The Plaid Paint By Number Kit Cat's Garden was very easy to paint and the results were pretty good. Most of the painting blended well and did not look like a paint-by-number effort. The cat portion of the painting did not look as good as the floral portions but still it wasn't bad.

Also, unlike some paint-by-number painting kits, Plaid insured there was enough paint to finish the project. I was very pleased Plaid did not skimp on the paint.

As with almost all paint-by-number kits, the paintbrush was not the best. For the best effect, I'd suggest purchasing and using a set of better quality paintbrushes. I used one of my inexpensive decorative paint brushes for most the project.

I like it, was a little unhappy with the actual finished product, it had more 'starkness' to it than I liked. However it makes a great picture for my spare bedroom.

Perfect for a beginner who wants the additional challenge of creating a larger, more artistic looking painting. Lots of room to add your own touch, but certainly not required. This kit looks fantastic if you simply go by the instructions. I painted mine in about a month, added my own touches (texture, highlights) and framed it. It's now hanging on my grandmother's living room wall and every one who visits thinks it's a "real" piece of art she purchased in a store. (Picture here on Amazon)

Too much black on the bottom of the painting. Doesn't look as pretty when finished as the ad. Other brands come out much better looking when finished.
