Reviews of Tonic Studios 418 Paper Distresser and Fiber Cutter, 2-Piece Set
I love making new things look old and I love distressing my paper for cards and scrapbooks. I had been using my craft knife but I was always cutting myself. I saw these on you tube and decided I had to have one. I love them. They work great for paper and cardstock. A must have for all paper crafters.

Best feature: they work for lefties just as well as right-handers! Also great: they're sharp enough but not dangerous, and they have rounded tips. I like the varied colors, too.
* They have a blunted tip for safety.
* They have excellent paper cutting ability, especially important for children who are just learning or have difficulty handling scissors.
* They can be used by both lefthanded and righthanded children.
* Though they cut paper, they don't easily cut skin. I can run my hand over the blade without hurting myself.
* Quality construction. The blades line up perfectly and the handles don't fall off.
I once bought dollar store children's scissors, but now I only buy Fiskars.
But sometimes the agents don't follow their own rules. That's when you'll be glad you bought a dozen of them at such a good price and can easily replace the confiscated ones.

Scissors are handy to have (and my wife the knitter often needs some) but you can't take them through airport security. UNLESS they are short and have blunt tips like these ones! The TSA allows them, as do most foreign airport security agencies. But sometimes the agents don't follow their own rules. That's when you'll be glad you bought a dozen of them at such a good price and can easily replace the confiscated ones.

I love these scissors, they really are helping my kids learn to cut. They are easier to use and sharper than most children's scissors and my lefties don't seem to have any trouble either. Great price and they came right away. Kindergarten Loves Fiskars!Tuesday, December 16, 2014
Reviews of Set of five 4x8.5 Antique Used Brick Veneer Molds #0923-5
The molds work well, though they turn out bricks that are a LOT less than I was expecting.
There are problems I didn't think too much about, such as the fact that it's hard to get a good concrete mix when you're only using 1/4 bag of ready-mix concrete per day, and it's much harder to get it colored with liquid coloring. I made several batches of red bricks that weren't colored anything at all like a real red or pink brick.
Mainly though, the finished bricks are very fragile. Probably no moreso than ceramic tile, but I expected more from concrete, especially with the extra-high-strength bags I used.
The molds aren't difficult to use, and you can find recipes for inexpensive homemade mold-release made with castor-oil, though I just used WD-40 for the first batches of bricks, until I saw how the casting was going to work.
I intended to use these for flooring, but I have a cast-concrete stepping stone, cast to look like a tree stump cut off right at ground level.
It looks great, very realistic, complete with growth rings, but after a few years of being walked on, the rings are showing wear, being smoothed down where people walk the most.
For that reason, I'd never use them as flooring. I may, instead, create some 4-foot high accent walls, removing sheetrock up to the 4-foot level and replacing it with lath, then adhering the "bricks" to the lath.Thought (used) was part of describing how bricks would look (old and used). It means the molds are used, they are in good shape, but probably would not have payed that much for used molds if I had realized. Hope they up to lots more use.

I was looking for a cutting mat to use while making fleece blankets. They were a yard and a half long and I would have to trim the edges to make them straight. I would use my rotary cutter and trim about a third of one edge and have to move the mat underneath and do the next third and repeat this process around the entire blanket. I kept looking for a bigger mat to put underneath and when I saw this, I knew it would be just what I needed. I can make it long enough to do the whole side with one cut. The only minor complaint I have is the cutter kind of "bumps" when it goes over the places where the mats join together. It is very easy to put together and take apart and comes in a plastic case with a handle for storage. It isn't one of those "self-healing" kind of mats, if that is what you need. I am very happy with the versatility of the product and the way it can be stored in a small space.Best Deals for Cottage Mills 24-Inch-by-36-Inch Puzzle Mat Set

If you travel with your quilt supplies, the puzzle mat is a great one to have. The pieces come in their own carrying case, and take up a space not much more than a foot square. Much easier to carry in your suitcase or in the back seat of your car if you're doing interstate travel! I haven't found ANY disadvantages.Saturday, November 29, 2014
Best Master Airbrush Brand Multi-purpose Professional Airbrushing System Deals
Customer Ratings:
List Price: $189.99
Sale Price: $99.96

This is my first compressor and seeing how it runs, will probably be the only compressor I will own. I have used a model master compressor before and I feel it performs the same. Everything is included in this set to get started airbrushing (well everything but the paint). The airbrush holder (with the two slots) is super helpful when you need a place to put your second airbrush for quick changes as well as a great way to refill your gravity fed airbrush. Best part is the compressor does not sputter.
Loudness and heat:
The compressor is rather quiet. It auto shuts off when not in use (auto as in it stops humming, you still need to actually flip the switch to turn it off when you are done). I have never had a problem with it overheating or getting anything hotter than warm to the touch.
Regulator and water trap:
A water trap is crucial for any small scale model painter because water destroys paint jobs. The set comes with one so no worry here. The regulator works great and shows little discrepancy between the psi you set it at and the psi that is maintained when airbrushing (up into the 30s). Past 30 psi the difference starts to show so do some tests sprays to see where the compressor actually maintains at. Max psi is 57, this should not be a problem for most because model kit builders use psi around 15-20 and 30 for heavier paints.
Airbrushes:
The airbrushes that come with this set are nice. The G22 is a gravity feed dual action with a .30mm needle, the S68 is a siphon feed with dual action and .35mm needle, and the E91 is a single action external mixed with a .80mm needle. The hose that comes with the set does not fit the single action (in fact doesn't fit any single action) and you need to purchase a new hose (should run about $8 online) if you would like to use the single action (which I would recommend for beginners or when applying to large surface area with no need for detail. As far as performance of each brush here goes:
G22: Decent weight and fits well with the contour of your hands (I am right handed but I would imagine it feels the same left or right handed). Cap comes off relatively easily to allow for filling and cleaning. The trigger requires that you first push down then pull back to adjust the amount of paint that comes out (dual action). Definitely not as smooth as my Iwata-Medea HP-CS; however, did not cost nearly as much ($120). It performs well with model master acrylics straight from the glass bottle without any thinning. Cleaning can be a little tricky though. Clean by spraying water until color goes away but for a full clean dissembling it is required. The nozzle is not removable (at least not easily) so it requires that you drag the needle out from the back which deposits paint inside the brush. Rinse the brush thoroughly to make sure no paint is left behind. Careful of the trigger though when you remove the needle because it tends to fall out and sometimes can be a pain to put back in.
S68: Again the weight is good; however a little more awkward due to the bottom feed when holding. The small metal cup that comes with the set is of poor quality though. Airbrush works ok for the most part I would recommend getting a different siphon feed if you paint a lot of large surface area things. However for model painting this is fine. The trigger is quite sensitive and i had issues with the gun "leaking" air because the trigger was stuck in a semi press. This made the compressor turn off and on which can be annoying and requires you to fidget with it to stop it from leaking. Cleaning is a pain because of all the crevices that a siphon feed presents. You will probably need to invest in a mini brush to get in there and clean the bottom feed as well as the feed in the cup.
E91: Never bought a hose to connect this so I never tried it out. I heard a few good reviews though and it would probably be worth it to invest a few bucks to get a hose and try this hose out if you are a beginner.
I'm very sad to say that my gravity feed dual action airbrush broke. The trigger became loose and I was never able to put it back on. Giving this a 3/5 stars instead of the 5/5 i had......
This is by far one of the best deals you can get if you are starting out airbrushing. For the price, you get three airbrushes and a quiet oil free compressor. It's a good entry purchase because you can use this with minimal maintenance and little worry since it's only about $120 after taxes. You can use this bundle to decide exactly what type of airbrush and what kind of air compressor you eventually want to settle with...but i'll let you know this does everything I want it to.
I bought this primarily to paint Gundam models and miniatures. Yes...miniatures. With the gravity feed airbrush it comes with and this air compressor, i was able to do almost pen-like widths with the airbrush. I haven't taken the nozzle off to try the hairlike paint width.
Installation is easy and it even comes with teflon tape for air leaks. With this set, i was able to do priming, highlighting, shading, etc.
Great value and expectation breaking performance!
All in all this is a good beginner airbrush set best used for smaller projects.

The compressor outlet fitting is a different size & thread than the provided hose for the air compressor. I am so far unsuccessful in finding a transition between the two threads at hardware stores and will try a plumbing supply place today. If I can't, I will be forced to return the product. This obviously is a hastily thrown together package of parts that no one checked to see whether they even work with each other. Plus there is NO phone number or web site on any of the parts or in the package to call (they do provide part lists and part list numbers so how in the world can anyone buy a replacement part if they have no one to call or contact???). This is an Amazon product. Jeff Bezos should do better.Honest reviews on Master Airbrush Brand Multi-purpose Professional Airbrushing System
When I received this set, I got 2 airbrushes and paint instead of 3 airbrushes. A quick call to the company and they sent out a new brush. The whole thing works well and is quiet and compact. I used it to airbrush makeup on 7 actors and it never seized on me. There were instructions in case I ever want to use it for painting. A good purchase indeed.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Master Airbrush Brand Multi-purpose Professional Airbrushing System
I've had this airbrush kit for a few months now and so far have been quite impressed with what you get for the money. The different brushes offer a good range of use, but I've been most impressed with how quiet the little compressor is. Since it doesn't have a tank and is continuously running I was worried that it would disturb my neighbors if used for long stretches of time, but it is quiet enough that it can't really be heard in the next room. All in all this is a good beginner airbrush set best used for smaller projects.

Cheap Versa Ruler Multi-sided Ruler and Shape-making Tool (4-pack)

I bought this tool for my 11 year-old son, who's pretty good at math and likes to draw. Figured it would be an interesting way to
encourage him to use his hands more and give the video games a break. When we opened the box, the first thing I noticed was that the product was a little heavier than I thought it would be– probably a bit over a pound. Pretty good quality and finish on the parts, so that was a good start.
Having seen the demo video on youtube, I laid the 4 rulers and protractors on the table and reached for the instructions. Before I
had gotten past the first diagram, my son was already connecting the pieces and swinging and sliding all over the place. I had to
show him how to line up the rulers in the proper orientation of inches to inches, which wasn't immediately apparent to him. But once he got that part, he was able to make shapes and scale them fairly easily and quickly.
When my husband got home and saw this curious device that our son was playing with, he immediately wanted to get in on the action and they began to sketch out a building project. Turns out he thought I had bought it for him!
Anyway, as far as educational tools go, the Versa Ruler is top notch. It helps to create a fun interplay between math and art. And
my hubby likes it for his DIY projects.
My only complaint is that the instructions could be clearer and maybe more extensive, especially for those of us who are less
mechanically inclined. Aside from that, this was a total home run and even the teachers at my son's school want to know where he got it.

Discount Butterfly Rubber Stamp Set By Cavallini & Co.
As a professional crafter with a business of my own, I often use rubber stamps. Cavallini's are beautiful stamps in a charming tin case mounted on lovely wood blocks. The problem? Any crafter with rubber stamping experience will take one look at Cavallini's stamps and see the problem: they lack the foam portion between the block & the stamp itself. The foam is an important detail, necessary to create a stamp that distributes pressure evenly. In layman's terms, it can be very difficult at times to get the entire image stamped. When I use Cavallini's stamps, often the center of the image doesn't imprint. Very frustrating. I also have found the ink pad included to be equally worthless, mine were dry and useless when I got them.
Cavallini & Co., you need to redesign your stamps to be like the ones they sell in craft stores: they need the foam! Otherwise half the time they're worthless. I've honestly never seen stamps sold without the foam portion, so it's pretty surprising Cavallini had the gall to produce and sell these for $25 a set when they're so obviously lacking in quality!
ever go wrong with a Cavallini product! Received in a timely manner as well.
Highly recommend!

These stamps are attractive and well-made. However, one stamp is a butterly with words behind it, another is of two small butterflies together. It's as is shown on the cover, but I was surprised. Also, each stamp has a small number on it as well as the butterfly. I was able to cut off the numbers and the unwanted words, but it did take some time.Best Deals for Butterfly Rubber Stamp Set By Cavallini & Co.

I bought these for my outdoor dining table candle holder because regular candles melt in the heat of the day. I also bought the Wilton candy coloring so that the color would mix with the candle oil. The candle sticks are great! They just fit the bill for what I wanted, but the coloring settles in the bottom of the candle after a while, so they are not colored-looking. But the candles themselves are great!Best Deals for Clear Glass Candles Fit Standard Candleholders (Set of 6)
Very unique candles, they look amazing. We purchased these for our wedding, and can't wait to use them all. We used one as a test run, and so you know, the wick must be cut very low to get a normal flame and pretty much burns out in about 6 hours, which still leaves a bunch of oil in the bottom. Over all, 6 hours is a long time, and they do look great. Also purchase a mini funnel to make filling easier. Shipping was super fast, and I have no complaints. Would definitely do business again.Sunday, September 28, 2014

This item is great, but it comes loose in the plastic like loose leaf paper would, except loose leaf paper is sturdier because of the quantity. The manufacturer should have packaged with a sheet of cardboard backing in the plastic, or the item should be shipped with it outside of the item when packaged for shipping. This comes slightly damaged because of this, and could have come a lot worse. It is a necessary item for copic markers, so the item is great, size was great, but the fact that it comes damaged deters me from buying online.

It is a necessary item for copic markers, so the item is great, size was great, but the fact that it comes damaged deters me from buying online.

I have been looking at Michael's, Joann's and Hobby Lobby for the Series 3 package of Jacquard's Pearl Ex but could not find it. So I found this one on Amazon and I am soooo excited about this series.
I have Series 1 and 2 (which I bought in store) but Series 3 is the best. I tried all the colors last night and the color selection is AWESOME! All of them are such great colors---Carbon Black, Mink to use for Brown, then those beautiful grey lavender and reflex violet, then pink gold, sky blue, pumpkin orange...man...really nice! I only wish they had the rest of the interference colors in here too---since they only have 2 of the interference colors on Series 1 and none in Series 2 or 3. But ALL the colors in Series 3 is very nice!
Can't wait to make cards using this series!

Jacquard powder mixes into any kind of paint, adding glimmer and iridescent shine. You can rub it dry into papers for a cool effect. The latest trend is to mix it into nail polish...endless possibilities!Best Deals for Jacquard Pearl FX Set Series 3
