This stuff is awesome, no hassel, barely any mess depending on how much you've used it...only problem is it can be a little pricy. But here are the facts:
-cures in 15 mins in direct sunlight no problems
-once it sets, if there is an imperfection or you didn't use enough, then just add more and put it back in the sun!
-to get bubbles out all you have to do is run a lighter over it
-once it sets it is super clear and it will magnify your image a little
Draw backs...none really, you can call it pricey but if you compare the curing time and hassels that you get when you buy its cheaper competitor...its really not.
Thanks! Hope this helped!

I purchased Gel Du Soleil for crafts. I love this stuff! I was very frustrated with other glazes/sealants. I've tried them all. My only complaint is that it is waaay too expensive. It needs to be cured either out in hot sun or w/a UV light, (often used for drying nails for manicures)I bought the light at Michael's crafts, and can only find Gel Du Soleil online, the cheapest on Amazon. Love this stuff, but I'll have to save up to buy some more..Very easy clean-up by the way, especially compared to other glazes/sealants.
Honest reviews on Judikins GP020 Gel Du Soleil Sunlight Curing Epoxy, 0.3-Ounce
Used the glue with a UV light source to repair a crystal drop from a chandler. Seemed to work fine but had to give 5 or 6 shots of about 5 seconds each from a UV source designed to set this type of adhesive before it set.

I love the concept of this item blobbing a little epoxy over my art (or in bezels), slide it under the UV lamp, and in a fraction of the time it takes for resin to cure, you're good to go! (I'm pretty sure you are supposed to be able to cure this in a window or outside. Even if the weather isn't particularly sunny.) My only issue is that the epoxy never seemed to fully cure. It wasn't a sticky, goopy mess...but you could definitely press your nail into it and have the nail mark remain. Not cool! I'm glad I didn't jump in and buy the big bottle which seems to be a better deal. Well, I suppose if you don't mind that your pendants, etc don't get totally hard then the large size IS a better deal...but if you like to create permanent jewelry (or other art) and are counting on achieving a "glass like" or "domed" finish, this probably isn't the product for you. Or me. I'll be trying out the Lisa Pavelka Magic Glos next (already bought it on Amazon) and depending on those results, may very well just have to get over my impatience regarding resin cure time. There may be some benefit to having a clear coating that doesn't get rock hard but I'm not sure what that is. Guess I'm not creative enough to figure it out.
