I received the mold today, and it's my first purchase of any lisa Pavelka products. I have to admit that I'm super impressed by the quality -this is by far that nicest mold I own, and I own my fair share. We're a craft household full of college art majors and cake hobbiest, I plan to use this as a cake border but my daughter has her eye on it for her art class (Mom's winning, she paid for it lol)! This thing looks like it'll outlast me and her, I believe it's a metal coated in some type of non-stick surface, and I love fact that the ends are closed-ended; therefore if I want to repeat my border it'll match up well and not look like separate pieces with a well-place trim with an exacto knife. I will admit I expected it to be bigger, but I so suprised by the superior quality so I'm willing to forgive the smaller size a bit since I feel that i did get a really well made item for my money, something that will last me for a long time, probably never wear out and appears that I can run over it in my car and not destroy it! I'd estimate the package to be approx 4" x 6" and attached a photo of it next to my hand for comparison.. If you're not expecting a larger mold, you'll be delighted with this one!
