So I got these and figured you were supposed to use a hammer? Well that is an epic failure by any standards. I attached this to my arbor press and it works amazingly.

This tool is a cheap version of an anvil tool. However, next time I would buy one of better quality
that does not degrade, as this tool has degraded with little use. I did however... you guessed it...

I never did get the eyelets I needed to repair my boots properly so i can't say that I had much experience using this item, but as an amature machinist I can say that it's a bit rough. The contoured surfaces of the setter and tiny anvil are poorly machined which makes me think it would be more likely to catch the edge of an eyelet when trying to form it.
