This kit is great; has everything you need for a beginner papers, quilling tools, ruler, tweezers, and a small sizer; even a double sided box to store them in. I purchased to take along on camping trips and can simply grab and go. I've had other 'beginning kits' as well, but this is just a better one.

Although I have never done quilling crafts before, everything I needed to learn basic techniques and to start I found in this kit. The only things that I added were scissors and imagination!.

This kit is great for a beginner. The patterns are easy to understand and follow and the kit comes with most of the supplies you need. The only thing I had to purchase seperately was a small cork board. It was a very good price for what you get.

So, I wanted to come up with a special idea for a gift made of paper for me and my wife's first anniversary. I finally, somehow, ended up at paper quilling. The idea was to make her a card and some earrings. I, as a man, knew nothing about this stuff. I found this kit and bought it.

When the kit arrived, it resembled a double sided pencil box or perhaps a small tackle box. I opened it and figured out what each of the pieces were. The book that comes with it describes the process pretty well with pictures and all. Once I got down the basics, I was able to sort of "wing it" and create my own designs fairly easily. On our anniversary, she loved it.

Bottom line, if you know nothing about quilling but want to learn, get this. The tools aren't professional quality, but it does come with glue, the paper, and even a couple of small cards you can use. It's a great starter kit.

This is a great kit, and wonderful for a beginner. Everything you need to get started is right in the box; tools, paper, directions; including a box to put everything in. It's also great to just pick up and take along on a trip and takes little space in RV's.
