I've purchased 2 of these. I'm very familiar with pink art products. Pink Art makes good student quality art supplies. But this apron exceeded my expectations. I've had my share of art aprons, all in common cream canvas colors, or black or blue jean color, but this apron certainly stands out. It is made of lovely pink canvas fabric, which is lined from the back with a protective layer of latex. I think it is very clever to have the latex lining from inside without looking cheap and plastic. It's just perfect, it has a look of elegant canvas apron, but if I should ever spill anything on myself like paints, printmaking acid, paint thinner etc, there is a layer of latex underneath to keep my clothes from getting ruined. The straps are great too. They adjust easily to accommodate any body type and any height. I gave my other apron to my 12 year old niece. I'd highly recommend this apron to any art student.

Watch out this is a child sized apron! However, I am short so I removed the very small neck opening and added my own ties by sewing on bias tape, and it is perfect. It is great for painting when you don't want to get paint on your clothes because it has a kind of plastic coating on the back. On a short adult, it comes to above your knees but covers chest and stomach.

I was surprised how heavy the canvas is. It's a nice medium weight and a pretty color, so your little artist will actually wear it.

The apron was advertized as a canvas apron which is what I was after. It was not mentioned that it is backed with plastic and can practically stand on its own. It is not worth the trouble of retuning it so I will end up putting it in the art garage sale.
