After many years and hundreds of pairs of earrings, I finally figured out that my red itchy lobes were a result of a Nickel allergy. Well, finding Nickel free jewelery is hard, and finding decent Nickel free jewelery is VERY HARD! I bought these to start converting my earrings so I can start wearing what I like. They are a good sturdy quality wire. I was expecting some thin cheapy things, but no, they're a nice basic wire. Very pleased!

All my life I could not wear earrings for more than 10 or 15 minutes without my ear lobes turning red and getting irritated. Then, my 15 year old daughter introduced me to nickel free earrings. I tried out a pair and wore them for 3 hours without a hint of irritation! Now I can wear any earrings I want. I just change the hooks to nickel free. :) These particular hooks work great. They are definitely nickel free and will not cause irritation if you have a nickel allergy.

Easy to use to swap out loops on earrings that had nickel. I could have a wider selection of earrings by using these instead of just having the nickel free styles available in the store.Very comfortable to wear.
