embroidery Threads for Brother

Customer Ratings:

The thread ad was a little deceptive. They advertised as thread for Brother machines, which it isn't exactly. They never would give me a definite yes or no on the thread being made for Brother by Brother. I specifically asked them that and they said they had not had any negative responses from Brother owners. That wasn't what the ad stated. It stated thread for Brother machines. The best I could find out was, that it was made in India, but they wouldn't specifically say it was made by Brother for Brother machines. When I received it, at first I was a little disappointed, then I e-mailed them and they told me to give a few spools a try and if I wasn't completely satisfied with it, I could return it and they would refund my money. I thought that was reasonable and gave it a try and it stitched out beautifully. So I thanked them and kept the thread. The only problem was breakage, it seems a little weak, but using a large eyed embroidery needle took care of that. They told me to adjust my tensions on my machine, but I didn't need to touch the tensions by using the larger eyed embroidery needle. Overall, it's basically good thread, beautiful colors and shine to it.

I was disappointed by a specific review, because these paints are fine. I'm an art student at Tyler School of Art and I work with gouache often. These are very standard and worth what you pay. They can last for a long time, and none of mine were dried out upon delivery.

Anyone with a problem may not be using them correctly.....

I was not expecting top-of-the-line product, as the cost was so low. But I may as well have burned my cash. Don't buy this just to try out gouache because it's not representative of what is actually a very fun and rewarding medium. (Likewise, never experiment with cheap watercolor paper. You will not get a true idea of what it can do for you.)

Very little pigment and lots of binding agent give you feeble color. A quality paint will be easily reconstituted once dry, just by adding water and allowing it to sit for a few minutes. This would not do that, so you'd have to use only fresh paint, which some artists prefer, but even fresh, the pigment is weak.

Best Deals for Art Advantage 12-Mililiter Tube Gouache Paint Set, 18 Color

The color is good on the tubes but the pain is very thin its mostly the medium, and when you open the tubes lots of it comes out in a big squirt. Also the tubes tended to continue leaking this viscous liquid no matter how tight you got the caps on, I may have to transfer all the paint out before the tubes can dry up on me making it harder to get it out

I had never tried working in gouache, so I got this as a starter kit. I love it! Great selection of colors.

nice product. both the airbruch and compressor are easy to use. perfect starter kit.

Best Deals for PAASCHE H AIRBRUSH SET w/Quiet AIR BRUSH COMPRESSOR

I purchased it to replace an old compressor/tank setup that would wake the dead when it ran. This tiny unit, about 12" long, is powerful enough to run my airbrush (Paasche H series) at any pressure I need yet is unbelievably quiet. With the Paasche kit it comes with anyone is ready to go as soon as you open the box. It even comes with the reducer fitting for the Paasche hose so I didn't have to go looking for one, very thoughtful of the dealer. I am very happy with the quality of this unit and the price is unbeatable. I recommend this to anyone who wants to start using an airbrush for their hobbies.

Honest reviews on PAASCHE H AIRBRUSH SET w/Quiet AIR BRUSH COMPRESSOR

First off, the air compressor is really quiet. Which is good because the air chamber is small and it turns on almost every time you spray. This isn't a problem, just an observation.

Next up is the air brush. I don't know how detailed this air brush is. I use to for plastic models and repainting nerf blasters. So I spray flat and if I need lines I use painters tape. Personally I like the gravity feed attachment over the jar. But the jars are nice for storing custom color mixes.

The clean up is really easy with this type of air brush. The more expensive brushes have needles that need to be removed to be cleaned. But this one just has an one allen bolt to loosen and the 2 parts come off and are easily cleaned. I clean it and pack it away in under 2 minutes.

Again, for those pro air brushers, this may not be the best AB out there. But for amateurs and beginners this is a really nice starter kit. Just don't forget to buy some air brush cleaner solvent.

Pros:

Motor: Cheap and Quiet. So far hasn't lost it's pressure or any quality it started out with. Comes with all you need to get the job done.

Pen: Enough replacement parts (For instance; I used this over a concrete floor and dropped the pen and hit on the tip. The "tip" is a very sharp cone that is used to control flow of paint. With it kind of bent on the end, that part was useless so I attached a replacement that came with this instead of the trouble to buy more). It's very easy to take apart and clean as well as piece back together. Just don't lose the tool or the threaded piece on the Pen and you're good to go.

Cons:

Motor: The Moisture trap that comes with it, when you screw it on it doesn't point downwards the way it's supposed to. Either it doesn't matter (which so far it mostly doesn't) or the threads weren't welded on correctly. The motor I don't have many problems with.

Pen: If you're looking for precision pen you should buy another Pen with it's attachment part and hose for the hoses are specified to the companies that built the pen. I painted a bunch of models using this pen and doing anything fancy like cross fading colors you can see it didn't make much of a mist with the paint but rather blown up chunks of drops of paint. (really difficult to explain because it isn't as bad as that sounded just not what I expected). I bought another Pen and it made a perfect mist of paint and the cross fading of colors were perfect while using this motor. It wasn't that I was mixing paint wrong or bad methods. This Paasche Pen only has a 1 button release as other professional pens will have a system of two. One will release the air pressure through the Pen while another will release a throttle of paint. The replacement Pen I got allowed me to push down for air and pull back on the button to release however much paint.

A method to attach certain things to the hose such as another moisture trap or another attachment threaded piece is not easy on a slippery smooth red rubber hose that Paasche made for their pens. I have been getting moisture from this a little bit and tried attaching another moisture trap by slicing the hose and pushing it on. No matter what I do the hose shoots out from either side of the trap when it reaches a certain pressure.

Knitter's Pride Karbonz Interchangeable Knitting Needle Sets Review

Customer Ratings:

These needles are my new favorites. I have been knitting with more expensive needles and then I ordered this set to try these new needles. They are pointed so there is no problem picking up stitches that you would normally struggle with. The grip on them is excellent and my hands don't slip around and best of all my knitting doesn't slip off the needle if the opportunity arises. These are great needles, the cords are nice and tight so there is no gap where your yarn can get snagged. I like the dark needles and cords for knitting with light colors. The dark needles make my knitting pop and it is easier to see what I am doing. The metal point is more pointed than my other needles and makes it easy to pick up stitches. Especially since I knit tightly on my needles these points pick up the stitches where I would struggle with other needle tips.

Wonderful needles! Very smooth joins, perfect tips, light weight with just the right amount of "grab" for the yarn.

The supplier was excellent...received my order in four days!

LOVE LOVE LOVE these needles....yarn just glides along, The connector between the needle tip and the cable is very smooth. I have not had any of my yarn catch on it like it can do with other brands of interchangeables I have tried. Also I have not had any issues with the needles coming unscrewed in the middle of a row, again something I have experienced with other interchangeables...I TOTALLY recommend these needles!

Honest reviews on Knitter's Pride Karbonz Interchangeable Knitting Needle Sets

LOVE LOVE LOVE this!. My only wish would be they'd make larger needle sizes. I have two other sets, and these are lighter and warmer.
