I received the mold today, and it's my first purchase of any lisa Pavelka products. I have to admit that I'm super impressed by the quality -this is by far that nicest mold I own, and I own my fair share. We're a craft household full of college art majors and cake hobbiest, I plan to use this as a cake border but my daughter has her eye on it for her art class (Mom's winning, she paid for it lol)! This thing looks like it'll outlast me and her, I believe it's a metal coated in some type of non-stick surface, and I love fact that the ends are closed-ended; therefore if I want to repeat my border it'll match up well and not look like separate pieces with a well-place trim with an exacto knife. I will admit I expected it to be bigger, but I so suprised by the superior quality so I'm willing to forgive the smaller size a bit since I feel that i did get a really well made item for my money, something that will last me for a long time, probably never wear out and appears that I can run over it in my car and not destroy it! I'd estimate the package to be approx 4" x 6" and attached a photo of it next to my hand for comparison.. If you're not expecting a larger mold, you'll be delighted with this one!

Delivery from Scrapbooking Alley was very fast. Their prices compared to a number of retailers is also very good and shipping is free with at least $50 in purchases or a very reasonable $5.95 up to $50.

A big note for those who purchased the 4oz Color Wash spray in the last year: Ranger discontinued several colors like Pesto, Mushroom, Terra Cotta etc. and also discontinued the 4oz size. Now there is only a 2oz size but it costs the same as the 4oz size so that works out to a 100% price increase. Thanks a lot Ranger.

The 2oz size does however spray a finer mist than the 4oz size. The 4oz sprayed lots of large drops regardless of the angle it was used at but was easy to transfer to a bottle with a finer spray.

All the color wash sprays work incredibly well on a number of materials. I've used it mainly on paper, card-stock and grass-cloth and the color on those has become permanent when dry. After spraying with the color wash sprays you can spray a fine mist of water to blend the colors further. The colors are really rich but they are less intense than the matching alcohol inks. When purchasing note that even the 2oz goes really far as you use relatively small amounts for great effect.

A quick tip is to use a cardboard box layered with paper or card-stock when spraying. This prevents the spray from getting on other objects or furniture and also gives a two for one as you get some interesting looking paper in addition to the item you are spraying. Another tip is that the large drops normally emerge within the first three sprays so if you are trying to avoid a splotchy look use the spray on paper first before spraying your object.

I miss the old, larger size of this product, but am happy it's still in production. Works great on both paper and fabric. Water based, so it will reactivate if it comes in contact with water or another water-based product. Dilute some in a separate container and you have two colors.

This is my third airbrush that I have purchased; the other two being an Iwata Revolution and Badger Velocity. I have been airbrushing for about 10 years now and can safely say this is one of the finest tools I have bought, especially at Amazon's 80$ price point.

I use this brush for painting Warmachine models and it does an amazing job and atomizes paint the best out of my other two brushes. I would recommend if you are using a lot of one specific color that the gravity cup is on the small side. However, this is excellent for detailed work like OSL. The trigger pull on it is smooth. The lock out function on the rear of the brush is awesome. This allows you to lock in a stroke range which allows you consistent range of control.

If you paint TMM (true metal metalics) do not use this brush. The needle diameter is too small and will clog up very easily. I would recommend a .5mm needle or larger.

Over the last few years, I have traded up from my Badger Anthem, to a Badger Patriot 105, and then a Badger Krome airbrush for painting my 1/35th scale model armor. I love all three, but never was able to develop the skill to free hand camouflage patterns reliably with my Krome. After seeing several youtube wideos, I decided to try the Badger Sotar 2020-2F when it was available on Amazon for a price ($69.89) less than I had paid for either of my Patriots or my Krome. As soon as I took it out of the box, I was hooked. It is much lighter and shorter than my Krome and feels like a pen in my hands and, just like a pen, I was easily able to sketch in patterns. After about 20 minutes of practice, I took on a three color schemed Syrian T-55 which turned out perfectly. I was amazed and very pleased. The lighter weight and the shorter nose of the Sotar compared to my Krome allowed me to use the full potential this fine instrument offered. The trigger movement is silky smooth and the small cup is perfect for what I need it to hold. The needle is very sharp and I would recommend using the included forked spray regulator to protect it from getting too close to the model surface. For protection, I also store my Sotar with the needle slightly retracted; a piece of cake with the ability to loosen the chuck and pull the needle back from the rear without removing the handle. It cleans as easily as my Patriots or my Krome.

My only quibbles are the relatively flimsy carboard box that it comes in compared to the standard Badger hard plastic clamshell and the shorter nose may not fit most cleaning pots / airbrush holders so you may need to add an airbrush holder to your work top. Fortunately, the gravity feed airbrush holder on my Badger TC 910 compressor works fine.

I highly recommend the Sotar 2020-F to any scale modeller looking for a superb detail airbrush at a stunningly low price.

The price was awesome, and the brush itself came to me in perfect shape. My only complaint is that it came in some cheap cardboard giftbox, instead of the hinged protective cases I am used to seeing badger brushes come in. That is minor though as my airbrushes are often on hangers and not in their cases, so its one of those no biggie things.

I formerly painted with oils but needed to find a less noxious, less cost-prohibitive paint I could actually use at home rather than just in a well-ventilated studio with proper resources for toxics disposal. I dislike the sheerness of acrylic paint and the soppiness of watercolors. Gouache is a great alternative. These tubes are small, not for large-scale work like I use to do, but I don't have room for that these days, anyhow. The pigment is concentrated, and really opaque and true to tone. You can thin the pigment down with water and you don't get any of that sheen and unevenness that drives me nuts about acrylic paint. Don't bother purchasing a huge set with a ton of colors--you can mix any hue you'd like with this set.

Shipping was fast, considering it was coming to the West Coast of the US from the UK. Highly recommended.

This is the first time I have ever returned to a site to write a product review. When I was researching this airbrush there seemed to be either positive or very negative reviews. I am here to leave my honest unbiased review. I was quite suprised at the construction of the airbrush. It looked exactly as the picture shows and the weight is comparable to an Iwata. The difference is when you look closely at the machining on the inside of the airbrush. Although it could be polished and smoothed a bit, it did not affect the overall workings of the airbrush. The trigger was smooth and it did not at all feel like a cheap, low quality airbrush I was expecting to receive.

The first thing I would like to comment on is that this airbrush comes with a very small needle. (Unless you get the G-444 set like I did) The smallest needle worked excellent for very thin lines and from a few inches away very nice shadows. The atomization is beautiful and it handled my paints better than my badger vega 2000. I was using createx paints and cheap folk art acrylic paint (mixed with a base extender to thin) painting a poster sized portrait on poster board. The needle was suprisingly a stronger metal than I expected and will not bend unless banged against something. Use care when inserting needles because they have to line up just right so slow down and pay attention.

I think this is an excellent detail brush. I say detail brush because it has such a small pattern that it would take all day to fill a large area with paint. Also, the shape of the bowl allows you to use the paint down to the last drop, so you dont waste paint like you do with bottom feed airbrushes. Cleanup was easy as I used a small round paintbrush and water to get down into the bottom of the bowl.

You will have no problems with this airbrush if you know how to work an airbrush and thin your paint correctly. (Like I said, I sprayed a portrait with folk art acrylic paint) I would highly recommend this airbrush if you are familiar with airbrushes and looking to add another to your set.

the master G444 is a decent brush for the money. while more experienced airbrushers may want to opt for a better brush. I have not sprayed urethane paint through this yet but for acrylics I would STRONGLY suggest the purchase of an airbrush medium as well. the master G44 performs decently, although a bit finicky about paint thickness and viscosity. The inclusion of the MAC valve and trigger stop are fantastic and the fine lines with this brush are above par. parts are stocked and very reasonably priced. just keep it clean and it works well. I have been using it to paint SFX latex prosthetics and it really shines in this application.

I bought two of these after trying out a G34 that was owned by a friend. I own and regularly use 2 Iwata Microns along with Badger Renegades and Chromes so I know a thing or two about detail airbrushes. Although, I was looking primarily for a detail gun I bought the kit with the medium and general tips and nozzles. I'm really happy with my purchase. You have the .5 mm tip to make a good beginner airbrush and when you master the airbrush you have the other tips for more detailed work.

Of course, this is also a great buy for the experienced airbrush artist that is looking for a great airbrush that does it all from detail work to general coverage. I was surprised to see a Master with a MAC valve so decided to try them after my bad experience with my first Master airbrush. I have the Iwata HP-CH which this looks just like so I got this as a backup since my Iwata was getting fixed. The .2mm shot good until I tried to shoot silver, it got clogged, ok, so I switched to the .3 and used it for a good month (I airbrush automotive paint everyday) and then air started backing into the cup spraying paint everywhere so now I'm on the .5 tip and can't use this one for detail and am really glad to have my Iwata.

Be aware, you will need to apply the tiny sticker pictures to each little stamp yourself. They weren't easy to center or differentiate. I could have made it easier on myself if I'd just used them before trying to assign picture to its stamper! Duh! Oh well, live and learn! Still, they aren't easy to center, not for me. I wish someone else had done it prior to sending them--hint hint hint.

My 15 year old son asked for these pens to do artwork on his surfboard. They worked fine and he has done some really cool art on his board. He did say that they really smell and it is imperative that you use the pens in a well ventilated room. He wants to by some water based pens but I am concerned that they won't be as stable as these pens. He also commented that he needed a broader point for his large artwork pieces.

Bought these to decorate some soapstone coasters as gifts for Christmas. They worked perfectly for this project! The color has not run at all, even without sealing and the stone is highly pigmented now. The only thing I would let others know is that the metallic silver and gold specifically cover over any other color you've used. So when we used them to outline some of the other colors, it really made it pop. But if you mistakenly run over another color, they isn't much you can do about it as you can't cover it with another color. The other colors are highly pigmented but are a bit translucent in comparison.

I bought these markers to use on plastic. They worked great for a while, but then they start to drip out of the pens. The extra fine pens seem to be better on colored paper than the fine markers.. crazy huh?

The metallic ones are terrific, but beware of the ink leak for ALL the colors. I have tried the Sharpie Oil Paint pens, but these are better!

I bought this marker set because I'm beginning to do a lot of scrapbooking, and I wanted something that I could use to write on colored paper (particularly black), photographs, and magazine pictures. Unfortunately, these markers are poor on all 3 mediums listed.

They write ok on colored paper but not great on black paper. They are ok on photographs and magazine pictures but sometimes the ink will glob up and not stay in the whole area you wrote in.

However, these markers are great if legibility is not important (like if you're just coloring in something). Also, the silver and gold markers are SPECTACULAR! They show up beautifully on any medium, and they appear truly metallic. I would buy the whole set just for these 2 markers.

This little guy has been my favorite Moleskine for about the last two years. It doesn't have any of the gravitas of its older, hardbound brothers; but it makes up for it in portability.

These come three to a pack, and have covers of lightweight cardboard. Many of the pages are perforated, and it has an approximation of the standard pocket in the back (a bit less secure). You can get them blank, ruled or squared (graph paper). They are also available in black, if that's your thing, but keep in mind you can't usefully write on the cover if it's black.

What I love so much about these is their lightness of manner. They fit more comfortably in a coat pocket, so I *always* have one on hand. They're not precious (in price or style) so I don't feel bad tearing out a page, even a non-perforated one, nor does it bother me if I spill beer on one. And for more important notes, you can write on the cover.

I still do appreciate the traditional Moleskines, but the plain cahier is my constant companion, my artistic PDA. I highly recommend it.

I'm a convert to paper, having carried a Palm of one generation after another for the last 10 years. But they're just too bulky, not quick enough, and too hard to randomly flip through the accumulated information. (Please don't offer advice on fixing them; I'm in IT support and have gone through all the love-hate cycles with PDA's I can stand. And my phone is _just_ a phone.)

So I found these notebooks and fell in love. I keep one in my pocket at all times and am always jotting down notes, lists, diary entries, reviews, URLs, passwords, etc.

My only fear was losing one, or spilling water on it and watching my water-based fountain pen ink become unreadable. Happily, we have a new copier at work that scans to pdf and emails. So once a week or so I send myself any new pages and have a permanent record in my email inbox if needed--best of both worlds.

The little pocket on the back has been very useful--holds my bus pass in a very convenient location for quick access; likewise a few business cards--no need for a pretentious separate case. And room left over for a few dollar bills to get my caffeine fix on the way in to the lab.

I tape my business card to the inside front cover in the hopes some kind soul will return it if I do leave one laying somewhere. On the black v. tan color? Black shows less wear; tan does allow one to write on the cover--but depending on the ink one uses, how close to the body carried, and perspiration, this may not be a Good Thing for one's clothes.

These notebooks are flexible and fit well in my pocket. I've been carrying these notebooks around for the past half-year and have been using them to keep lists and jot down ideas. I've really enjoyed using these it's an easy way to keep track of things. It's nice to have a little bit of paper on hand when I need it.

These are the only notebooks that I've run across that are small, flexible, and side bound. I've tried using the small, top-bound spiral notebooks that are commonly found in stores. Those spiral notebooks tend to get beaten-up before I'm done with them, they give me paper-cuts, and it's somewhat inconvenient to flip the notebook over to continue writing stuff down. I've had none of those problems with the cahier notebooks.

This is a very reliable product, although (as some other reviewers have said) the plain kraft cardboard cover is flimsy (so minus 1 star for that). That makes for light weight, which is what I want, but if you are going to submit these to rough treatment, you should try something else. Having said that, I have bought this product at least four times and have used up at least a dozen of these so far.

I use these in a low-tech-high-tech way now: after I fill a book, I remove the binding with a seam ripper and then I feed the pages to my scanner, so I end up with a PDF of the whole book. I have been able to send this PDF to the Kindle app in my iPhone and then I have the old book handy that way.

The scanner I use is the Fujitsu ScanSnap, which I recommend very highly.

If you do this, don't forget to number the pages before you remove the binding.

This is the second set of Moleskines I've tried, and again I'm disappointed that all of the pens I've tried using have shown through the back of the page, which makes it impossible to use both sides. Other than that I have no complaints; the notebooks are a GREAT size, and have a good amount of pages. Not too many, not too few. I intend to use them as travel journals and I think they're absolutely perfect for it. I REALLY just wish that the pages didn't show through; anyone have any recommendations for similar notebooks with paper that doesn't show pens through to the back?

These are great. They are very well made and the cores do not crumble or break when used (like some brands on the lower price end do). These pastel pencils have very good and even distribution of color with each stroke. They blend and texture well with stumps, cotton swabs, sponge material, and other items normally used for blending and texture with stick pastels. These pencils are great for creating the fine detail lines in pastel work that you can't get sometimes with a stick pastel. The only drawback is that you eventually run out and have to buy more...:)
