This kit is ok just for fun. But beware.... you will want to contact an expert when it comes to working with leather if you plan on selling your work.

The reason I say that is because if you use the STAIN and SUPER SHEEN that comes with the kit it rubs off. Like the belt that I stained and finished with super sheen( with the stain and super sheen that come with the kit), the stain rubbed off onto my pants.

So now you know why I said get help if you are planning on selling your work or planning on giving your work to other people.

I am sure they would be a little unhappy if they got stain on there clothes.

Everyone I have talked to said to use dyes and resolene, I have used dyes and resolene and haven't had a problem with any dyes rubbing off on clothes.

But don't take my word for it, check with the experts yourself.

I bought this for my father and he absolutely loves it as his new hobby! The tools and items that were included were of great quality! He even found a leather store where we live when he runs out of leather! He already made coasters and a cell phone holder! No complaints at all!
