I love these needles for bead knitting tiny pendant bags using size 8 perle cotton and seed beads. They are smooth and easy to use. Since the beaded knitting I do isn't in the round, I use 2 needles at a time working back and forth in garter stitch to form a strip that I sew the edges together at the end. Shaping is done by increasing the number of beads between stitches which makes them easy enough for someone like me who isn't very good at knitting. So one set of needles means I can have two projects going at the same time, and this kind of beading is one of my favorite tv watching projects because it's so simple to do.

Great, it's hard to find the steel needles in the small size. They don't bend, with the aluminum ones you have to constantly straighten them after every section. They aren't marked, but, I've tried a colored "Sharpie" pen to mark all of a size in one color and written it down. I'll see if the color holds.
