I was pleased to find that these mattes are of good quality and include a nice variety of colors. Most of all everything you need is included, along with the mattes there are backing pieces and nice quality sleeves which will protect your matted picture.

They were also delivered promptly and securely packaged.

That includes gold and silver mats, as well as a spectrum of colors. The mats are 4-ply buffered low acid matboard and the backing sheets are a good quality (but not museum board) 4-ply white core mat board.

The set comes with 25 pre-cut standard opening mats, bundled together, and 25 backing boards, also bundled together. An envelope full of 25 11x14 (nominal) mylar bags is also included. Everything is self assembly; but if you didn't know how to mat and mount pictures, you probably wouldn't be looking for these in the first place.

All in all, this set is a very good value for the price, if you don't mind having a variety of mat colors to sort through. Be aware that most of the colors are in the "neutral" brown, tan, maroon family of colors. So if you want a lot of different shades of blue, you won't find them here.

Oh yes, I'm still looking for a use for the silver and gold mats.
