I had a light item I hung with these fall and break. I don't know if it was because it was above a door and it worked its way out by the vibration of opening and shutting the door. The door is to the laundry area so it sometimes gets kicked shut thus closing pretty hard. Needless to say I was not happy as it was something I really liked.
I liked the ease of putting it in and would hang items that if they fall it would not break or at least not be a big deal. Would use for hanging some seasonal items or in a lower spot above carpet. If I cared much about the item I would use picture hooks if I could.

I have used them before and they are perfect for decorating. HOWEVER, I wanted to order more than one package, When I tried to update or estimate shipping costs, it immediately placed the order. I deleted and tried again 3 times. The last time I couldn't even delete the order. I have never had this trouble with Amazon before; the shopping cart has always let me know the shipping costs before actually placing the order. I need more of these hooks but I really don't feel comfortable placing another order right now.
