Best Pro Art Square Artist Pastel Set, 12 White Colors Deals
My husband needed white pastels to add a realistic weathered touch to his HO scale model brick and wood (plastic) buildings. Most sets of soft pastels contain only one stick of white. Hard pastels for drawing are easier to find in white, but they are too waxy for this purpose. These sticks are perfect. They are just the right hardness--not as soft as fine art brands such as Rembrandt, but not as hard as drawing sticks. I use pastels too. I often go to drawing sessions with a model. I like to work on mid-toned paper such as Canson MiTientesCanson Mi-Teintes Pastel Assorted Pad 12 in. x 16 in. I use charcoal for the darks and white pastels such as these for the lights. It's great to know I can buy a set with nothing but white.
