I agree these are not superior painting knives and if you are a serious artist you would do well to buy more expensive and higher quality tools. These are nice for a student or someone who may be curious about knife painting and simply wants to give it a try. Considering the very low price and number of knives they provide I find it hard to complain but at some point if you decide to stick with knife painting invest in some better knives. Also, please note that you do no have to buy 12 expensive knives. You'll find yourself using 2 or 3 knives for almost all your work so getting a large set is over kill. In that respect, using this set, find the few knifes that you like the most and then get better versions of the few that work the best and keep these as mixing knives.

The 12-piece artist palette knife set is a great buy at a great low price.

The knives are totally useless for painting. The metal bends and stays bent unacceptable. They should not be advertized as "artist" palette knives.

I bought these for the purpose of creating highlights for spray paint art and they certainly are perfect for the job. Although they give you a selection of 12 knives to choose from when you buy it, for the purpose of SPA, the only knife in it that is worth using is the one marked with 1 on its handle or the smallest one. So if you are a spray paint artist like myself, I wouldn't get too crazy with buying these even though I'm sure I'll find a use for the rest of the knives. They are very easy to clean off and so far they have proven themselves durable.
