Great for making gifts, and marking dishes. It works evenly and effectively. I purchased a large jar, and it will probably last me forever.

I used Armour Etch in the past and hated it. It was very runny and etched unevenly. This product is amazing!! A little goes a long way and it etched perfectly even.

In the midst of bathroom remodel, I realized the only way to make our door glass opaque is to etch it. Purchased this cream, laid the doors flat, carefully washed the glass with rubbing alcohol, globbed on 2 thick coats on each of the window panes, waited not 15 but 30 minutes, washed off and stood in despair... Blotchy all over! Some spots didn't take at all, some were semi etch, some completely so. What a mess! 40% effectiveness gets 40% rating and a return. Luckily liquid Etchall from our local Ben Franklin fixed what Martha Stewart's cream couldn't do.

I used this product to take the shine off some pottery. It worked on some surfaces but not on others.
