Sometimes you need a brush for a solvent or a glue or something else that is going to be terribly hard on the brush or terribly hard to wash out of it. Then you reach for one of these and figure that you can afford to toss eleven cents' worth of brush when the job is finished. They are not great brushes, but being able to toss one instead of laboring to clean it is sometimes very desirable. The differently colored handles mark different sizes. but the range is not wide. Both the bristles and the handles are plastic.
My one complaint is that I got only 69 brushes. Yes, I counted carefully. Twice. These things come from China and I have to think that the shortage was either deliberate or, at least, a consciously allowed error. This is not to say that the packagers are trying to cheat; in that culture the "72" is an ideal and so long as the packager is making a reasonable effort to approach that ideal then everyone should be happy. If we consumers gripe about it enough, then the distributor will apologize to the packager and explain that the unreasonable consumers are demanding that the counting be more accurate, and he will ask the packager to help both of them save face by putting more effort into counting precisely.
