The unit is very solidly built, and the countdown timer and digital temp display are VERY useful. An excellent model if you're just getting into the heat pressing business. :)

We got this to do some Rhinestone Pressing. We then experimented with Print transfers and it is perfect. I would say that you should know what the operating temperatures should be before anything.

Warms up fairly quick. Once again its for starters or moderate volumes.

The price is perfect.

WOW! I am very impressed at how easy it is to make proffesional looking shirts. The paper we used was the HP Transfer paper. We had to fine tune the Temp to match the time so it took a few tries but we were finally able to get it to work. The Prints come out looking really good. I would suggest trimming around your prints to get rid of the white border as much as you can (so it doesn't look boxy unless that is the look you are going for). It looks good on white and colored shirts. The Temp we stuck with was about 350 degress at about 3-5 minutes.

The instructions for the machine are very basic so it requires a good deal of trial and error while learning to use it. The controls for temp and time are quite simple. I still have not figured out how to identify the pressure settings. I have used it about 5x so far and on one occassion it overheated. There is an alarm that goes off and let me know there was a problem. The next time I turned it on, the digital display still showed an error. After turning it on and off again, it seems to function properly again. I used it again since and it stayed at the correct temp without overheating.

I admit, I was intimidated by this large machine. It was all for naught though after I used it just once. Very simple to figure out and use right out of the box. I have made about 50 t-shirts with it already. I'm very happy with this purchase...especially the price!
